Chapter 4 - 1: Training and Dreaming!

The explosion of grenades and the sound of gunfire were heard in the silence of the night.

"Does the enemy keep attacking using that damn weapon?" gero asked the soldier.

"Yes, they keep firing that gas at our troops!" replied the soldier with breath.

"See, then order our troops not to approach the place before the gas disappears!" gero's orders to the soldier.

"B-good Major!" said the soldier saluted as he left Gero.

Gero then went towards the communication tent.

The soldiers in the tent greeted Major Gero who looked handsome with a slightly stocky body using his brown dress and the rank of one sunflower on his shoulder.

"Major!" call one of the soldiers sitting with a mic in front of him.

"What's going on?" gero was confused.

"The center has sent help!" answer the soldier.

"Help?" ask Gero wonder.

"Yes, the help you asked for yesterday, and are on your way here!" answer the soldier again.

"Hmm... How many?" gero asked with a slightly relieved expression.

"That-that's it. the center said they only sent one man.." said the soldier stammering.

"Ha?.. one person... cih.... are they kidding!" gero snapped while crossing the table on his right.

"Do they not know what we are fighting?.. yes... we are fighting an enemy that uses XV gas.... And they only send one person?" said Gero again who looked a little upset.

While expressing his frustration, suddenly the radio on the table where Gero hit his hand rang and the sound was like being in a helicopter.

"Tsssstt.. we hamp... Colon.. tsssttt.." heard the words of the pilot in a disjointed voice.

"Soldiers in the Artgena area were asked to vacate the area!" say that voice again.

"I-that's... What does that mean?" gero was confused.

"Maybe the help they sent is near Major!" said one soldier.

"Hmph...the cleaning will begin soon.." a woman's voice came from the radio.

Instantly the soldiers who were in the area mentioned heard it through the radio they brought.

"Oi... Did you hear that just now?" ask a soldier who is sheltering behind a moat.

"What does that mean?. Who told us to back off?" answer the other soldiers.

"Come on. I think it's from Major Gero!" said one of the soldiers who was there.

"But...what does that mean with cleaning?" ask the other soldiers who are in the trenches and are looking at the enemy who is quite far in front of him.

"The command is still the command.. immediately withdraw!" said one of the Commanders with a slightly stout body.

"Well Sir!" said those soldiers.

The soldiers who were in the area immediately retreated slowly and quietly so that the enemy did not know if their opponent had left the place.

Meanwhile, the Kuvernt troops who were on guard at a small fortress they built not far from Artgena were seen preparing to send their troops to help the soldiers who were in the battle area.

In the fortress were three flags, with a dark blue background and a large and white letter X so that each end of the letter touches the corner on the flag and does not forget in the letter there are also four black lines which are on each of the lines.

Also visible in the middle of the letter X is a circle with a picture of a one-horned rhino facing forward and showing the appearance of an angry face and located in the circle.

In front of the fortress stood 150 soldiers who used the K3 Gas Mask as well as carrying the Assault Rifle and wearing light blue army clothes were lined up neatly waiting for the order to slide into the battle area.

"Is the whole army ready?" ask a soldier Commander who just came out of the fort.

 "Yes sir!.. Are we going to attack now?" ask the soldier who is leading the 150 troops.

"Yes... Colonel Leno wants to immediately seize their anti-tank ditches!. So that our fighting vehicles can advance and attack their nearest town!" said the Commander.

"Well Sir!" reply the soldier while ordering the troops to go to the Artgena area.

The troops moved to the Artgena area using 21 units of military troop transport trucks, one truck containing 22 soldiers with 2 soldiers in front and 20 soldiers in the rear.

In the middle of a very dark night, the trucks passed through a slightly shady forest, car lights illuminate the road and also seen rocks covered with a little mud crushed by the truck tires are large enough.

They also speed up the vehicle.

Meanwhile, above the sky of the Artgena area, appeared a fairly large black owl and flew around the central area in the area, the bird looks like it is monitoring its target from above the sky high enough.

The Kuvernt soldiers who witnessed this then panicked because they knew it was not an indiscriminate creature.

Because the bird was flying at a high enough height, the creature was also seen by Xenozia soldiers who were at the camp not far from the area.

"Major Gero!" said the soldier went into the communications tent.

"What's going on?" gero was confused.

"Outside..outside there are huge creatures flying in the Artgena area!" replied the soldier in a slightly panicked tone.

"Creatures?" gero did not understand.

"The great black owl is spinning above the sky of Artgena!" answer the soldier again.

"What did you say...." Gero went out to see the creature.

After seeing the creature with his own eyes, Gero looked puzzled.

"I-it's a summoned creature of an Artifacts!" gero said in a slightly surprised tone.

