Rise Again As A Rich Man
Rise 16 - Chocolate

Silent. Not a word came from each other's lips. There was only the clinking sound of the fork and knife adorning the dining table where they enjoyed their breakfast moment with him.

Isaac fell silent in the chair near Tasya. Donna, George and Gerald sat opposite him.

Since then they just kept quiet and obeyed the words of grandma. Does that mean you're afraid of grandma?

But it's good, because it can keep me here. Isaac let out a small grin. Without realizing it, George had been staring at him.

"Why are you smiling?! Is something funny?" mukas George who managed to break the silence that has since enveloped their togetherness.

Isaac flinched and spontaneously turned his head towards the boy. The others glanced at George at a glance then looked at Isaac whom he was staring at.

"What's? I'm not smiling" Isaac said.

"lik! Obviously I saw you smiling earlier!" reply with a tinge.

"I'm just happy that mom and dad are here. That's all! Why why anyway? Can't I smile?" Isaac replied with a sewot tone that managed to make a crushing blow.

George speechless. This was the first time Isaac had ever replied to such a remark.

Whahuh? He dared to reply to me? He...he really is at will! Sucks. Grandpa and grandma prefer him to me, he's so pretentious!

Justjust look. I'll make the calculations for you later!

George clenched his hands tightly, his eyes staring intently at Isaac.

But the boy who became his sister was as if he did not care about her piercing gaze.

"Oh yeah, grandma. Where is grandpa? Why not eat with us? It would be nice if Grandpa was also here and eating with us. It would be more complete" asked Isaac.

"Grandfather is in the workspace. There's work that you have to finish this morning, so you can't eat with us" Tasya replied.

"But grandpa had breakfast, right?"

"Of course, honey. You're very considerate of your grandfather, yes." Tasya rubbed the tops of her grandson's head full of tenderness with a smile. He did not expect that his youngest grandson would be able to behave so sweetly.

"Did papa work late again?" ask Gerald to Tasya.

"No. Your father went to bed last night after driving Isaac to his room. He said he wanted to go to bed so he could wake up early and invite him to play. But this morning, when he was going to meet Isaac in the room, there was a call coming in from Lim's secretary."

Isaac fell silent. He remembered something he had almost forgotten.

Because I was too afraid that my mom and dad would take me home, I forgot the plan I had made.

Today. After breakfast, I'll go and see grandfather to ask what's bothering me.

I really wonder why Grandpa hates George so much? When compared to me, he should be more fond of his first grandchild than his second grandchild.

But why is this the opposite?

Isaac frowned. He did not understand why Gerson could be more fond of him than George when the child was his first grandchild.

I remember my grandparents and grandfather. Isaac was bowed. Somehow he remembered his grandparents when he was still alive as Hendry Hamilton.

...*...

Clap up!

"Grandfather!" call slowly.

Gerson switched from the computer screen in front of him. He lowered the glasses he was wearing and moved with a smile.

"Isaac, grandfather's grandson!" The man lifted up and hugged his body so aggressively. "You're awake already. Have you had breakfast?"

Isaac could only nod slowly in response. His body pecked as Gerson suddenly hugged him just like that. Isaac was not used to this kind of treatment.

"Thank God you had breakfast. Now, how about you sit down and have a snack?" Gerson sat him on the couch. In front of him there was a tray containing sweet snacks that seemed to have been there since but not touched at all.

"Grandfather's been preparing this for you. While you're eating snacks, Grandpa will do some of Grandpa's work first. You waiting here with grandpa is okay, right? Grandfather promises it won't be long, after that we play together," said Gerson so eagerly that his aura made Isaac a little burdened.

"Alright.." he quietly.

"Good! You're the grandfather's smartest grandson." Gerson rubbed his hair. He then got up and approached his chair again to continue his work that was not fully finished.

Isaac silently looked at all the dishes before him.

I happen to want to eat sweet food. After breakfast it is good to eat sweet food as a dessert.

Because I finished breakfast I immediately left, I could not eat the good food that Grandma had prepared.

But seeing that grandfather had already prepared all of this, it seemed like this was all delicious as well.

Isaac spread his gaze over the table. Look at every dish. His attention was then seized by a food that until now still attached to his memory.

Isaac grabbed a round shaped chocolate. Chocolate used to be one of his favorite foods.

This chocolate…

This is the chocolate I used to love. I forgot that this year, this chocolate is still there.

If only my family hadn't gone broke, maybe I could have eaten this chocolate as much as I used to. In addition, maybe I can also ask papa to help Mr. Alonso to maintain his sweet food business.

Isaac devoured it in one bite. While chewing, he suddenly stopped. Both eyes are round. He had just realized one thing he had forgotten all along.

Waitaminute!

Aye! This was the year that my mom and dad went into bankruptcy that required us to move to Isotown City to start a new life.

In the past, papa and mama were so troubled when we moved there.

I used to be so selfish that I was never aware of the hardships they were going through.

Maybe I could only wish I could go back in time and help fix things. But now, I've done it.

Now I'm in the past, and that means I can change what will happen.

I. will stop papa company from going bankrupt. That way, papa wouldn't need to move to Isotown City and they wouldn't need to experience the same difficulties.

Aye! There's no way I'm going to be quiet while my mom and dad are having a lot of trouble right now.

I have to help them, and make sure things are right!
