Welcoming the Beloved Princess

Jakarta, 1996

At one of the hospitals in Jakarta, the young couple was preparing to welcome their first baby. As if there was no panic because the couple was seen putting on a happy face. Suggestions are instilled in yourself that the birth of a baby will bring happiness. Therefore, both seem to enjoy the period before labor to be done by cesarean method. 

Actually labor by cutting the abdomen is said to have been done since the late Bronze age. However, the new Caesar method was developed by the Roman Age. In Indonesia, this type of operation has been carried out since the 1980s. So that time, the young couple for some special reason chose to give birth with the method of C-Section or Caesarean section. 

"No bugup?" ask the husband named Tendean to his wife. 

The woman who was lying on the bed with the infusion hose in her hand shook her head. "No, just this infusion needle hurts in my hand" he replied. 

"Prophey well, soon the Doctor will come and soon, we will welcome our little baby" Tendean told his wife, Desy. 

Desy smiled and nodded her head. "Yes, to be able to meet our little princess, I will do everything. Later, give Anaya's name to our daughter Mas Ean, "his message to the husband. 

"Annaya?" tanya Tendean who is familiarly called Ean by his wife. 

"Yes, give the name Anaya which means blessing from God. Just like a baby who is a blessing from God to both of us" Desy replied. 

Tendean thought of something. The name Anaya means a gift from God. If that means so, Tendean feels that it is certain that the name has a beautiful meaning. Just as his wife said that children are actually a gift from God for married couples who will eventually level up to become parents. 

"Well, Yang .. I'll name our baby, Anaya. Then, I will call him Aya, as my dear call for him," Tendean replied by holding the wife's hand. 

There, Desy smiled. "Over your life, Anaya will be a blessing to you. He will teach you many things, Mas" replied Desy. 

"Hmm, why is that?" ask the husband. 

"Yes, when we are parents, it is not really us who grow up to develop children. However, children also grow us, raise us. The presence of a child that changes the lives of both parents and also teaches us new things in life" Desy replied. 

What Desy said was completely true. Because, indeed the child once he is born, he will change both parents. Make a married couple go up to the class to become parents, create a new status and role in the household, and many stories will be woven into the life of the household with the baby. 

"Yes, of course ... Anaya will be both a blessing and an invaluable treasure for us" Tendean replied. 

Until finally the time of delivery arrived. It appears there are three Doctors who entered the Desy room namely the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, and also the Obstetrician. These three Doctors will carry out their roles and at the same time help during the course of labor. 

"We're going to do anesthesia, Doctor Tendean?" ask the Anesthesiologist there. 

"Alright, please," replied Tendean. 

Then begin epidural anesthesia a type of anesthetic injected in the spine, giving the effect of numbness in the abdomen to his legs. After that the green cloth began to be spread over Desy's stomach. 

"We're gonna start the operation, okay?" said Obstetrician. 

However, before the operation resumed, the nurse again measured the patient's blood pressure, apparently the patient experienced high blood pressure. For that anesthetic which was originally only part of the stomach was converted into total anesthesia. 

After that, the Surgeon began to clean the area of Desy's stomach and make vertical incisions ranging from below the navel to the bone-to-maluan. Then the Surgeon seemed to open layer after layer in Desy's stomach. Yes, there are incisions one by one in each layer of skin. 

Once the abdominal cavity is open, a horizontal incision is made under the uterus. Until slowly the part of the uterus was open, it was clear that a baby was still wrapped in a membrane, complete with placenta and amniotic fluid. Then, the Obstetrician took the part and broke the water outside. I heard the baby sound there. 

Oek ... Oek ... Oec .... 

The cry of the baby immediately made Tendean shed his tears. Right, hearing the baby's first cry alone seems to have changed the life of a Tendean. If only, his wife was only partially drugged, certainly his wife also shed tears listening to the first cry of the baby. 

Unfortunately, Desy was unconscious under the influence of an anesthetic injected into her spine. In his heart, Tendean muttered something. "Look dear, our little angel has been born in the world. It's our two hearts that you say are God's blessings to both of us."

"Congratulations Doctor Tendean, such as the results of the examination with USG well, the baby is a girl," said Obstetrician by lifting the baby's body. 

The fragile body, the cries that echoed filled the entire room until there was still blood in the nose and mouth. 

The first encounter with his little angel really made Tendean fall in love. So happy and the feeling of haru that surrounds. Babies born like white paper, clean, and flawless like Tabula Rasa theory can feel Tendean now. 

Until the little baby was cleaned immediately, a few moments later the umbilical cord was cut from the placenta there. However, at about the same time there was bleeding there. The emergency sign sounded. 

"The patient is in critical condition" a doctor said. 

All feelings of happiness, haru, and falling in love in an instant turn into a sense of worry, panic, as well as worry. Tendean shed his tears, with his hand holding his wife's hand there. Even Tendean whispered words to his wife in an unconscious condition. 

"Hold on, Desy, my dear. Our little baby, our little angel is born. The beautiful baby you named Anaya was born. You have to fight and survive, Desy. He will call you Mother, just as you have wanted all along."

At the limit of worry and worry, only words and prayers could Tendean whisper in Desy's ear. Hope a miracle will come and give new hope to Desy. I hope this critical period will pass.
