The Emperor returned to his home with Cantika. This house looks quiet and dark because it is near dawn. He went straight to Alisa's room.
The door opened slowly. His son slept well by hugging a picture frame. The Emperor approached and sat down next to him. Then take that picture frame.
There are wet stains that are still on the pillow with Alisa's favorite cartoon. The Emperor's chest ached for an instant.
There is a photo of her with Alisa during Alisa's fourth birthday. Emperor sighs. She even forgot to miss her son's birthday last Sunday.
A sense of regret enveloped his chest. This child should not be in the circle of problems, but not yet anything he has become a victim.
The Emperor kissed Alisa's forehead gently. The boy opened his eyes wide.
"Dad home?" call Alisa surprised. He was about to wake up but was prevented by the Emperor. The man placed their photo on the nightstand, then lay down next to his daughter.
Alisa went into the Emperor's arms. "I miss Dad," he looked at the Emperor inside who exuded sadness.
"Dad misses you too" the Emperor hugged Alisa back.
"Let's go to sleep again, it's still very early for you to wake up."
"I'm afraid to go to sleep again. Scared that I'd wake up later, see you're not here anymore."
"Father will accompany you to sleep until morning."
"Daddy promise?"
"Dad promise."
"That means it's not a dream" said plainly Alisa.
The emperor tidied up the strands of hair that covered Alisa's pretty face.
"Of course not. I'm really here to keep you company."
"That means you're not leaving again, always with me forever?" alisa said happily.
"We'll talk about this again tomorrow. I'm sleepy, I want to go to bed."
Alisa speechless. He went even deeper into the Emperor's chest.
"I love you, Dad, and I'm afraid you're going to leave me alone."
"Dad will keep you company until you grow up, baby. Don't think weird."
They closed their eyes. When Alisa falls asleep again, the Emperor sends Betty a message. After that, he closed his eyes again.
In the morning, Cantika opens the door to Alisa's room to wake her up. How surprised he was, when he saw the Emperor was there. He looked at the father and son and smiled.
At the same time, Alisa woke up. Cantika gave a sign that Alisa was silent and woke up slowly.
Alisa then rose assisted by Cantika. Cantika immediately brought Alisa out.
"We're gonna take a bath in Mom's room just so your dad won't be distracted."
"Okey, Mom. But why?"
"Your father is so tired that he needs a lot of rest."
"Are you going home forever, Mom?" ask Alisa.
"depends on you. If you follow everything I say, your father will always come home."
"Then I'll follow everything you say."
They smile happily. Alisa was bathed by her mother.
After Alisa looks ready with her uniform. He ran to his room to see his father. His steps came to a halt when he saw the Emperor come out of his room.
"Dad you up?" he said while approaching. Cantika was behind Alisa with a bright looking face.
The Emperor smiled at Alisa, not wanting to stare at his wife. Just rubbed his son's head without saying anything. Walk to the room. Passing Cantika, like not seeing its existence instead.
Cantika could only smile sadly. "I'll make you some coffee" he exclaimed as the Emperor walked into his own private room.
The emperor did not answer.
"Mom, just calm down. We're gonna make Dad change."
An hour later they were at the dinner table. "Dad knows no, if next Sunday there will be a celebration at my school. There will be a race between the child and his parents. All were asked to come along, not least Father and Mother."
"It looks like Dad can't come, honey," the Cantika cut looked towards the Emperor who was still silent.
"Couldn't you?"
"Well!" The Emperor was stunned from his daydream. "What?"
"Dad, I'm starting again.I said one more week there will be a school anniversary event and said the teacher will have a race. I have to go because all my mom and dad are going to the race. I don't want to lose there anyway."
"Of course you will win" said the Emperor.
"But the new boy arrogantly said that he would defeat me."
"Whose new son?"
"Name is ugly, not cool. Lana," said Alisa.
"Where is a girl?"
"No, he's a bad boy. I don't like."
"Boy?" The Emperor raised one eyebrow while eating the cereal porridge that was in front of him.
"Maulana's name is Dad, only they call him Lana. I don't like her" Alisa said, holding her back.
Emperor chokes. Cantika gave him tissue and drinking water.
Emperors. "Nobody will be able to defeat you, let alone that new kid. Dad's gonna come in there and we're gonna fight him."
"I'll take Alisa to her school. So you can go to the office quickly."
"What if I come with you" Cantika said taking the opportunity.
"Go to your office and I'm different. I have to see Rose anyway, so I'm in a hurry. Can't take you to the office" said the Emperor coldly.
Cantika let out a long breath. He hated the Emperor saying that name. However, he could not start a fight again after the Emperor returned home. He hopes this is a new wind of change and can make their relationship improve.
"Sir," call Betty who just walked into the dining room.
Cantika raised both of her eyebrows upwards. Surprised to see the arrival of the Emperor's secretary who came in the morning. What business is he coming for?
Cantika saw the paper bag in the woman's hand.
Emperor resurgently.
"Sorry, yesterday I forgot your birthday. But I bought you a present."
The emperor gave the paper bag the size of the jumbo to Alisa. Then kissed his son.
"It's okay Dad," replied Alisa, seeing what gift her father had brought for her.
It turned out that it was an updated version of the Barbie doll and it was original.
"Thank you Dad, I love the gift." Alisa kissed the Emperor's cheek.
Cantika looked deeply moved towards the father and the child.
On the way, Alisa told a long story about her school.
"Dad I want to tell a story," said Alisa spirit.
"I was very sad when no one remembered my birthday yesterday" Alisa said with a sullen face.
"Only Grandma and Grandpa remember. You look busy, too."
"Sorry, dear."
"It's okay because I'm busy abroad" Alisa said.
The Emperor looked at Alisa with regret. If he could turn back the clock, he wouldn't want to disappoint his daughter on her birthday. While the reason for his departure, only made Cantika so that Alisa is not sad.
"Maulana's the same birthday as me, Dad. He gave me the cake. No, but the Tantenya who gave the cake and candles with the number 5 for me to blow. She's beautiful, just like Mom. The pretty aunt said she worked at Dad's place."
The emperor coughed at hearing that. Is this all a coincidence again? Seems not.
