"Chief, I have permission to resign" Aldo said suddenly.
Instantly Kiandra who had been focused on work looked towards him.
"But I promise, will complete all the responsibilities before..."
"What the fuck is that talking about you?" cut Kiandra ketus. "You want to ruin my happy day, huhh?!" his face immediately flushed if emotionless.
"Mom, that's not the Chief... But, I..." Aldo tried to explain.
"You want to raise your pay?" concluded Kiandra with a frown furrowed inside.
"No, Chief." he's in a tatters.
"Replace a new car?" Mata Kiandra.
"That's what else, Chief. I don't like to change when I'm comfortable." Aldo.
Jeez... Why talk about pay and cars..?
his mind is not out of thought.
.
"Then what?" Kiandra who was able to dispel her shock crossed her while staring at him.
Aldo let out a long sigh, then hooked his fingers on the table. "I want to help my parents in the village, Chief." he said.
The expression Kiandra implies distrust.
"My father is old and sickly, my two older sisters will also soon be married and brought their respective husbands to wander. My parents just got me Chief." Aldo.
Raut Kiandra loosened hearing the words of her Personal Assistant who was accompanied by that thin smile. He looked away, and tried to position himself as the man.
"In the village, my parents had several plots of rice fields and fields. It's not too broad, Chief. But, because of those rice fields and fields as well, I was able to go to college in the city and become what I am today. And with the current conditions, my parents cannot pay people to cultivate the fields and fields. To do it myself, my parents are no longer able." Aldo paused for a moment, then looked at Kiandra who was still silent looking at him. "I'm just asking for your understanding, Chief." he continued, bowing.
The state of the workspace with maximum lighting from the glass wall behind Kiandra was silent.
Kiandra did not expect to be in the lives of the best people in this situation. Ten years is not a short time, and all this time he has considered Aldo more than a Personal Assistant.
Sometimes his actions make him suspicious. But, until this moment Aldo never cheat, evil or harm himself and the Company.
"A, can't you stay here and we can consider increasing the allowance, so that you can pay people to cultivate your fields and fields?" Kiandra made a bid, though it was clearly against the rules.
Aldo chuckles. "You afraid of losing me, Chief?" his joke to melt the atmosphere.
"Yes" he replied firmly.
Aldo's stunned.
"You yourself know how early on we should bear this burden and responsibility, even though I haven't graduated from graduate school myself." The man with firm jaws and his light brown eyes said.
Aldo said nothing. However, he remembered the moment as the most difficult, because everything needed to be adapted and it was not easy. Given the Kiandra is still so unstable, as well as her who has not understood the performance and also the willingness of her Chief.
However, everything can be passed. Including rong-rongs from Sanjaya's distant family who feel more entitled to the Sanjaya Company, than Kiandra who only has the status of a sister-in-law.
The world does know Kiandra Mahika as a genius young CEO who successfully built Marthadinata Groub in the Covid era though. However, the world does not know Aldo Prayogi, as a Personal Assistant who helps, sustains and makes it continue to be able to run until the Company is getting bigger as it is now.
"I wish you'd get out of here when old and senile. Until there is no other choice but to retire." said Kiandra straightforwardly.
"...Chief.." said Aldo after that did not immediately respond.
Kiandra tilted her head slightly as a listening sign.
"We both live apart from the parents." he looked at Kiandra nicely. "It should be without me explaining in more detail, you already understand. About what parents expect their children to live far beyond money."
Hearing the words of the Aldo who was accompanied by his trademark smile, making Kiandra no longer able to prevent.
"Well, if that's your decision." he said without being able to hide his disappointment. "As per Company rules, you'll get a salary, benefits and severance pay for all your dedication."
"Thank you, Chief." said Aldo sincerely.
Kiandra indifferently, then closed the map that he had finished signing, then shifted just like that towards her Personal Assistant. "Get out there!" command without seeing the interlocutor.
Aldo knew that Kiandra felt betrayed by her sudden decision. However, this path must be taken. He could not go on next to the person who would awaken his childhood bad memories. But on the other hand, he also cannot, if he has to hurt the person who has been considered as his good friend.
"I'm sorry, Chief." Aldo bowed for a moment, then turned around and walked out of the room.
Kiandra immediately turned her chair to face the glass wall which showed a view of the blue sky with the sun hiding behind its white clouds.
"Daddy was wrong to put that dangerous man near you. But, it's never too late to get rid of him."
Kiandra remembers her conversation with her father.
