Chapter 1 - 3: The New Era

They draw closer to Yuichi to see the thing that was just seen from inside the apple that was destroyed by Yuichi.

Casta looked at the thing in Yuichi's hand with a serious look, then said to him.

"Yuichi what is it?"

"I think it's a pendant necklace."

"Where do you know if there's that thing in there?"

"I'm just guessing, isn't it weird, an apple that has bite marks on its side but doesn't show any discoloration there."

"Then how do you know if the apple is in my bag?"

"Hmm. didn't I tell you that my nose is sensitive to something sweet."

"Maybe?"

"Eh... Yuichi it seems there is a photo" Linda said as she approached Yuichi.

"Yes, but the picture is less clear and this is only a black and white image," Yuichi while looking at the pendant he was holding.

"Two little boys and girls, who are they?" linda said again while taking the pendant out of Yuichi's hand.

Then Zaki docked to Linda and looked closely at the picture in the locket.

Two small children were standing side by side in front of a large tree, although the picture was not very clear, but it could still be seen if the boy on the left was holding a sword in his left hand with a wide smile, and the woman on the right was seen hugging a doll and her left hand was holding a flower with a gentle smile.

"They look happy." said Zaki with a gentle smile looking at the picture.

"But why could there be such a thing in it," asked Ayla in surprise.

"It looks like we really have to take information from the owner of the fruit shop," said Casta.

After discussing at length about the foreign pendant found in the apple brought by Casta, due to the dark day they ended the conversation by asking the three people's purpose.

"Well Linda.. Then what do you plan to do in the future?" ask Casta while looking at them.

"I don't know, because I don't remember about myself or my past."

"If you were Yuichi?.. What would you do after this?"

"Hmm. I haven't thought about it."

Then suddenly Zaki cuts off Yuichi's conversation.

"I want to see that Colonel again, can you tell him."

"Well?.why do you want to meet her?"

"His room is on the third floor" the maid gave him a key with the number 308.

After paying the rent they went straight to the neighbor who was on the left and to go to the upper room.

When he was in front of the door of the room with the number 308, Casta opened the door using the key he had held and entered the room, seen a Spring Bed mattress with a size that is quite large and fit for two people, then Ayla turn on the light that is not so bright.

Casta then sat down on the chair and took out a diary and report book and put it on the table and said to Ayla.

"Ayla, you take a shower first, I want to check the report paper today."

"Hm... Okay!"

Ayla who had sat on the bed stood up, then walked to the bathroom, she took off her clothes and put them on the clothes hanger, he said, then into the bathroom that is not too big and there is a Bathtub, he began to wash his body using a Shower before soaking using the Bathtub.

While Casta was busy looking at some of the sheets of paper he was carrying, he was, he remembered all the things that had happened today and again he was curious about the man in black who he met during the day and what it had to do with the pendant that was inside the apple.

"Zaki...." Casta leaned his head against the recline of the chair and spoke softly while looking up at the ceiling and closed his eyes slowly.

Not long after Casta heard a voice calling her name, when she opened her eyes Ayla was done bathing, rubbing a towel into her hair, Ayla asked Casta.

"Casta. You look tired."

"Hufft... I'm gonna take a shower first."

"I have prepared the warm water."

"Thank you Ayla," while running a little closer to Ayla and pinched her cheek slowly.

When after cleaning himself with the Shower, Casta soaked in a bathtub that had been filled with warm water, while soaking he thought back about joining the Division.

Casta fell asleep while soaking for about 10 minutes, then again a voice called out to him from outside.

"Casta... Are you okay?"

Casta who woke up was shocked and returned the call.

"Castas... I'd like to go buy a quick bite to eat, would you like a nitip?" ayla asked from outside the bathroom.

"I want fries."

Ayla walked up to the lobby stairs and went out to buy some food, Casta finished her bath and came out of the Bathtub and took a towel from the hanger and dried her body.

And with the towel he put on his head he sat down and wrote whatever he wanted to report, not long after the door of the room was opened, ayla had come home from buying food and she brought some food for them to eat.

"Hmm.." nodded Ayla as she walked towards Casta and gave her a plastic bag containing French fries.

"Thank you Ayla."

"Well... Casta, are we back at the center tomorrow?"

"Yes, 'cause I think they're gonna be okay, and anyway, doesn't Zaki want me to take the message to the Colonel."

