Chapter 2 Mizugakure is attacked

Going to other villages to unite the divided clans becomes a great mission for Ryu and his friends. However, before they embark on the journey, they must face an urgent crisis that plagues their own village, Mizugakure.

The moment they returned to their village after meeting with Village Chief Mizuki, they immediately saw signs of chaos. The houses were damaged, the water in the river polluted, and the villagers were in confusion. Something very unusual happened, and it made them worry.

Aiko gripped tightly onto Ryu's arm and said, "What's going on here? Our village is in a state of chaos."

Ryu gazed into the distance, trying to find a clue. "We need to find out what happened. Let's meet Village Chief Mizuki."

They immediately headed for the residence of the Village Chief Mizuki, which was located in the center of the village. Upon arriving there, they see Mizuki talking to a group of anxious villagers. Mizuki notices their arrival and invites them in.

"Chief of Mizuki Village, what's going on here?" ask Takeshi.

Mizuki sighed deeply before replying, "You guys arrived at just the right moment. Our village is in crisis. A few days ago, our water element suddenly started to degenerate. The rivers that drain our water become dry, and our water pools become polluted. We don't know why this happened."

Ryu heard the explanation and said, "It's very strange. We had experienced a similar incident in a hidden pond this morning. Maybe it has something to do with what happens to our water element."

Mizuki nodded and continued, "We believe that our water element is being attacked by an evil force. We have tried to protect the village, but the more days, the situation gets worse."

Aiko asked, "Is there a clue we can follow?"

Mizuki replied, "We found strange traces by the river. They headed towards the forest north of the village. But, we don't have enough ninjas to investigate further."

Ryu and his friends exchanged glances, and they knew what to do. They will investigate the tracks and try to find who or what is responsible for the crisis.

Before leaving, Mizuki gave them a bag with supplies and drinking water. "You are our hope, Ryu and friends. We hope you can unravel this mystery and save our water element."

They thanked him and then began a journey towards the forest north of the village. The forest was full of lush trees and rarely traveled paths. The rumbling sounds of flowing water were getting more and more eased, and they knew that they were approaching the source of the matter.

After a few hours of walking, they finally arrived at a strange place. In the middle of the forest, there was a huge basin of water that glittered with a bright blue color. This was the source of their village's water element. However, in the middle of the basin was something strange.

On the edge of the water basin, they saw several large stones with strange markings carved on its surface. Ryu approached the stones and began to study the signs. "This looks like the ancient symbols used in the ancient jutsu of the water element."

Aiko approached the stones as well. "Can this be the cause of our water element problem?"

As they tried to decipher the meaning of the signs, they felt that there was something strange around them. The forest was silent and the air was tense. Suddenly, the ground under their feet shook, and three strange creatures appeared from within the ground. They had human-like bodies, but their skin was light blue, and their eyes shone with an intense blue color.

One of the creatures said, "You have found us, but you will never stop what we have started."

The light blue creatures quickly moved closer to Ryu and his companions. They stood upright, eyes shining with evil intent, and they were clearly a threat to the water element of Mizugakure village.

Ryu felt tense but did not hesitate. He is a ninja who has trained hard to control the water element, and he knows that this is the right time to test his abilities.

Ryu began to utter ancient words that echoed within the forest. "Mizu no toshitsu!" Simultaneously, the water from the huge basin began to revolve around his body, forming a huge whirlpool. Ryu takes out his flagship Jutsu, which he names "Water Whirlpool Jutsu."

The whirlpool began to spin faster, and quickly enlarged. Meanwhile, Aiko, Takeshi, Yumi, and Kenji prepare to fight in support of Ryu.

The light blue creature unleashed its first attack, emitting a powerful surge of blue energy from their hands. Ryu quickly reacted, directing his whirlpool to protect his friends from the attack. Those energy waves collided with the whirlpool, creating an explosion that shook the forest.

Takeshi clenched his hands and quickly raised the earth wall to provide additional protection. Aiko and Kenji combine the elements of fire and their land to create a hail of embers that throws their enemies backwards. Yumi uses wood elements to create a green barrier that protects them from enemy attacks.

When the first attack is broken, Ryu prepares to launch a counterattack. He directed his whirlpool towards those light blue creatures, creating a fierce stream of water that engulfed their enemies. However, the creatures quickly dodged the attack by leaping upwards and moving swiftly like lightning.

One of them, who seemed to be the leader, spoke in a sharp tone. "You think only by controlling the water element can you defeat us? You guys are so naive!"

The light blue creatures then prepared to launch a simultaneous attack. They unleashed a powerful blue energy attack, which rained down on Ryu and his companions. However, quickly, Ryu and his friends move in to dodge the attack.

Aiko leapt nimbly into the air and quickly let out a series of fireballs that shot towards their enemies. Takeshi uses the land to create a fast path, allowing his friends to chase after the enemy. Yumi manipulates her wood element to embrace those enemies in the clutches of the giant trees she creates. Kenji shot towards the enemy at lightning speed, showering them with fire attacks.

The fight is heating up, and the light blue creatures are showing incredible skill and speed. Ryu continued to concentrate his energy on the Whirlpool Jutsu, trying to create an opportunity for a counterattack.

As the whirlpool reached its maximum level, Ryu unleashed a huge water attack that hit one of the enemies and threw it behind. However, the others quickly approached Ryu with surprising speed and tried to attack him from behind.

But before they can reach Ryu, Takeshi jumps between them, creating an earth wall that protects Ryu. Later, Aiko and Kenji launch a combination fire-attack that slows down those enemies.

Ryu, who now had the chance, re-centered his energy on the Whirlpool Jutsu. Suddenly, the whirlpool grew and engulfed their enemies with an extremely powerful force. The water waves pushed the enemies backwards, plunging them into the water and weakening their attacks.

The light blue creatures gave up and lost. They fled back into the ground, leaving the village of Mizugakure safe. Ryu and his friends breathe a sigh of relief, yet they know that this battle is only the beginning of their adventure.

They returned to the village and informed Village Chief Mizuki about the outcome of the battle. Mizuki smiled and thanked them. "You are our hope, and you have shown incredible courage and ability. However, bigger challenges may be waiting ahead. You must continue your journey to save the world of ninjas."

Ryu and his friends prepare to continue on their journey, but this time they have a clearer clue as to what they're up against. They know that their adventure has been going on for a while, and they must unravel the mystery behind the attack on the water element and restore the balance of the ninja world.
