Chapter 2 - 1: Destination

At the headquarters in the city of Yordafala, Colonel Mervis is seen reading a book about the history of the laboratory in antiquity, and also seen on his desk there are several piles of books, he wanted to find out if there is a laboratory that is still not found in the present day.

When he was focusing on reading, suddenly the phone he put next to the pile of books rang, he turned his gaze towards the phone while taking it.

"Who else is bothering me when I'm busy like this" he muttered in annoyance.

After checking who was bothering him, it turned out to be a message from Casta who asked permission to use a military car in Colonel Mervis' office to return to the center and bring the three people who wanted to see him.

Mervis agreed to Casta's request and again advised not to forget to bring the book left on the desk of his room in the city of Bergorm, when finished replying to the message sent by Casta, who had not forgotten the book left behind, he then put the book in his hand and moved from his seat to meet General Rayfox and told the General that the three men would come to the headquarters.

Casta, who is in a hospital in the town of Bergorm and accompanied by Ayla, is preparing to return to Yordafala before returning, Casta there are still some tasks that he has to complete there.

"I told the Colonel to use the car in his office."

"Then what did he say?"

"Yes, we're allowed to take him."

"Thank God, because I have no money to pay for train tickets" Ayla complained.

"Hmm... It seems that when I return I will ask the Colonel for my salary," muttered Casta annoyed, "Nah Zaki.... have you finished cleaning your things?"

"Huh?" zaki was confused.

"Why are you looking at me with such a pitiful look?" said Casta wonder.

"I'm ready from now on, I don't have anything here anyway" Zaki said with a foolish expression.

"Ah...you're right.The only thing you have is the hospital clothes you're wearing right now," Casta said with a slight sneer at Zaki subtly.

"Yes. yeah." Zaki replied with a cold speech.

"Well... Casta, let's go to the fruit seller's place" said Ayla.

"Ah... hmm.." nodded Casta.

Casta and Ayla walked out of the room, followed by Zaki who was staring at the room and closed the door slowly from outside.

While on his way to the second floor, Zaki also wanted to ask a little about the outside world he would meet with Casta and Ayla, he said, while looking timidly and reluctantly he ventured to ask the two women he rated quite ferocious and annoying.

"Ca-Casta." she said nervously.

Casta who heard that immediately looked towards Zaki and asked.

"Hmm... What's wrong?"

"I want to know a little bit about this place."

"This place?.. You mean this hospital?... If that's not me, you should ask doctor Kurdan," replied Casta with a stupid expression.

"It's not like that. I mean about this world," said Zaki who was upset to change his question.

"Haaah.where do I know, I am God," Casta replied in a resentful tone while looking at Zaki.

"Sad... Why would a bitch like you get into the army," Zaki replied by approaching Casta and looking at him.

"Haaah?...."

Then they looked at each other and were upset with little veins coming out around their heads, and the people who were around looked at them, Ayla who was aware of it was immediately trying to break up both of them.

"You guys don't fight here" Ayla said softly and frantically.

"In-he first started," Zaki explained as he looked at Ayla.

"Haa.what do you mean, aren't you the one who is clearly giving such a silly question," Casta replied in a slightly harsh tone.

"Already Casta, Zaki also.didn't we have to be at the center as soon as possible, the Colonel is waiting for us," said Ayla trying to stop the dispute.

"Yes.you're right Ayla. We don't have much time for a storm like this" said Casta.

Hearing this, Zaki said in his heart, "Sikampret, didn't he start it," with a cynical and annoyed expression and narrowed his eyes to look at Casta.

"I'll tell you later when Linda and Yuichi are back" Casta said coldly.

Then they walked up to the stairs to the second floor.

After being in front of the door with room number three, casta opened the door and they went inside, it turns out that inside there was a doctor Kurdan who was checking the condition of the father.

There was a middle-aged man in his 40s with slightly short brown hair and a little mustache and a short beard sitting on his bed.