"Artifacts?" ask the soldier beside him.

"But... who uses it?... does the enemy side?" mumbling Gero.

However, while Gero was thinking about who was using the object, suddenly a low-flying helicopter passed over them quickly and headed to the Artgena area.

There was a sound of HT radio attached to the waist of one of the soldiers standing next to Gero.

"Tssst... Yeah!. We've reached Colonel.." said the voice from the radio.

"Close to Recon.." said the Colonel.

"Good Colonel... Tsst...."

Gero who saw the helicopter heading towards Artgena then could not believe what he heard from the radio.

"K-Colonel?"  he said with a nervous tone.

"Ah. lest the help sent by the center is them... Major!" said the soldier who was next to Gero.

"...." - ".Gero could only be silent as he looked at the helicopter.

The UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter flew fairly quickly towards the owl circling above the Kuvernt soldiers.

The Kuvernt soldiers saw a helicopter approaching them and prepared to shoot down the aircraft using an Air Missile with the MIM-23 Hawk type.

"Wait..How about that thing?" ask a soldier.

"We don't know who called him. It's important we drop the heli first!" said the soldier who tried to activate the missile system.

"O-oi... look!" one of the soldiers pointed at the helicopter.

Someone was standing at the door of the helicopter that was open, while using a black robe with yellow gold stripes on the arms and at the bottom and wearing a white cat mask with a motif of three red lines on the cheeks, a star on the forehead and a line on the chin.

The man looked and watched the Kuvernt soldiers who were under him.

"It's still not visible...."

"Colonel?" the pilot told the man.

"Yes.I'll get started soon!" said the Colonel.

The colonel wearing the black robe then took out his hand while grasping something.

Yes, he held a gun with a type of Revolving Flintlock with 3 bronze Barrels and was seen on top of his Barrel a small owl statue.

Directed at the flying owl, the Colonel fired three small balls from each Muzzle at the weapon.

"What's that?" ask the Kuvernt soldiers.

"I don't know, blow up that helicopter and kill that Artifacts user!" said one soldier.

"The system's activated, the preparation to shoot!" said the soldier who was busy fiddling with the computer system in front of him.

The soldier aimed at the helicopter and pressed the launch button, with the missile launching at high speed.

The colonel, who saw the missile approaching and immediately raised his right hand forward and pointed it towards the missile.

With a speed that exceeds the missile glides, the owl that had just circled around swiftly pointed towards the missile and caught it using two legs.

The missile that had slightly destroyed the helicopter was now in the strong grip of the owl.

"Recon... do!" the colonel told the owl to do something.

The owl nimbly flew out and approached towards the Missile Launcher.

Very quickly the bird turned its body and pointed the missile at its feet towards the Kuvernt soldiers and threw it back at them.

A massive explosion kills several Kuvernt soldiers and destroys the Missile Launcher until it is left.

The Kuvernt relief soldiers who were on their way and not far from the Artgena area saw the explosion.

"What's that!"

"Has Xenozia's army counterattacked our forces?" said the soldier who led the 150 troops.

"Sir.we must hurry!"

"Yes..prepare yourself!" say that leader.

The owl returned to the top of the balls and circled around like before.

"Okay, it seems that only you are left.." said the Colonel looked down and observed the surviving Kuvernt soldiers.

The surviving soldiers ran to save themselves after their attempt to fire at the helicopter with their Rifle failed.

"Hmph.I will not let you escape." said the Colonel, raising his index finger and twirling it slowly toward the balls.

Each of these spheres gives off a light that is slightly thin but very hot.

"The Dance of Darkness." said the Colonel slowly.

Very quickly three lasers came out of the balls and directly hit the ground, not just there, the lasers then moved like a dance light and immediately slaughtered the Kuvernt soldiers in the Artgena area.

As the process of slaughter was underway, Kuvernt's relief force arrived and saw the incident, they all swiftly got off the trucks and ran for their lives.

"What the hell is that.why there are Artifacts users here!" said one of the soldiers hiding behind a tree.

"Immediately tell Colonel Leno.." said another soldier.

Seeing the aid troops coming, the Colonel immediately moved the balls towards them to get into the attack range.

And the balls are moving slowly followed by the owl above them.

"Laser Barricade." said the Colonel as he raised his hand toward the relief force.

A laser barricade appears from the north where it came from and the barricade forms a box with a large enough area that the enemy will not be able to escape.

Soldiers who were trapped immediately fell down because the randomly moving laser hit their bodies and melted the body part exposed to the thin light.

Not only humans, the objects that were exposed to the light also melted and shattered.

"We're going to camp" the Colonel said, ordering the pilot who was carrying the helicopter.

