After the minimarket, Aida and Qonni found no one at home. Even their homes are locked. Fortunately, there is a spare house key that always hangs with the keys of the matic motorbike that Aida usually carries everywhere.
"The same father as Safa does not exist, huh?" Qonni went room by room looking for two other members of his family.
"Maybe come out for a minute looking for something. Just help me get this done, yuk." Aida doesn't think much. Even in his heart he was happy, thinking about the application event earlier.
Maybe it was like this line, he used to not match with Mas Irsyad. Who would have thought, it was his eldest daughter who would be paired with the eldest son. At least, Safa could be happy unlike herself once she thought expectantly.
A few hours later, the sky was dark. Qonni was pacing back and forth waiting for his father on the terrace. With a series of words of protest that he had prepared for the two of them after leaving without inviting him. And when an old motorbike entered the courtyard of their house. Qonni's face turned increasingly sour, both of his hands dazzling in front of his chest.
"Assalamualaikum..," said Ulum while smiling at his youngest child. Especially when looking at her pursed lips irritated.
"Dad went with Mba Safa ngajak Qonni?" his protest.
"How else, you went with mom. Dad also went with Safa." Ulum replied with a slight joke.
"But you should be able to wait for Qonni, right?" The girl in a rectangular veil of milk-brown color was not satisfied with the father's answer.
Unlike Ulum who still responds. Safa herself made no sound other than her faint smile before she said her greetings and entered. Passing through the body of his sister who constantly protests against their father.
There was a strange thing that apparently caught the twenty year old girl. When Safa usually mocked him if he was complaining. Not even responding to anything.
His body twisted a little, following the steps of Mbak Safa who went straight into his room. Qonni was amazed by his attitude. It looks like Safa is not okay. Not to mention her crying face.
"Dad, why Safa?" He whispered after turning his body again to Ulum. The curiosity about the sad face of her sister was much greater than the upset earlier.
"Why what? You're so full after eating Taichan satay." Ulum directed the satay-filled package before Qonni.
"So, Dad and Sister Safa are out of the culinary complex, huh?" Protest's back.
"Yes dong. Find the wind, Dek," he replied.
"Kurayang!"
"Well, what's important is that you bring it to you as a mother, right?"
"But Qonni wants to go for a walk too."
"It doesn't fit the motor dong. Do you want Daddy to taro in front? Can't you, too, ride a three-wheeler?"
"Come, Daddy's a bitch."
"Have it done. Take it in there, gih. I'm going to the WC first." The middle-aged man hurriedly went inside through the living room then entered the kitchen. There he runs into Aida who is moving the leftovers to a smaller place.
"Where is Abis, Mas?" Ask Aida.
"Find the wind for a bit with Safa," he answered briefly as he walked a little quickly towards the bathroom.
"Mom, look at this. I bought a lot of satay." Qonni who was tailing behind his father directly thrust the satay earlier.
"Oh God, Dad? It's a lot of food why buy satay, anyway?" Aida protested when she saw the package of satay.
"The whole story, Mom. Dad will be clear. After you finish your business," replied Ulum from the bathroom. Aida sighed, then put the satay on the dining table.
––
Magrib's time has come. Ulum had gone to the mosque with Aida, while Qonni and Safa were left behind. Choose to perform their worship at home.
After the prayer the shady-eyed girl sat down on her prostrate. Daydreaming, looking at the surface of the prayer mat that has a picture of the dome of the mosque. His hands hugged the pink mushaf. What he used to wear to cover.
Previously, Safa did not want to cry, when verse by verse in Hud letter was read. But some of the pieces of the verse apparently made Safa unable to hold it anymore.
The clear sheets are back in disarray. He even paused his reading a few times to release the sadness of his heart. Lirih Isak her cries began to come out from her pink lips. His right hand then gently rubbed his wet cheek while occasionally beristighfar.
Oh God, forgive me. Because my patience is not that thick. I even felt insincere with his decision that had rejected me even with the subtlest words possible. I thought, after everything was delivered would be a relief?
Why did it all turn into disappointment? He also has the right to file a rejection.