"Excuse me doctor" said Casta.

"Ah.. y'all have come yes," replied the doctor with a smile and looked towards them.

Casta while looking at the fruit seller who was sitting leaning on his mattress.

"Are you okay?" ask Casta while approaching the father.

"Did you guys drive me here yesterday?"

"Hmmm...." Casta nodded.

"Thank you very much, I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't been brought here quickly yesterday" the man replied as he lowered his head.

"It just so happened that we were passing there at the time of the incident" Casta said.

"Excuse me.. If you may know if yesterday was anything strange?" cut Ayla down and ask the father.

"It just so happens that we came here to also want to take information from you about what happened yesterday" Casta explained.

The fruit seller began to tell the story little by little.

"At the time I was yelling to offer fruit to passersby, suddenly a man came up to me."

"Man?"

"Yes, I guess he wanted to buy the fruit I was offering, and at first as usual, then suddenly he asked me."

"What did he ask?" said Casta curious.

Zaki, Ayla, and the doctor Kurdan who were there only listened to the information provided by the fruit seller, but before the fruit seller answered Casta's question, suddenly the door of the room that had been closed was opened by someone, they were shocked and turned their eyes towards the door.

Yes, it turns out that Linda and Yuichi are already at the door of the room, they both with stupid expressions then greet those who are inside.

"Yohooo.." said Linda.

"Hmm..why is this, why have you guys been so happy to hang out like this lately," Yuichi asked as he held his chin as if thinking about something.

"Ah... y'all are here," said Ayla.

"Linda, Yuichi, come in and close the door again, because there's something very important that's being talked about here" Casta told the publication.

Linda and Yuichi enter the room and join forces to listen to the story of the fruit seller while closing the door.

"Hm... Zaki, what's with that stupid look of yours?" ask Yuichi.

"Ha?.. Because I don't understand what they're talking about here, and when I talk it'll only upset them, because I'm always wrong in the eyes of the two women," answer Zaki.

"Hmm. So the point is that you think you're something that you don't want."

"Nah Zaki, Yuichi..can you now shut up?.. I want to hear the continuation of this story," asked Casta annoyed at hearing Zaki and Yuichi who spoke unimportant things.

"Well, you saw it." said Zaki while putting on a look of annoyance.

Doctor Kurdan and the fruit seller who saw the attitude of each of them could only smile.

"Ah sorry there was a little commotion.. Can you continue the story earlier?"

"Haha.no problem," the seller replied with a small laugh.

"So what did he ask?"

"He asked if anyone had been found in the lab in the woods around here."

"He asked like that?" ayla.

"Yes, I said it, there were three people and they were in the hospital."

Those who heard grew curious as to who the man was.

"Well, Zaki, aren't they talking about us?" yuichi whispered softly into Zaki's ear.

"Yes, I also wonder who that man is" Zaki said.

"Could he know us?" ask Linda.

"Hmm. I don't know" said Yuichi.

"It looks like I want to meet that guy too" Zaki replied.

The three of them whispered to each other, but unconsciously their whispers grew louder and were heard by the others.

"If you had met him, then what would you have done?" said Casta who heard their talk.

"Hee.. You eavesdropped on our conversation well," Zaki said as he glanced with an irritated look and narrowed eyes.

"Hey.. eavesdropping is not good." said Yuichi while pointing at Casta with an annoyed expression.

"Yes.. yes... it's up to you, so, can you please shut up now?... I want to get to the core of this story immediately, so that we can quickly return to the center," said Casta in a cold tone and raised his hand while swinging it as if he did not care about the two men.

"At noon soon, Zaki, Yuichi too, I beg you to shut up for a moment" Ayla said, pleading with the two while bowing her body.

"I'm sorry, I'll take care of them, if they talk again, I'll hit him" Linda said, smiling at Ayla.

Zaki and Yuichi then sat down together, "Ah.he is already on their side," while looking at Linda with a resigned look.

