Kiandra accidentally saw her Personal Assistant chatting with her two brothers. At first Kiandra's expression was upset, turned a little tense, then she chose to ignore them after having noticed for a long time.
"Why?" alexa asked who was sitting right next to her.
Kiandra stroked, while laying her back to the chair.
"No need to ask." said Ethan. "Tonight he was weak, tired, lethargic." he chuckled.
Roy mesem heard the guyonan.
However, Kiandra who is a lot of thoughts is not interested in taking care of the jokes of her friends who try to make her happy.
Rico's talk is still the main topic in his head, as well as his Personal Assistant's attitude which has lately begun to be awkward. But, for the latter, Kiandra still believes in the credibility and integrity of the man about the job, whether it's about anything else.
He breathed a long sigh for the umpteenth time, then drank a beer without alcohol to warm himself.
"Hey, that's your boyfriend, right?" alexa suddenly.
Lazily Kiandra turned to the direction pointed at the woman with a sexy intersected black dress on one side of it.
"She's been cut as a boyfriend." Ethan lost both hands.
Alexa momentarily bought both eyes. "I think the story will be like Cinderella" he said as he looked at Kiandra with his eyes.
"I also thought that someone would put down the crown of his incompetence that was beginning to rust." Roy said, sipping a cigarette and exhaling the smoke.
"Where is it good to be single." Ethan is single. "Free!" he continued while putting snacks into the mouth.
Kiandra was dumb with their conversation, because her eyes were still focused on Anna who was being visited by a male guest. What makes Kiandra's forehead wrinkled deep is that the guest can make Anna, who was once moody, now smile wide to cover her mouth with her hands.
What kind of model she hears?
his mind doesn't like.
Return to Aldo who was talking to Kirana and Dave. In the middle of the party crowd, as well as the noise of the sound of music playing, they look close to each other.
"sorry. But... I always wondered, why didn't Mr. Dave just go back to town and lead the Sanjaya Company?" ask Aldo to know. "I mean. yeah.. You know for yourself, sometimes the Chief gets a little too muddy with a lot of work." he's funny.
The husbands looked at each other, "there's Mr. Aldo helping" Dave said with a smile.
Aldo misbehaved with scratching his head that does not itch. "I don't mean so, sir." he tried to rectify.
Kirana was amused at Aldo's nervous behavior.
"Yes, I get it." The fifty-year-old man was calming. "I understand what Mr. Aldo meant." he smiled again.
Aldo gulped at the face of Dave who was no longer young. However, no matter how many wrinkles on his face or how discolored his hair was, he could still recognize the man as a former brother-in-law who had never been known.
"Living in the city and having it all, sometimes does not guarantee inner calm" said the man before him.
Aldo's eyes widened.
"Maybe we're weird." he turned to his wife, and they threw each other a smile, before he looked back at the man in the navy suit. "But living in the village makes us more calm and happy" he continued.
"really?" aldo asked unexpectedly.
The couple were a little shocked by Aldo's changing tone of voice.
"The rural nature does calm down" he continued. "I grew up in such an environment" he thinned his lips. "So calm crotch to the point that we can forget the identity of the self." look Aldo's eyes turned soft.
Suddenly a woman screams, which makes their attention instantly distracted. In the corner, Kama lights a firecracker, which leaves some guests scattering.
But, there are also other guests who laugh with the spontaneous behavior of people who usually seem calm, but can be hysterical because of a firecracker.
"The kids." Kirana was furious, and without being told to immediately approach the two boys who laughed cowering and holding the stomach.
"I'm sorry, too." Aldo lowered his head for a moment, then turned around.
"Wait." stop Dave, make the man's steps stop.
"Yes?" Aldo turned his head towards her and smiled as usual.
Dave walked forward, making now they stand on equal footing.
"Dad said, Mr. Aldo has served 10 years in the Company" Dave said without any tendency.
At first Aldo shook his head, then nodded and smiled.
Dave replied with the same smile. "Thank you." he continued.
Aldo surprised. But he tried not to show his surprise.
"In addition to having high integrity, it must be Mr. Aldo who is patient, because not everyone can stand the performance of your Chief who is hard." he chuckled.
Aldo tried to laugh at the joke, although his laughter sounded bland.
Both are silent again. Although around noisy, but somehow around them feels quiet.
Suddenly Dave reached out. "I'm sorry" he said.
Aldo's eyes were perfectly rounded.
"On behalf of the Marthadinata and Sanjaya families, I'm sorry." continued Dave sincerely.
"Ke, why are you..." Aldo was at a loss to behave beyond his predictions.
"Sir Aldo won't shake my hand?" Dave pretended to be astonished.
In asked like that, inevitably Aldo finally shook the hand of the man who should be the CEO of the Company where he worked.
"Mr Dave, you don't have to..."
"I would be very happy, if Mr. Aldo continues to accompany the Chief and jointly advance the Company."
Aldo was stunned.
Dave looked at the man his sister-in-law's age while thinning his lips. "Sir Aldo is right, the quiet rural environment, makes us seem to forget our identity. I don't deny that either." Dave threw his gaze away into the party crowd.
"I'm happy, when people only know me as a teacher in a small Elementary School. Or get to know my wife, just as a housewife who sometimes helps neighbors farm. Life that looks harmonious to the point of making around envious. But that doesn't change reality if we're happy with the suffering of others, right?" Dave looked back at Aldo, who made both of the men's eyeballs tremble.
".... I don't understand.., why are you discussing personal matters like this with me." he said without looking at the interlocutor.
"Angela." said Dave.
Aldo's heart was like a sledgehammer.
"My first wife's name." he continued.
Aldo's still down.
"I was wrong, after all, because I couldn't be happy. But, I also can't keep lying to Angela by pretending to love her."
Aldo stared at the man in the black suit.
"Maybe Dad is a cruel man who justifies everything. But for us, Dad was a father figure who always tried to protect his family."
Aldo's hands were clenched, throwing his face away. In that second, there was clearly the real face of an Aldo. Injured, with an angry and bitter expression that blends into one.
"Sir Aldo may be vengeful, for it is a natural thing." Dave said back. "But vengeance is only upon me, for it is all because of my selfishness." he stepped closer.
Aldo remained bowed unmoved.
"Dad is very old" said the man with the light of the eyes that is no less painful than him. "Kirana, Mom and even Kian, don't know anything about it." she continued.
Aldo's expression implied shock.
"I just found out, when Dad was in the hospital, and that's where he was honest about everything." Dave added.
The feeling of tightness again spread in Aldo's chest cavities. As painful as it was when he first found out, he was in fact the son of Adriansyah Adam, a conglomerate whose entire family died in a tragic accident. Or so he heard from the husbands he had thought were his biological parents, and the newspapers that reported about the incident.
Victoria, who eavesdropped on their conversation, slowly took down an FN-type firearm equipped with a silencer. He who was suspicious of Aldo, deliberately on guard, just to make sure the man did not act foolishly.
However, because of that too, Victoria forgot her primary responsibility.
