Chapter 57. Daniel Loses Something Important

Chapter 57

Daniel and Sandra went back to the apartment. The woman did not want to let go of her husband. He still felt jealous, especially when he heard that Nathalie would also be invited to cooperate with him. Currently Dina is in a weakened state due to being pregnant in the first trimester. Every morning, you keep vomiting and you can stop after noon.

Daniel and Sandra looked at each other. Sandra was happy because her husband still cared so much for her. However, he did not like it if there were strangers wandering around where he lived.

"Thank you for always worrying about me, but I don't want—"

Daniel silenced his wife's mouth by kissing her. He was currently unwilling to argue with Sandra. His brain must work hard so that everything he has planned can run properly as he wants.

Sandra was lulled with a kiss given by Daniel. He also replied that he did not lose heat. They stop until the oxygen supply in the lungs is exhausted.

During this time Sandra felt she was the one who always received kindness from Daniel while she could not give a lot of good for her husband. Women often trouble the man with his friends.

"I'll be monitoring some of your subsidiaries. I'll work in the apartment. How's it?" sandra asked, insisting that she wanted to help.

Daniel just opened his mouth immediately closed by Sandra's lentic finger. The woman shook her head and said, "Can't ban it. I want to fight with my husband. It was not that the good wife was always beside her husband and providing support for him. So, let me be the first one who will always support you."

A big smile adorned Daniel's face. How happy he is to have a wife like Sandra. He nodded with both hands cupping his wife's face.

"But don't force yourself if you're tired. I want you to focus on our future son. Moreover, he was the successor to the Li family. If anything happens to him, then papa Leon can kill me" Daniel said with a small laugh.

There were two cars of Marco's men who accompanied the journey of Daniel and Sandra. Both cars were positioned in front of and behind vehicles carrying their masters.

When at the crossroads of the road suddenly there are cars driving from the left direction, where the lights in that section are colored they, indicating that they must stop. However, the four-wheeled vehicle was even directly hit by gas intending to crash into the car driven by Daniel and Sandra. Luckily the person who is the driver is aware of it. He also immediately hit the gas so that he could survive the collision. It's just that Sandra screams loudly because suddenly the vehicle immediately speeds up and suddenly brakes suddenly when it will collide with the vehicle in front of her.

"What's going on?" daniel asked while hugging Sandra, as she staggered forward and her head almost hit the chair in front.

There was a loud sound like an object hit something and then a loud explosion was heard and followed by black smoke soaring high. Daniel and Sandra looked back. It turned out that there was a burning car near the roadblock.

"What exactly is going on?" sandra asked still watching the situation out there.

'What's wrong with me? Why did my instincts become dull like this? This isn't the first time I've been unaware of the danger lurking in me? Why did this happen?' inner Daniel. The man realized that something was wrong had happened to his body.

People were moving away from the source of the explosion. There were several of them who were seen contacting the police and the fire department. There were also those who called the ambulance because there was someone in the burning car.

"How are you and your lady?" a voice heard someone calling the driver.

"They're fine. We are on the road right now" replied the driver.

"You better go back on that journey. Too long on the streets even make it easier for the enemy to give an attack. Right now they're after Miss Sandra" said the person across the street.

"Okay Mr. Marco. I'll make it to the apartment as soon as possible" the driver replied.

Marco's men's cars guarding the rear are on high alert. Similar events could happen again. The enemy would definitely do everything possible to destroy his group.

Sandra raised her head in Daniel's chest. She felt her husband's heartbeat like this in the crucial moment. Usually in times of danger, the man's heartbeat does not rumble this way, but it beats normally. It always looks calm when facing its enemies.

"What's wrong? Are there any parts of the body that hurt?" ask Sandra who's worried about Daniel.

The man shook his head. It's not his body that hurts. However, she was lamenting her being weak like this. For people involved in the dark world the sharpness of instinct is very important. If this is not in them, then destruction or defeat will envelop them.