"Ah.. sorry once again sir.can you continue the story," said Casta.

The father understood their behavior and laughed and continued his story.

"Hmm. The man also asked for a name."

"Name?" ask Casta again curious.

"Yes, if his name is not wrong." the father tried to remember the name the man said while holding his chin.

They were curious while waiting for the name that the fruit seller would mention.

"Ah.. his name is Rin.." said the father.

"Rin?" those who hear it are confused.

"Yes... Rin, he asked if one of those found was named Captain Rin."

"Gerrr... Zaki.." said Linda while staring spookily at Zaki.

"Ah. sorry...."

"Then what do you say" Casta told the father.

"I answered not knowing, after that suddenly my vision darkened, and I heard a voice he said 'Cih.you are useless' and also the sound of an apple bite, then when I realized, I was already lying on the ground and looking at you guys."

Casta tried to think again about how the incident could have happened.

"Ah....if you may know, the man was wearing what kind of clothes?..I may have seen him on the location and can find out his identity," said Casta curious.

"If it's not wrong she's wearing all black with a hoodie covering her eyes, so I can only see her mouth."

After hearing that, Casta then remembered about the mysterious man he met and suddenly disappeared.

"Ayla... Is it true that you didn't see anyone passing in front of us yesterday?" said Casta curious.

"Yes, I don't see a man who looks like that."

"Is the man you saw the same as this one says?" ask Ayla.

"Yes, I even heard him talk."

"Ha?.. What did he say?" ask Ayla curious.

"If it's not wrong... 'Send my regards to him' .. like that," replied Casta puzzled.

"Who is it?. Who is it?" ask Ayla again.

"Let's know.maybe it's just my hallucination."

Then Casta remembered the thing in the apple he had met and asked him.

"Ah...are you the owner of this locket?" casta said as she took the pendant from inside her bag.

"I don't have that kind of thing."

"Hmm..why has something mysterious happened lately" asked Ayla while holding her chin.

"I think this kind of information can't be used to find out who did it, but certainly around here there is someone dangerous" Casta explained.

"Hmm. We seem to have to report this matter to the Colonel as well."

"Yes, who knows if he has a theory on the subject."

After a long chat, they said goodbye to return to the headquarters.

"Doctor, can we wear these clothes for a while?" ask Linda.

"No problem, then make sure you return it," explained Dr. Kurdan.

"Thank you very much" Linda replied smilingly.

"Well doctor, we'll say goodbye."

"Yes, be careful on the road, give my regards to the Colonel."

"Hmm.." nodded Casta.

They get out of the hospital, while outside Zaki, Linda and Yuichi breathe fresh air and Linda runs around, after a few days of being in the hospital and stepping outside for the first time in an age they did not know it.

Casta and Ayla who saw them acting a little strange could only smile.

"Oh yes Casta, you said you wanted to tell me about this place... ah no, I mean this era when we had gathered right?" said Zaki.

"Hmm. alright, I'll explain it as we walk into Colonel Mervis' office not far from here" Casta replied.

They walked to Colonel Mervis' office in Bergorm to retrieve the car and the book the Colonel had requested, casta explains little he knows about the era they now occupy.

"First, we are now in a country called Xenozia, and this place is called the city of Bergorm, do you see the flag that flutters there?.. That is the flag of this country," Casta explained as he pointed to one of the flags flying over one of the government buildings.

"Why is it black at the top and bottom and red in the middle and has an image.hmm," yuichi said while paying attention to the shape of the flag he saw.

"Well, if it's not wrong, it means blackness, red is courage, the image of the moon and stars means that it gives light and illuminates from the darkness" Ayla tried to explain.

"If it's a country does that mean we're at war?" ask Zaki curiously.

"Yes, we are at war with the Kuvernt state located to the north" Casta explained.

"Hee.. are we at war?" ask Linda in shock.

"Then why are you here so casually?" ask Zaki.

