“You are a madman.”
Marc laughed at Philip's words.
“You haven't even sipped the tea I bought you, but have already cursed me?” ask Marc. She was so relaxed facing Philip's fierce gaze at her.
Philip clucked violently. “Tell me what's your purpose in helping me?”
“I have no destination.” Marc immediately replied. However, his sentence did not get a good response from Philip.
Marc leaned his body against the sofa. “I'm serious, Philip. I happened to pass earlier.”
Philip couldn't trust Marc. Helped him out of humanity? Marc is not human.
Philip nodded his head. “Then, I'll go. I don't want to sit alone with you.”
Philip moved from his place. Before he left, Philip glanced at Marc as he reached into his jacket pocket. He took out a piece of money and put it on the table. “I pay my tea.”
Marc grinned while playing his lighter. He had just gotten an indifferent attitude, whereas Marc had given up his pride in front of Rares only to bring Philip to talk to him.
Marc knew, begging or at least calling Philip to come and sit down with him was a waste. As long as Philip was sane, he wouldn't want to.
“Flores doesn't seem to tell you.” Marc stopped Philip.
Philip's looking. He stood beside the table, looking down, looking at Marc. “Do not bring-in Flores.”
“If you ask for a fee from the way you helped me earlier, I will pay for it!” Philip said with a ketus.
Marc chuckles. “Pay me with what?” He underestimated Philip. “Your old motor is?”
“Come on, Philip!” Marc waved, telling Philip to sit back. “I don't want to talk about money with you.”
Philip frowned.
“I'm serious!” Marc continued to find distrust from Philip's gaze. “Again, you don't have any money, so what can we talk about that?” chortled.
Once again, Marc had a loophole to denigrate Philip.
It's not all the wrong situation. Philip chose to live this way. His love for Flores and Elisha had made him stupid, ignoring the pride he was supposed to maintain as a man.
“Sit. I'll tell you one secret Flores sure you don't know yet,” Marc said. The man's fingers tapped on the table in front of him, giving Philip a code to sit back.
Philip scolded. He had to take another seat.
“Tell what it is?” ask Philip with a brush. “If you trick me, I swear I'll rip your mouth.”
Marc chuckles. He nodded, taking his phone. He opened the phone screen and showed Philip something.
“Look at yourself,” Marc said as he thrust his phone at Philip. “Although you are poor and stupid, but I am sure the information is understandable to the layman.”
Philip grabbed the phone, hesitating. Every now and then he glanced at the seemingly relaxed Marc with his cup of tea.
“What is this?” Philip's dumbfounded.
“Prices of shares in some Harlow subsidiaries decreased.” Marc shortened. “In short, Flores' Lottie Harlow company will be affected slowly.”
The two exchanged looks.
“Flores will go bankrupt, or the best possibility is that Lottie Harlow company will belong to Rares as well.” Marc smiled at Philip. “Philip, Flores will lose everything. Everything he has.”
Philip put the phone on the table. “How can ...”
“Rares is Flores' oldest sister. He holds the largest stake in his family company.” Marc said with certainty.
Marc added. “If Lottie Holding takes away all of her company's child wealth, who do you think will be harmed?”
“Rares will do everything to teach Flores a lesson for defying her parents, Philip,” Marc whispered again.
Philip threw out a glance, fretting suddenly came and enveloped his heart.
“I will help Flores maintain the company he has built since he was young,”.
Philp. “You can't interfere, Marc.”
“Of course I can,” replied Marc confidently. “I am Marc Cooper Young!” He's proud of himself. “I have a treasure that can help Flores.”
Marc speaks a thousand languages. Inside his head started raging about all the bad possibilities that might have happened to Flores.
Flores loves Lottie Harlow as the embodiment of her big dreams all along. Philip and Elisha only complete the perfection that existed in Flores' life.
“You know Flores well, even more than I know him, Philip,”. “You can certainly imagine how sad Flores would be if he had to lose everything he had for keeping a man like you.”
Philip wiped his face. “I have to talk to Flores.” He moved from his seat. “You don't need to interfere.”
“What do you want to talk to him about?” marc interrupted Philip's departure.
Marc stood up, facing Philip's tall body. “You want to help him?”
“Of course! She's my wife!”
“With what?” Marc interrupted immediately. “Just you don't have.”
Marc managed to beat Philip's resolve back.
“Ah, with love and trust?” Marc chuckles. He's become more annoying than Rares. “You're really stupid, Philip?”
“Flores suffers from living with you.” Marc kept pushing Philip mentally, knocking him down many times. “You think, how far can love sustain your relationship, huh?”
Marc patted his own chest. “I! I'm Marc!” He's proud of himself. “I'm more worthy with Flores!
“Close your mouth!” Philip started to get hooked. The emotions inside him could no longer be controlled. Philip's voice echoed in the room, seizing the focus of those around him.
Philip clutched Marc's collar. “One more time you talk about Flores, I'll rip your mouth off!”
“Looks like you're scared, Philip.” Marc didn't heed Philip's threats, he kept insulting him. “True, you should have been scared and chose to retreat.”
“I won't let go of Flores!” Philip insisted. He tightened the grip on Marc's collar. “I will defend my family!”
Marc pushed Philip's body. “Defend your family?” He laughed again. “With what?”
“I will ...”
“I can buy your family with my money, Philip,” whispered Marc with a sharp look. “I can even buy your price with my money!”
Philip grumbling. “I won't let go of Flores.”
Philip suddenly approached Marc and again grabbed his collar. “As long as I'm still breathing, I'll keep Flores and my household.”
Marc laughed crazy. “Then I will make Flores let go of you, Philip.” He closed the discussion.
Marc pushed Philip's body away from him. “I'll win this time,” concluded Marc.
Marc went out from in front of Philip. Philip, however, could only look at the back of Marc who had gone away from him. His heart was made restless, the question of Flores being reluctant to tell him about this really struck Philip with great disappointment.
“I will stay with Flores, no matter what,” murmured Philip assured himself.