"Good Colonel!" reply the pilot.

After massacring the Kuvernt army, which had totaled 200 men, the Colonel went to the camp where the Xenozian soldiers were.

When the helicopter arrived and was above the camp, Gero who saw the helicopter immediately ordered the other soldiers to gather.

The colonel jumped off a helicopter that flew about 80 feet and landed on top of an owl and took it down to the ground.

"Are you a Colonel?" gero asked the person wearing the black robe and the mask.

"Yes!" the Colonel replied coldly.

Hearing the answer, Gero saluted him and asked a few questions.

"Sorry Colonel... If I may know...what is your name?" ask Gero curiously.

"Dark... Just Sky!" said Colonel Sekar.

"S-Dark?" said the soldiers who heard him were shocked.

"If it's not wrong you're directly under the orders of General Celiona?" gero was nervous.

"Yes.." replied Sekar in a cold tone.

"A-ah.. T-thank you for coming to help the Colonel!" gero said while being respectful with an expression that looked nervous.

"I did it because I was commanded by the General, thank him!" said Sekar while exhaling slowly because he saw they were too nervous.

"But why are you?. Aren't you the one who's always been by General Celiona's side?" gero was confused.

"K-Colonel Sekar... s-I just saw you directly today... because your identity is confidential... j-so may I ask for your signature?" ask a soldier in a stammering tone.

"No. I'm not going to give it to you, because there's still something important to do...."

Sekar had not finished his speech, suddenly the helicopter above them was hit by an attack and destroyed the propeller.

The helicopter quickly crashed and hit the ground, killing the pilot inside.

"W-what happened?" said the Xenozia soldiers were confused.

"Reward attack?" ask Gero in fear.

Because in the field of battle if the enemy opens the battle with the power of Artifacts, other Artifacts users will come and reply to the attack with Artifacts as well, for it is highly unlikely that modern soldiers and weapons face a force beyond their minds.

Sekar swiftly called out to Recon and escorted him back to the Artgena area to check who was attacking.

While in the air, Sekar was attacked by a very strong black lightning.

"Recon.. dodge!" say to the bird.

While in Artgena, Sekar saw someone standing right under the balls he had made before.

"It's just myself?" muttered Sekar while watching his surroundings.

It was seen that the man was wearing a dark blue army shirt, with a shield-shaped medal on his left chest, and on his shoulders was seen a rank with the emblem of 3 sun emblems, and, on the back of his shirt was a circle with a sword in it.

Sekar approached the man and came down from Recon, with a look that looked like he was not a soldier and asked Sekar.

"Who are you?" said the man looked angry.

"It doesn't matter who I am.. do you want to avenge the deaths of your soldiers?" asked Sekar in a cold tone and folded his hands on his chest.

"Hmm.. I don't think I have much time to play with you. or I'll get angry with him!" said Sekar again while checking the watch in his right hand.

"Cih.." said the man while lifting a slightly long stick with a black lightning shape at the top of the stick.

From above the sky black lightning struck towards Sekar standing, and it quickly avoided the attack by jumping backwards.

"Ho-ho.. lightning user!" said Sekar in a relaxed tone and placed his right hand on his waist.

"Huffftt.I don't even know why things like this exist in our world!" said Sekar with a slightly complaining tone.

About 500 meters from the Artgena area were seen two people wearing chicken and horse-shaped masks and wearing black hoodie robes, behind their clothes were pictures of animals according to the masks they used, the two of them were seen watching the fight in the area using binoculars.

"How's it?" said a man wearing a horse mask and holding a sniper.

"It looks like they're still talking!" reply a woman with a chicken mask and using binoculars.

"Then what about the meeting?" ask the man.

"I think there's four days left for us to get back to Trafors!" reply to the woman.

"Hmm.." said the man coldly.

"Ah...it looks like they're about to start the fight!" said the woman while still watching the two of them.

"Hmm.. who will win?" asked the man, looking bored.

"That's it, whoever wins our job is to kill them both" the woman replied.

Sekar who began to look bored then wanted to quickly end the battle.

"Don't think by dodging the attack you're feeling great!" said the man with an expression that looked very angry.

"Hmm. I've never even felt that!" reply to Me casually.

"I am a Colonel from the country of Kuvernt... Leno Haun." said Leno.

"I... Vast... Just Sky!" said Sekar introducing himself in a cold tone.

"Then do not have to linger. I will avenge the death of my soldiers" Leno replied.

"Hmm.. alright!" say Sekar with a tone that sounds bored.

"Legendary Artifacts: Death Thunder" Leno said in a very upset tone.

"Legendary Artifacts : Gun of Darkness," she replied softly.

The battle took place at midnight at 03:00.