"Because not all soldiers descend into battle, and only the chosen ones can be in front-line combat" Casta explained again.

"So we only guard the border or the city to secure the residents if there are enemies who come here" Ayla said with a smile.

When they were telling me about the current era, suddenly there was a commotion from one of the cafes, then they approached the cafe to check it out, after being seen it turns out that there is a man who is drunk is pointing a sharp weapon at the cafe cashier.

Instantly Casta approached the man to negotiate, but the man turned around and attacked Casta, casta immediately dodged the man's attack and slammed and locked him with the martial technique he had learned in training.

Other soldiers who were patrolling also got reports from residents then came to the cafe and arrested the drunk man.

"Thank you. uh. " said one of the soldiers.

Casta who realized that the soldier was confused then told his name.

 "Casta.. I'm Casta...."

"Thank you Casta for helping to take down these criminals" the soldier said.

Then suddenly one of the other soldiers who heard the name approached them.

"Casta?.. are you Casta Hountfers?" ask the other soldiers.

"Yes, you're right" replied Casta.

Then suddenly the soldier immediately saluted, and followed by the first soldier asked.

"I'm sorry I don't recognize you in this type of clothing" the soldier said.

"Ah. It's okay."

Then the soldiers went away and took the criminal to the nearest post.

"Well, it's done, let's continue our journey" explained Casta.

They returned to their main destination, and they continued walking towards the Colonel's office.

On the way like before they chatted and asked.

"You all right, Casta?" linda was worried about herself.

"Ah.. hmm. I'm fine."

"So you were great, I wish I could be like you" Linda praised Casta.

"Ah.. ahaha.thank you for Linda's praise, but I'm sure you can do it too" she smiled as she pinched her cheek lightly.

"Nah Casta.." cut off Zaki.

"Hmm?" Casta looked towards Zaki.

"What's your rank now?"

"Neepan one."

"If Ayla?"

"I'm the same, too" she explained with a smile and raised her index finger and stuck it on her cheek.

"Hmmm...."

"Why?" ask Casta wonder.

"Ah...no, your fighting style was already like a Gorilla."

"Haaah?.. What do you mean..." while approaching towards Zaki and holding his collar while with a sharp look and an annoyed tone.

"Well, Zaki, Linda, Yuichi, too, why don't you just be soldiers?" ayla encouraged them.

"Huhuh?"

"Ah.. I want," said Linda spirit and her eyes like a bright light.

"If Linda I'm sure I can, but if you two I'm not sure" Casta said in a mocking tone.

"Hey... Why am I hated?" yuichi replied pointing towards Casta in an annoyed tone.

"Because you two are stupid," Casta replied while referring to Yuichi.

"After all, you guys, we're in a public place, don't make me shy." said Ayla while covering her face with both hands.

"Cih.. you two are indeed annoying," while folding his hands in front of his chest Casta threw away the faces of Zaki and Yuichi.

"More dong!" zaki and Yuichi shouted along with an annoyed tone.

"Haha?" reply Casta with pose prepare to fight.

Ayla and Linda could only laugh in annoyance at their behavior.

"Casta.. let's continue the journey," asked Ayla who had been following her annoyed.

"Hmph..well, serving them will be endless."

They continued walking, Zaki, Linda and Yuichi while looking around while paying attention to every corner and the citizens in the city.

Not long after, they arrived in front of a slightly large gate and guarded by several soldiers.

Casta spoke to the guards to inform him of his arrival and asked for permission to enter, they were allowed to enter.

Slowly the gate began to open, and it looks a slightly large building with white concrete pillars supporting the rectangular roof, it also looks a fairly large park with a flag pole on the edge of the park.

"Well, that's huge." Linda said in awe.

"Haha...this is still not how much, the headquarters is even much bigger and good than this," Casta explained with a smile.

"Well..really?" with shining eyes Linda did not stop being amazed by the size of the building.

They walked with the garden to their left, and headed for the main door to enter the room, and took what they were looking for.