Safa mourned everything. Hugging the little mushaf tightly. For years he has felt. But you have to accept this kind of reality.
Though previously he hoped, his story would be the same with Fatimah and Ali bin Abi Talib. Where love in silence they are conveyed even got the blessing of the Creator who married them directly in the sky.
He never thought his love would clap one hand. Could this be the meaning of his dream? Because before that he dreamed of meeting Rumi in a beautiful garden filled with weeds. Who interprets that he will never unite?
"Hiks! It's a shame." Safa pressed her chest. The more he felt at this moment. While the love that Rumi has known is increasingly causing a sense that makes her feel inferior.
I can't see Rumi or Debby anymore. I'm ashamed, so ashamed of them!
Safa's other hand held a prayer mat underneath. Squeezing strong as if he was emitting emotions imprisoned in his soul.
A knock from outside the room sounded slow. Qonni called out to him to ask for the help of his intentions. But still from within. Safa hasn't wanted to talk to anyone. His lips were groaning to answer the call of his only sister.
"Mbak Safa! Ma'am!" The long-haired girl was silent, biting the tip of her lower lip as she moved her head forward, and pressed her ears against the bedroom door. He could faintly hear Safa's crying voice from within.
Safa's mother crying? What's up, huh? May it have something to do with the same conversation Kak Rumi earlier? –the girl's inner fixated.
Qonni did not ask his sister for help. And chose to go back to his own room.
....
Waiting until ba'da isya arrives. Their mother and father returned. Qonni who was worried immediately approached his mother.
"Mother, Ms. Safa from earlier did not leave the room. Qonni also cried out, "" he said, holding his face in his mother's hand.
"Crying?" Aida asked while looking at her husband, but she quickly walked towards the door of Safa's room.
A slow tap was directed, Aida even called out the name of her eldest daughter several times in order to come out.
"Safa..., Fa?"
"Mom, Safa's tired maybe?" Ulum tried to restrain the wife from asking their daughter too much. Not long after the door of the room opened.
"Mother call Safa?" Ask with a sweet smile. The three people in front of him looked strangely at him. "What's wrong? Why is everyone gathering at Safa's doorstep?"
"Aren't you papa, son?" Aida asked gently rubbed her face.
"No papa. What happened to Safa?" Ask back. Who's trying to look okay.
"Qonni said you were crying?" Ask Aida again. Safa turned to her sister and smiled and shifted her eyes to Aida.
"That is because Safa read the Qur'an Hud. That's why. Isn't that normal, is it?" The shady-eyed girl tried to laugh. Even though his eyes could not lie to them. Aida herself was not sure of that answer. He still looked at Safa in full detail.
"Yes, is there nothing?"
Safa laughed again, then shook her head slowly. "Yes, there's nothing, ma'am" she replied.
"But I heard it clearly, Sister Safa whimpered," muttered Qonni.
"No, Deck."
"Really?" Ask Aida to convince once again.
"Yes, Mom. Yes, Safa wants a break. Tomorrow there's a morning meeting."
"Yes, but it's praying, right?"
"Mom, Mom." The girl lowered her head politely before going back inside her room.
"Liat, our son is not papa," said Ulum.
"I'm not sure, Dad."
"Aren't sure how? Don't think too much."
"Hoaaaaam..." Qonni yawned making both his parents turn at the same time.
"Are you sleepy too?" Ask Ulum to Qonni.
"Actually it is, but it must be a master of unfinished tasks."
"Yes, go on, sana! Then go to sleep."
"The owner is so, Dad. The problem is I'm having trouble. You want to help?"
"Hemmmm, yeah. Yuk, I'll help you as much as I can."
"Yeahaaay." Qonni walked first leaving his parents behind. While Aida was still curious about the sad state of Safa.
"My feeling is not good, Mom."
"Not good how? I just watched TV. Your favorite soap opera is out, for sure!"
"Hemmm, yes. There accompany Qonni to study."
"Yes, Aida." Smile there. After Aida entered the middle room Ulum also sighed softly. "Aida can't know first. He gets upset easily. Worrying will become a more runny thing," he murmured later before returning to continue his steps.
