Jess is shocked to read a short message from a foreign number. One said his house was seen emitting thick puffs of smoke from the kitchen.
Jess thought she had made breakfast before leaving this morning. But it's not too late, if the house just let out smoke now. The time has shown at 2 pm to afternoon.
This sounds like a prankster's auction to him.
Although a little hesitant, Jess still went to Mary's mother. Along the way Jess keeps thinking about just turning her memory. He remembered turning off the stove before leaving. That's what's been recorded clearly in his head at the moment.
Arriving in her yard, Jess was amazed to see the door of the house slightly open. This morning, he remembered locking it.
Arriving in the living room, Jess was even more surprised with a small pink jacket on the sofa. Then there was a Barbie doll that was lying on the floor just like that.
His mind was filled with many question marks. A woman's voice greeted her eardrum in such a gentle tone.
Jess raises her head to see an uninvited guest, who has been unwilling to enter her house without permission.
Jess's eyes narrowed. Trying to remember something, maybe he had seen the woman in front of him. But a few seconds later, Jess can't remember anything. In addition to seeing a foreign face that was smiling kindly towards him.
"Sorry, who are you?"
She walked closer to Jess.
"I'm Melisa and that one over there is my daughter Alissa. My daughter and Kent. You must understand what I mean, right? We got married a few years ago, and a few months ago Kent asked me for permission to marry an orphan. At first I balked, which wife is willing to share a husband." A long breath paused the woman's sentence.
"But Kent explains that your marriage is a symbiosis. I'm glad Kent doesn't really want to be double. It's evident Kent visits us all the time despite having another wife." Continue with a proud smile.
"Today Kent asked me and Eli to stay with him here. Being away from the people he cares about is excruciating and not easy to live with. Sorry if my words hurt you. I just don't want you to get your hopes up for this pseudo-marriage. Kent doesn't want you. He even said he'd divorce you in less than a month." The woman continued without caring about Jess' feelings.
"That's why we're here. Kent feels like Eli and I deserve to be in this house after you've been out of our lives." Quite simply so haughty but still packed with a warm smile made-up.
Jess is stuck in her place. A liverache? Not at all. It's just that Jess just realized, apparently Kent has had another life before him. Then why did the man marry her? And there's a reason Kent didn't want to share a room with him. The man tried to keep the feeling of his beloved wife. How lyrical.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know if Kent has a wife and a very beautiful daughter." Reply Jess glanced at a girl who was playing in the family room divider.
"He looks a lot like his father." Tukas Jess praised. For some reason seeing the contours of Eli's face makes Jess' memories flashback to the past. The face reminded her of someone she loved very much. Now he began to remember little by little, his memories trying to unravel the tangled threads on his head.
"Of course, wouldn't a princess always look like her father, would she?" Sahut Melisa smiled proudly while glancing at the child.
Jess smiled wryly at the answer that slightly tickled her heart.
"Whatchu mean? Kent is his real father. You think you're the one who dares to say the no-no about my daughter!" Hardik Melisa is angry. His eyes flashed with a huge blaze of anger. The woman felt insulted by the sentence that Jess said to her daughter.
"Ups! Excuse me. It means nothing. So you're the one who called me and said something silly, about the thick smoke billowing from my house?" Jess as calm as possible.
"Really! I just want you to know we're coming. From now on whatever's in this house, I'm the one who's gonna set her up as Kent Rahardjo's first wife." Melisa pongah. The woman looked at Jess with a demeaning cynical look.
Jess was not affected at all. Even though his heart was torn deeply. Jess still looks calm and firm.
"You're right. That thick smoke had turned into a flame that was ready to burn its inhabitants soon." Tukas Jess without any emotion.
"I just found out if a Christian man can have more than one wife. It is quite astonishing for me who lack understanding, the science of religion perfectly. Its nothing. All I know about my religious law is monogamy. Did she marry you in any other way? No problem, it's just that I'm a little tickled. Our marriage is registered in the eyes of the law of the country. And it doesn't signify me as a second wife."
Melissa looks nervous. But the woman's mentality is quite strong even though it has been tabok by reality.
Seeing Melisa not warting. Jess continued the sentence that was no less striking.
"Kent seems very good at choosing a wife. After his first wife was in the phase towards aging, Kent chose to accept marriage to a young woman on the pretext of an arranged marriage. But just for you to know, Kent accepted our marriage with just one question given by his parents. What a filial son, or indeed my thrilling charm. I don't know either." Jess shrugged her shoulders with a triumphant smile.
But it looks like a ledge in Melisa's eyes.
Intentions want to make Jess burn in the flames that she deliberately blazes. Now he is burning without rest.
Leaving two women in a slightly stressful emotional state. Kent was driving his car madly through traffic. His heart was upset because it had to be stuck in traffic that did not end.
Several times he called Jess's cell phone number which he had just obtained from the assistant. But the woman did not answer. Makes Kent even more frustrated.
Without the man knowing. If the two women he was afraid to meet each other, now he is having a hot chat at his house. Along the road Kent offered a prayer as high as the sky, until it pierced the seventh heaven. So that the two do not meet for a while.
While he still takes care of all the complicated things in the marriage. Such was the simple hope of a Kent Rahardjo.
Arriving in the yard, Kent parked his car. Seeing the door of the house half open, Kent's heartbeat grew timid. A man is like a husband caught cheating on him by his wife.
With wide strides, Kent walked quickly towards the inside of the house. The first thing he got was a welcome with the voice of the little guy, Eli. Who ran to meet him in the living room, then followed by Melisa who smiled sinlessly towards him.
Kent's so sick of seeing it. The woman had just sprinkled salt on him, making his head cold hot to resist the outpouring of anger.