"Oh yeah.. What about that guy?"

"Hmm. maybe tomorrow before we go back we stop by the hospital for a minute to see the father's condition."

"okay!... Casta, eat up I go to sleep first yeah."

"Yes, I'll finish this report out first it's also sleep."

Casta did his report while snacking on his fries, and soon he finally finished his report.

"Finally done, too...."

Stretching his body and shoulders he stood up and went to the top of the mattress where Ayla had already fallen asleep, when he was in the mattress, he pulled the blanket and saw Ayla's face that had fallen asleep, he looked up at the ceiling, inwardly saying....

"Does he want me to ask him to sign up for Division?"

He closed his eyes slowly and fell asleep.

Then when he was asleep, Casta felt a feeling of heat on his body, and suddenly he woke up, when he opened his eyes it was already bright, and he looked towards Ayla who was opening the window curtains and opening the window, a cool breeze came into the room and also the morning sunlight.

"Eh... Did I wake you up?" ayla asked Casta who still looked half conscious.

"It's okay, it's morning" replied Casta as she yawned and rubbed her eyes.

Then Casta checked his phone that he put next to his pillow, it turns out there is one incoming message, he immediately opened the message and it turned out that it was a message from doctor Kurdan.

"Doctor Kurdan sent me a message" Casta said.

"What's it say?" ask Ayla curious.

"He told her that the fruit seller had improved a little, and we could ask her about what had happened."

"Ah. that's good news."

"After breakfast we'll go straight there."

"Well, then I take a shower and then I buy food."

"I'm the one who buys food, you take a shower."

"Hmm. well, then I'll order bread and milk."

"Okay. We have breakfast bread and milk only this morning."

Then Ayla went to the bathroom, while Casta got out of her bed and stood flexing her body and walked towards the open window, he looked out the window in the morning so beautiful, because they are on the third floor, it is high enough to see the beauty of the buildings that are illuminated by the morning sun add an unspoken impression and the people outside are not so crowded, but some take a walk with their pets and exercise.

Then Casta who only uses a tanktop then took and put on his clothes and went down to buy food, but when he went down to the first floor and went to the exit, there was a maid who was cleaning at the inn who greeted her.

"Ah... Good morning...." Casta replied to her while smiling.

"Where are you going early this morning?"

"I want to buy food."

"In the back room there is a cafeteria that provides a lot of food."

"Haa..really?" casta said he did not believe it.

"Hmm. You can go down this road and go straight back" the woman said.

"Thank you very much" said Casta smiling gently.

"Together," the woman also smiled gently.

Casta said goodbye to the woman and went to the back room to go to the cafeteria in question, after being in the room in question he did see there was a cafeteria open there and it turned out that quite a lot of people were there for breakfast.

Then Casta walked towards the food seller there, and was greeted kindly by the seller.

"Good morning.. Can I help you?" welcome the friendly smiling female salesman.

"I want to order food."

"What food you want to order, please look at the menu first," the woman gave the menu book to Casta.

Casta also took the menu book and looked at what foods are available there. After a while looking at the menu he finally ordered a sandwich and milk.

"I ordered two sandwiches and only milk," Casta ordered while giving back the menu book to the seller.

"Okay..wait a minute...."

While waiting, Casta sat on an empty chair, while looking at the atmosphere of the canteen which was increasingly crowded people who wanted to eat breakfast, he did not expect an inn like this would be many people staying here, he said, he thought maybe because the price is cheap, so people choose lodging here like himself.

Not long after the seller called Casta to tell him that the message was ready, Casta stood up from his chair and went to the seller to pay and take his order, after which he agreed to return to the room.

Arriving in front of the room, he opened the door and saw Ayla who had taken a bath near the window while rubbing a towel in her hair while looking out the window, Ayla who realized Casta had returned then turned around and welcomed him.

"Ah... Casta you're back."

"Hmmm...." Casta nodded and headed for the table to put down the food he had brought.

"Casta, where did you buy that food?.. I didn't see you outside?"

"Oh that. I bought it in the back cafeteria."

"Haaa?.. Is there a canteen?" ayla was shocked.

"Yes, when I wanted to get out there was this woman who was cleaning up telling me there was a cafeteria back there."

"Hmm. but I didn't expect in a place like this they opened a canteen."

