“Honey?”
Philip approached. “You all right?” To be honest, Philip was more worried about Flores mentally than himself. Lately, things have continued to weigh on Flores.
"Why is he so kind and patient?" batik Flores looks at Philip's arrival. "Where is this angel from heaven?"
Flores wondered, what exactly was Philip's heart made of? Flores continued to make mistakes, but Philip ignored those mistakes many times. The smile on his lips and the way the man looked at Flores was always the same - warm and loving -— without ever bothering about what had happened.
“I'm sorry, Philip.” Flores rubbed his face in frustration. “I didn't expect Elisha would say that in front of you.”
A smile on Philip's lips. “Why should you apologize to me?” ask Philip. “You did nothing wrong.”
“Elisa must have hurt your heart,” replied Flores. “I know she's just a little girl who was expressing her heart and joy this morning, but I think it's overrated.”
Philip rubbed his wife's cheek. “None of you has hurt my heart, Flores.”
Flores doesn't want to believe it. From the time they were married to this day, Philip was never open to his feelings. He kept hiding it behind that smile.
“Philip?”
“Elisa was scared because you snapped at her earlier,” Philip said. He chimed again. “Come to him and apologize to him. I'll take her to school after that.”
Flores was still fretting for no apparent reason. His eyes could not calm down for a second.
“I'll go to the workshop for a while, then go home to rest.” Philip added.
Suddenly he pinched his wife's cheek. “Today I will obey the word boss mom,” kekeh Philip try to cheer Flores.
Philip moved from his place. He was about to come out of the kitchen, accompanying Elisha again for breakfast.
“Honestly I'm still curious.” Flores suddenly spoke. He made Philip's footsteps stop.
Philip's looking. Flores. “About what?”
“What happened to you yesterday?” ask Flores. Slowly she approached her husband. “Not usually you ignore my calls.”
Philip remained silent. Yesterday was a new experience for him. All this time her life was fine, before she met Matrias Ragrigo and Delcy.
“I fell off the stairs and fainted.” Philip repeated his explanation. “My phone also fell and was lost,” added Philip. Just now is a new lie.
Philip is reluctant to lie to his family, but he is not ready to tell anything about the bad events that have happened to him. Black Joe is quite mysterious and dangerous if Philip has to involve Flores and Elisha.
“Why don't you be honest with me, Honey?” Flores doesn't give up. “I won't get mad if you fight and renege on your promise to me.”
Philip looked at Flores without pause.
“You must have a reason to fight, right?” Flores urged him continuously. “Philip I know will never start a fight without cause.”
Flores knows himself? No. gabe. Even Philip himself did not know himself.
“Philip?” Flores grabbed Philip's arm and pleaded. “If this is related to your family, then I will accompany you no matter what the conditions.”
Philip got solemnity from the way Flores looked at him.
“I promise I'll be with you.” Flores begged again. “Please be honest with me.”
Philip let go of Flores' hand. The smile on his lips disappointed Flores. “I really fell off the stairs.”
Flores is starting to fall. He would go crazy constantly arguing with himself about Philip's mysterious family.
“I'll help Elisha get ready. She should leave for school immediately.” Philip changed the subject. “You should also get ready.”
“Elisa also asked me!” Flores prevented Philip's departure.
Philip stood in the doorway, while Flores walked over to him.
“She asks where her grandparents are.” Flores smiled wryly. “Lantas I have to answer how?” ask Flores as if resigned.
Flores threw his face away, his breath in disappointment at Philip who refused to share his wounds and secrets with him.
When Flores looked at him again, Philip said, “Tell that to Elisa if the question weighs on you, Flores.”
Philip finished with his sentence, so he was about to leave Flores.
“What do you think I am, Honey?” Flores is more tidy. “Your wife? You sure?”
Philip tried to persuade. “Come, Flo. We don't need to argue about this.”
“If your parents are dead, then show me the grave.” Flores suddenly challenged. “If there is no time to come together, give me the address.”
“Flores?”
“If your parents are not buried but the ashes are thrown into the sea, then where is the sea?” Flores is getting crazy. He looked at Philip angrily.
Philip was about to reply, but Flores' anger interrupted again.
“I hope you didn't fake your parents' deaths even though you hated them, Philip.”
Flores left Philip at his place. Anger that was too great in his heart, if it continued, would not end well.
“If my parents are bad people ...” Philip's words stopped Flores. The woman looked up and looked at her husband's face.
Flores will not believe, because Philip has the heart of an angel from heaven. If his parents were bad people, then Philip would also be a bad person.
“If they were a group of uncivilized people, would you still accept me as your husband, Flores?” ask Philip.
Flores flockered. She tried to scrutinize the other lies within her husband's eyes.
Philip shook his head. “Seems not.”
Philip moved out of his place, walking through Flores just like that.
“Payman?” Flores suddenly replied. “Mafia?” ask Flores again. When Philip looked at him, Flores smiled wryly. “Or drug city?”
Philip did not answer.
Flores. “Or a bunch of street gangsters?” He put on a slanted smile as a closing of his question.
“Flores?”
“How many people have they killed?” ask Flores again. However, she did not get an immediate response from her husband.
Flores chuckles. “Thousands?”
“Flo, enough,” Philip said at last.
“Or they once killed innocent women, sexually abused her, and ...”
“They are not that low!” Philip suddenly snapped. His voice rose, echoing in the room. This was the first time Philip snapped with his heavy voice.
Philip exhaled, then rubbed his face in frustration. “I'm sorry.” He turned away from Flores. “I'll drop off Elisa.”
“I'll kill with you.” Flores prevented Philip from leaving for the umpteenth time.
Flores. “If it is really you, then I will be the bad guy with you, Honey.”
Surprisingly, Philip's heart was even hurt to hear it.
“Reason?” Flores approached him while shrugging his shoulders. His pair of eyes were glazed over, holding back tears.
The two looked at each other. Philip is not struggling. Flores shows the unexpected that makes him lose everything.
“You think it's only because of Elisa?” Flores added again. He shook his head and smiled wryly. “Because I love you, Philip.”
