Enter the middle room. The two of them were greeted by Aunt Zaenab who was stirring something in one container. There was smoke rising above the container. The food just ripened.
"Please sit–" said Uncle Emir welcome kindly. Both hands immediately quickly put on anti-heat gloves after his wife spoke.
Of course Safa and Arifin immediately agreed. Take position. Sit on a typical wooden chair if you look around. The size is not too big, but still comfortable.
Safa's two hands were still reluctant to come out of her coat pocket. Because the room was impressed. However, there was no heating machine there. So that the cold still feels though not as bad as outside.
Uncle walked while carrying a hot plate containing simple Turkish dishes. The container containing the newly cooked dishes was placed on the table by Uncle Emir. Auntie Zaenab is ready with the main menu.
"Turn your plates!" Pintanya uses Turkish. Afin immediately translated as he turned the plate in front of him which Safa followed later.
The fifty-year-old woman smiled when she saw that they had turned over the plate, without exception Safa.
"First to our beautiful aide" the hijab-wearing woman filled Safa's plate with dough made from spiced boiled potatoes crushed with bread. It looks strange indeed for Indonesians who just set foot in Turkey for the first time
Safa smiled sweetly as she thanked him using Turkish. Followed Afin before. Of course Afin's response showed he was happy and also two other people.
"You're easy to learn, son," praised Aunt Zaenab with a laugh. They also laugh at their laughter.
Here Afin's mouth is actively speaking as a translator. How else, his uncle and aunt are also not fluent in English so they still speak their own language.
All the rice substitutes were on their plates. Uncle also craved two tablespoons of vegetables in which there are nuts and meat. It was a very strange menu for Safa. But the owner of the fairy's eyes did not refuse to taste it.
"Maybe our food is a little foreign to you, son-in-law. But my wife is the best at cooking. I assure you, you will not be disappointed" said the uncle, chuckling. Afin immediately translated it which made Safa respond with a polite smile. The woman nodded.
"I believe this food must be delicious" he said in Turkish. Afin brandished his thumb giving a compliment. Those words were also from him who guided him.
While Aunt Zaenab showed a moved response, while hinting a kiss mark through the tip of her palm. They laugh again too.
"Let's eat.." he added.
Safa looked at Afin. The man took a little potato and bread mixture and mixed with meat and beans that are slightly fruiting. After that, it was directed at Safa.
"This is a combination that I think is perfect. The typical food here is suitable in winter," he convinced Safa to try immediately.
Even the woman did not think much, she immediately opened her mouth while Afin pushed the food into Safa's mouth.
"Try the salad." Afin again directs a spoonful of Turkish vegetable salad.
"My mouth is full..." Safa closed her mouth while laughing.
"Open a little this will make the food in your mouth more broken," pinta Afin soft. As for the mouth full Safa remained slightly open. To take a bite of that vegetable salad.
"Where?"
"Hmmmm..." The woman nodded in agreement. His hands were still busy closing his full lips, mid-chewing.
Really, it's the perfect combination, and definitely not fatty. Can be said very healthy and warm. –Batin Safa enjoy it.
"Nake?" Ask uncle while chuckling. Safa also showed her index finger and thumb that formed a circle while nodding. The mouth full cannot be opened to answer.
"Haha... MashaAllah, MashaAllah..." They laugh happily. Especially Aunt Zaenab. The atmosphere of the room that is still fairly cold it becomes warmer because of a sense of close family.
A few minutes after finishing their meal. Afin invites Safa to walk around Uncle's house. There the majority live in high flats. But unlike his uncle, he lived at the bottom of one of the buildings.
A cold wind blew against their bodies. Safa's hands again felt frozen, while Afin still continued to walk by her side showing this and that.
"There is an olive grove, but usually there are figs as well. Wanna look around?" Afin.
"Is the garden we're going to belong to Uncle Emir?"
"Yes, but not all. Some of the land belongs to the residents of this building. Let's see, there's still tin."
Safa nodded following the long steps of her Husband. His one hand continued to hide within the thick Coat bag. The other hand feels warmer. Locked in a Coat bag that Afin uses.
The hundred hectares of land had partly begun to be covered in thin snow. Many plants have also fallen.
"Dearly enough. During summer, more fruits usually grow. Even the wild ones exist."
"But it's beautiful, Bang." Both eyes are hanging. Where the veil slightly fluttered in the wind.
Afin turned to look at Safa. He smiled, before rubbing the cheeks that had been reddened by the cold, bringing the beautiful face back to him.
"You're as cold as you are."
"Lumayan. But it's still safe." Chuckles.
"We went back to the hotel, right? The heating in uncle's house is not so optimal."
Safa shook her head slowly. "No papa, as promised. We'll be home after Ashar. Not for long. After all, you haven't seen your uncle and aunt."
"Yes you're right. They actually want us to stay, but I'm worried about you. You're not used to cold gini-rich places. Worried you'll get hypothermia tonight."
"I don't really have a problem. We took a break in the room that was already provided. I don't think it's too cold."
The man kissed the forehead that was covered in the hijab gently. "No for today. One day if we come back here again maybe we are. I will choose the right time.... Guzelim."
The gray-hijabed woman smiled happily. Afin is really sweet for him in treating women. Though his appearance that looks delinquent before had made him worried.
Afin looked in the opposite direction. Then find something that made him immediately smile widely.
"Look at that big rock." Afin pointed at a large stone two meters high among the trees that were there. "The dead thing is still there" the man then invited the wife closer. Then touched the cold stone with his wrapped hand.
Safa doesn't really understand. Why did the man continue to live on this cold boulder. Like there's something that makes it worthwhile.
"I once wrote hope here first." he muttered making Safa frown.
"Hope?" tanyakanya. But Afin just quietly returned the gaze seriously. Because he thought he would kill himself in this place. Because impossible, his life will be fine after being destroyed by the Devil man.
I am grateful that I can take you to this stone of despair. And I promised myself I would bring anyone who sincerely accepts me someday. And I can take you now, to this place. –The man grabbed Safa's hand and then kissed her.
Safa was touched. Although Afin did not speak at length but he understood, if the man was showing love to him.
Afin's hand immediately grabbed his wife's slender waist. Then turned their eyes to the expanse of land that was partly covered with snow. And it was not long before he resumed his steps towards the mosque where Uncle Emir was assigned as an imam in the mosque.
