Chapter 26. Peter's Company Starts to Shake

Chapter 26

Daniel's heart skipped a beat even as he subconsciously held his breath so that his whereabouts were unknown to Damian. The closer they are the man prepares himself in case of a fight later.

Damian and Arthur glanced at each other for a moment and nodded. They realized that something was wrong in the room at this time. Both of them are holding a gun and are alert to the circumstances around them.

"What are you guys doing here?" 

Suddenly the butler opened the door of the study and saw his two sons holding a gun. Of course this makes him also have to be vigilant, not to be shot by Damian or Arthur.

Damian took it down and kept his gun in one of the clothes. Arthur did the same.

"Why did you come in here? What's the need?" damian asked while staring cynically.

"I got a call from Mr. Leon and was told to pick up some of the files left behind" replied the butler, holding his hand and pointing to the sideboard.

Daniel could breathe for a moment. He saw Damian and Arthur watching the movements of the butler who picked up a map. 

"Oh, yes. How did you two get in here? While the key to this room was held by Mr. Leon and another one was on me," asked the butler with a probing look at the two people in front of him.

Damian and Arthur were certainly nervous and did not expect the arrival of the butler into this room. They get the keys to this workspace from duplicate results, Damian took the keys owned by Jimmy Li secretly.

"It looks like you forgot to lock the door. We just came in here to talk about something important. I forgot that big brother had gone to the office" Damian replied casually covering up his nervousness.

The butler actually did not believe it just like that. It was clear that the two men were holding pistols, definitely planning something. However, he pretended that he did not know what they were doing in the room, then asked the two to come out, then the door was locked from the outside.

Daniel came out of hiding. Then, he walked towards the file storage rack. His eyes were fixed on a file that had been placed on the table by Arthur. Then, the man opened and read the contents of the file.

"What's? So Damian and Arthur aren't the biological children of Mr. Jimmy Li!" Daniel's eyes widened after learning of this secret.

Now Daniel understands why the Li family's wealth was dropped to Sandra. This was because Sandra was a legitimate heir of the Li family.

"It is fitting that they join the Black Eyes group and harm Li's company by destroying the factory" Daniel murmured.

'Don't either of them know the truth and kill Mr Jimmy?' daniel's inner self while putting that important file into his pocket.

After almost two hours of meeting, they finally signed a counter cooperation. They were determined that the company would become the marketing ruler of the country.

"Nathan, please find out about this," Daniel said, handing over a piece of paper bearing the name of a hospital. 

"This ...." Nathan furrowed his brows.

Daniel orders Nathan to return to the cctv tape in the nursery where Mr. Jimmy Li was treated. He was convinced that something had happened that resulted in his master's death.

Peter threw a report to his assistant. He was angry that some of his businesses were slumping in revenue compared to the previous month. For two months, their company has been in decline.

"How did this happen?" peter asked in anger.

"Sorry, Sir. It seems that it is not only our company that has suffered losses during these two months. It seems to be the effect of the global economic crisis" the assistant replied.

Peter doesn't care about the state of the world economy. For him everyone who works for him should be able to provide benefits. He has been in the business world since he was young and has never suffered a loss. However, now two months in a row he experienced this.

"Investigate if anyone dares to cheat on me. Then just finish them off as well as the company!" peter's orders.

"Good, Master!"

An old man who had been sitting on the sofa had finally chuckled. He saw his business partner in a state of annoyance and disappointment.

"I told you, don't underestimate the new guy. He is good at managing his company. The man, Daniel Hao, is a very attractive man and has a great leadership spirit. "Who is Daniel Hao? I have to find out more about him" Peter murmured.