"As long as he does nothing to harm the Company or to harm my life. I don't want Daddy to interfere." he insists.
"You want to be wretched first, just obey your Daddy?" his father's old face looked angry.
"I believe him!"
Kiandra let out a long sigh, then stomped her forehead and closed both eyes.
Activity continues as it should. Until late afternoon and the workers came home, and only told the guards who stood guard until morning and changed shif.
.
After stopping by a stall for dinner, Aldo intends to go home soon. He has pressed the gas pedal to run the car which is one of the facilities that can be because of its position, when from a distance he saw a sports motorcycle that someone was driving.
his eyes squinted to make sure the figure of the rider wearing the fullface helmet.
.
The beach in the morning is indeed fun with its boisterous and solar rays. However, the beach at night is more pleasant with only the pounding of waves that are heard to the heart.
Aldo and Victoria were sitting on the beach looking at the sea and the sky in the dark.
It's been half an hour since they did. Just shut up, no one spoke.
Occasionally the waves are big enough to reach the rocks they are exposed to, making their feet wet by the water. Yet again they flinch.
The beach breeze blew, bringing the salty scent from the sea to the land. Victoria's long hair was fluttering with the will of the wind that wanted to fly free.
"Now you don't have to worry anymore, Vic." said Aldo as he looked at the woman sitting next to him. "Tschuss." he continued.
Victoria stared deep into the sea that lay before her. His heart is dull, goodbye feels painful, even though he tries not to care.
Aldo took something from behind his tightly fastened suit. "I bought this when I found out about my past." he showed me the type 22 firearm he took from the abandoned house of Ardiansyah Adam.
Seeing him, Victoria's forehead creased slightly. But, he did not try to avoid or seize the dangerous object.
"I always keep it behind a suit." Aldo opened his suit, then showed how he hid it.
Victoria's stifled manner, because she had been aware of her negligence all along.
"Maybe you've noticed it." the man said casually as he placed the firearm in the middle of them sitting down. "When Chief and I used to walk the Mall, I could barely control myself and nearly shot him." he turned to the woman who was now staring at me like a lion ready to pounce. "But it didn't, because I remembered you." he continued.
Victoria's raut instantly loosened.
"I thought, what if I kill him? You will also be punished. Then after that I regretted, I might want to kill the Chief whom I respect so much.." he bowed sadly.
The waves again broke the silence of the night. The beach is getting colder with the strong wind and moving the trees around.
Maybe for the cowardly, the state of the beach at night like today feels gripping. However, for Aldo who was suddenly in the arms of Victoria, tonight felt very thrilling.
"Ich mag dich sehr." whispered the woman.
Aldo pecked with both eyes rounded.
What...? Did he say...?
he thought it was a delusion.
"Please don't go. I. I really like you." Victoria repeated.
This time Aldo immediately took off the woman's embrace and held her well.
"What did you say?" he shakes Victoria's shoulder.
However, the woman who works as a bodyguard looks embarrassed and reluctant to say it again.
Aldo sighed grimly. "When I leave, I just want to know how you feel..."
Victoria was immediately upset. "Ja, don't go. I mean. I want us to be together." he explained with the stamped Indonesian language.
At first the man with his disheveled hair in the wind saw with the tip of his eye, then looked at the German-born woman completely. "Let's say it." he ordered while raising one eyebrow.
If it wasn't night, Victoria's flushed cheeks would look funny.
"...I.. love you." he said, bowed.
"Hoorree...!!" suddenly Aldo jumped like a child.
Victoria was shocked to see the thirty-year-old man's reaction.
"You're my wife, huh, Vic?" Aldo grabbed Victoria's hands and took her soaring like a lottery winner.
Victoria, who thought the man was sad, was astonished by the rapid change in his mood. But honestly, he was happy too.
The night was getting late and they decided to go home.
.
"What?" Victoria who was already on top of her sport bike that was lit was surprised to open the glass helmet.
"Yes, I did submit my resignation today. But, as per the Company's procedures, I've officially quit for another month." Aldo who was standing in front of his car explained.
"Ja, so...?" Victoria was unable to continue her sentence.
"So tomorrow I still leave for work as usual." the man smiled widely.
Victoria's dumbfounded.
Aldo laughed as he opened the car door. "Tomorrow in our office should be hand in hand, huh?" he blinked one eye before getting into the car.
Victoria who thought this was the last day they met was still in shock, because she had already embraced and said the word love.
I seem to underestimate him too much.
he said in his heart.
The moon up there smiled at the scene.
