Chapter 31. "Be careful, Pa."

Agatha and Bima were still standing on the spot watching Gerald who was still holding Gilang while crying.

Gerald stood up and ruffled his son's hair. "Papa prays that soon may he heal your wounds and may receive Papa as your biological father. Papa benar2 doesn't know if you're present in your mother's womb."

"That's because Papa never wanted to know Mom's situation after being imprisoned. Even though I was still Papa's wife when he just went to prison" said Gilang.

"Papa admitted wrong. All because of Papa's disappointment."

"Related because Papa thinks it was Mom who pushed Papa's lover. Only Lover! And the imprisonment of a legitimate wife. More trusting lover than wife?" ask Gilang.

Agatha approached her son. Don't want people to know about their family problems. Which will make the good name of his son also carried away.

"Darling, that's it, son. This is not the right place to say all that. Look at! People are watching you" Agatha said.

He nodded his head in agreement. He stepped away from Gerald. Just as Gerald was about to step foot, a voice spoke his name.

"Brother Gerald," said someone.

All eyes were on him and looking at Gerald. Two police officers approached Gerrad.

"I! What's up, sir?" ask Gerald.

"Sorry, we have to take you to the police station" said one of them.

"What's up, sir? What am I wrong?" ask Gerald again.

"We would like to ask the Father for information, on the words of Ms. Merlin. He said that the father reported Bu Agatha. So you want explanation and responsibility from the Father!"

"But I reported Agatha because Merlin lied to me by saying that Agatha pushed her!"

"The father can give a statement in the office later. We beg for cooperation."

Bima, Agatha and Gilang looked at it with shocked faces. He did not expect Gerald to be arrested on his mother's case.

"May I have a minute's permission, sir? Hugged my son."

"Please, Sir!" said one of the police.

Gerald walked up to Gilang who was standing beside Bima. He knelt down to equalize his height with Gilang. Gerald held both shoulders of his son Gilang.

"I'm sorry Papa couldn't be like your friends, but Papa promised to give you the best you could. Everyone has a past, son. Don't worry about my past. Look at how Papa is now because no man is perfect. The man who truly loves you is a Papa, who will not allow himself to be hurt by others including being hurt by myself. A Papa's love will always be hidden in his heart and his smile. You have to be strong because you're the one who's gonna keep your mom from the bad guys."

Gerald hugged Gilang. His tears spilled down his cheeks and fell onto Gilang's shoulders. The boy returned his Papa's embrace.

After being satisfied hugging Gilang, the man stood up from his knees. Hugged Gilang again and kissed the head of his son.

"Stay training, be a proud child for your mother. Again Papa said, Papa Darling You. Although all these regrets may be too late, but I still apologize to you. Forgive Papa, Son!"

Gerald let go of his embrace and walked over to Agatha. "Agatha, I know you will definitely take good care of Gilang. I'm sure you're Gilang's best mother. However, I still leave Gilang to you. Thank you for raising our son so well."

Gerald walked out of the building toward the prisoner's car. When Gerald was about to get in the car, Gilang shouted.

"Be careful, Pa. Take care," shouted Gilang.

Gerald turned his body and ran back towards Gilang. Hugged his son. Her tears are back.

"Thank you, dear." That's all Gerald said and went back to the prisoner's car. Gerald waved his hand from inside the car.
