Seducing Miss Introvert

Seducing Miss Introvert
LONGS

"What?" the voice from the phone sounded shocked.

"Yes, Kian won't see me." Dave was pinching his heavy temple.

"Why is he so insolent like this? does he feel great about being able to replace Daddy?" the sound of the speakers sounded angry.

"No. I'm sure Kian's not that kind of person." Dave tried to calm his wife.

"He's made you wait from day to night. But you're still defending him?" his wife did not think.

"Maybe it's really busy. You know for yourself the burden of work that he has to shoulder."  The 50-year-old remained calm.

I heard a breath from across there.

"For Kian it is not a burden. It was not he himself who had happily offered himself up. She's thirsty for Daddy's and mom's praise, so she's..."

His wife continued to nag about Kiandra who was considered disrespectful and inappropriate to do so to her husband, who incidentally was his own brother-in-law.

Dave heard without even interrupting. For those who have lived a household heresy for many years and understand the character of his wife. Things like this are never put to the heart.

Dave knew that his wife was angry only because of a momentary emotion, which would soon subside and be replaced with anxiety, because Kiandra did not want to make peace with them.

"From the beginning and I fought a lot. But..you know that I love him so much...?"

It's true Dave's guess. His wife's intonation had softened and sounded trembling, which meant that he was holding on to grief.

"Yes, you're close." Dave settles into a car jog, looking at the spacious courtyard of the Marthadinata family home that has barely changed from the last time he lived.

"How can we explain that he always dodged like this? I really want to meet him.."

Dave's gaze was bowed to hear his wife's chatter.

"Kian..., why did our relationship become like this...?"

Now his wife's voice had turned into tears.

"Here, don't think about it. Tomorrow I'll go straight to her apartment." Dave remained calm, though actually agitated.

"I'm afraid you guys fought like that..."

Dave sighed, then closed both eyes for a moment.

"No." he answered. "I'm sure it's a lot more mature now."

"But..."

"Kira..." Her husband cut her sentence softly. "Trust me, everything will be fine."

"Alright Dave.." the sound from inside the speaker sounded resigned. "I just want us to be like we used to be."

"We'll be like we used to be, honey. I promise." Dave reassuring.

"I look forward to that day..."

"I'm looking forward to it too." Dave says. "We're barberque-nan by the lake like we used to. With Dad, mom, the twins and maybe Kian will bring his partner."

"What kind of woman will be strong with that Kian" his wife chirped.

Dave laughing.

"On the outside, he looks calm and dignified. He's crazier than Daddy."

"Husha..Kirana." Dave told him to shut up, because he indirectly vilified parents. But what his wife said was true, and it made Dave smile.

" At the very least, the woman who will become his companion must be as gentle and patient as the mother." Kirana is still nerocos.

When it comes to that one-of-a-kind little brother, Kirana is indeed very excited to the point of forgetting her age.

Hearing his wife's chatter, Dave smiled until the wrinkles on his face increased. But strangely, his face even looks more charming.

"Well, where are the twins?" dave asked after Kirana was satisfied to take out all her uneg-uneg.

"They're asleep." Kirana answered briefly. He was still upset with Kiandra and nagging for almost 5 minutes was not enough.

"I miss them." Dave welding.

"They're asking you every day, too, he said, why don't you come home?" this time there was no more upset or sad tone.

Dave chuckles. "They're funny, they're adorable and they can't be as quiet as you."

"Tonight I'll stay at Dad's. Do you want a video call with them?" Dave offered while turning off the car engine.

"Ah, I miss Daddy and mom." his wife's voice turned lethargic.

"Next week when the twins are off, let's just play here." Dave proposes.

"If Kian is angry how?"

"Where could it be that we're getting angry if we bring the twins?" Dave brushed off his wife's bad thoughts.

"But the Adriansyah family...."

"Why did you even talk there?" Dave doesn't seem to like it. "Our happiness has nothing to do with it."

There was no sound from inside the speaker.

The middle-aged man's forehead was slightly wrinkled. But then, he loosened along with he let out a long sigh.

Some guards who saw the man bowed respectfully.

"Mr Dave."

"Welcome Mr. Dave.

"Night Mr. Dave."

The bodyguards say hello. Dave smiled as he walked straight towards the magnificent Marthadinata family's mother house with two huge pillars on either side.

"I've arrived. I'll call you again." Dave disconnected the phone without waiting for his wife to answer.

A female servant opened the door, and was a little shocked to see her coming.

"Mr Dave?"

In the Marthadinata family, all the servants were hardly replaced. Some are even hereditary to serve the family. So no wonder, if the servants know every incident in the past.

"Si, please Mr." The old-time waiter was welcome.

At first Dave hesitated to step up, because something made it hard to get back to this house.

However, his relationship with Kiandra was fractured and for years there was no meeting point, forcing him to return to this city, to this house.

Dad...

dave said in his heart.

Sudden sweet-bitter memories of their past beseliweran in the eye fertilizer.

"Mr Dave." The waiter's call woke him up from a daydream.

Dave smiled to cover his heartbreak.

"Please enter the Lord." back he allowed. "Master and Madam are sitting in the living room."

"Thank you." Dave finally walked in.

Unlike the circumstances outside that are dimly dark. Inside the house is brightly lit, by sharing furniture that is on average made of wood carvings typical of the city of Jepara.

Along the wall that Dave went through, he looked at figurines of photos that contained memories of the family's past.

No exception photos of himself with his wife and Kiandra who was then 7 years old.

Dave stopped to look at the photo.

"Why did you marry my sister? why is it that only my brother and my family are blasphemed?!"

The Kiandra rage.

"We're not blood Dave!"

Dave covered his face with a palm.

We live in the present and should only look to the future.

But why do people enjoy longing for a painful past?