"There is also quite crowded, maybe because the price of cheap lodging so many who stay here."

"Well, let's eat first, then I'll take a shower and we'll get ready for the hospital."

"Will you come to Division?" asked Casta with a serious look.

"Hmm. can...." Ayla accepted Casta's invitation as if there was no burden of thought residing in her brain.

"Heh?...." Casta with an astonished and foolish expression looked at Ayla who was so easy to accept the invitation.

"Hm... What's with your expression?"

"A-are you serious about coming?" ask Casta in a tone of guilt.

"Yes, I think it'll be interesting."

"But according to the news I heard it will be a tough test."

"It's okay, I like to accept such a challenge," Ayla continued to answer him in a feisty tone.

"Huff...." Casta let out a long sigh and felt guilty for bringing his best friend into such things.

"Casta... Why don't you tell me in a message that they want to see Colonel Mervis?" ask Ayla wonder.

After a silly conversation between the two of them, Casta sends a message and tells the Colonel that Zaki wants to see him, while waiting for his reply and they happen to have finished eating, Casta stood up then went to the bathroom to clean his body.

Meanwhile Ayla got ready and cleaned up the room they were leaving, after doing the cleaning she dressed up, and, and wearing a black Patrol Cap with a golden crescent emblem accompanied by a pistol image on the left and right of the crescent moon.

While Ayla was posing in front of the glass, Casta came out of the bathroom.

"Ayla, what are you doing?"

"Well... Casta... What do you think?" ayla asked while posing in front of Casta.

"Cih.. You're not good at judging people well, I think you'll be single forever!" ayla said with a quip expression.

"Haaaaah?" Casta who ran small towards Ayla and pinched her cheeks with a slight force.

Then the phone sounds Casta, he went straight to the table and saw his cell phone.

"Colonel Mervis told us to take them to the center."

"Heeee.. Why is that."

"Of course, it means we visit them again first and then visit the fruit seller."

"All right."

"Okay. I'll change for a minute."

Casta wears his shirt and gets ready to go to the hospital again and tells Zaki, Linda and Yuichi to come to the center to meet Colonel Mervis.

After they were ready, and the room was cleaned, Casta locked the door and they went downstairs to return the keys to the innkeeper.

On the way to the hospital they stopped by to buy fruits and a little snack, and after buying some food they immediately rushed to the hospital due to the increasingly daytime.

Arriving at the hospital, Casta approached the receptionist and asked the patient room they wanted to meet.

"Oh... You guys were yesterday well, can I help you?" greet the sisters they met yesterday.

"We wanted to ask the room of the fruit-sellers we brought here yesterday."

"He is, yes, his room is on the second floor number 3."

"Thank you so much sister" Casta smiled.

"Together," replied the nurse's smile.

"Nah Casta, are we going to see him first?"

"No, I want to invite them to meet this father, so as not to bother getting ready again later."

"Ah.. that's how it is," Ayla replied understanding Casta's intentions.

After they say goodbye to the sister, they head to Linda's room, but after opening Linda is not in her room.

"Well?.. Has the woman never been in her own room" Casta said.

Then they headed to Zaki's room right next to Linda's, Casta immediately opened Zaki's door and saw Linda who was feeding Zaki eating her morning.

Then Linda and Zaki were surprised because Casta and Ayla opened the door and entered without permission first.

"Can you knock on the door from the outside before entering" Zaki said in an annoyed tone.

"hee... Casta's...." Linda ran small towards Casta and hugged him.

"Hey.. what are you doing...." Shy Casta tries to let go of the spoiled hug given by Linda.

"Are you here until the afternoon again?" linda said with pleasure.

"No. There are things I want to tell you" Casta said seriously.

Linda and Zaki listen to what Casta has to say.

"Heeeh... We were told to go there?" ask Linda in shock.

"Yes, that is, because Zaki said he wanted to see him, because he could not come here, then you were the one who was told to go there," Casta explained.

"All right, I'll come along" replied Zaki.

"Then I'll go to Yuichi's place and bring him here" Linda said.

"Well Linda, in order not to take much time, I want you to go straight to room number three on the second floor, because there's someone I want to meet there."

Linda leaves the room to pick up Yuichi, meanwhile, Zaki gets out of bed and gets ready to go out of the hospital to a new outside world for the first time in the present era.
