A man walking with a big smile approached the cashier table where Dita was. He looked indifferent even though many were looking at him with curious gazes.
“Goodnight, Mr. Ervin,” greet Dita kindly as soon as the man stands nearby.
“Night, Dita. Do you work here?” reply to the man called Mr. Ervin.
“No, Sir. I'm just helping my husband here. He's the owner of this cafe. Momentarily Sir, I call my husband.” Dita approached Rendra whose facial expression was already very unpleasant to see.
“Come Mas, acquaintance used to be with Mr. Ervin. His face please be conditioned first, Mas. Don't be blind jealous like this.” Dita stroked Rendra's arm to ease her emotions.
Mr. Ervin is an assistant lecturer who taught Dita in semester 3 yesterday. She is very concerned about Dita because of her pregnant condition but still remains in college, and it makes Rendra jealous. Any man that Rendra did not know well, and being familiar with his wife always provoked his emotions. He was always jealous and put on a hostile face.
Rendra according to him when he was taken Dita left the barista area to approach his teaching assistant near the cashier table.
“Oh this, her husband Dita. Meet me Ervin, his teaching assistant.” Mr. Ervin kindly greeted and reached out to Rendra. Although with a little heavy heart, Rendra returned a helping hand and they shook hands.
“I Rendra, her husband Dita.” Rendra's left hand hugged Dita's waist possessively while shaking hands with Mr. Ervin.
“Great for your husband, Dita. Still young but have a cool cafe like this,” praise Mr. Ervin.
“Alhamdulillah, this is still pioneering Sir,” said Dita.
“I heard from your friends, your son died in the womb. I am sorry, hopefully it can be your savings in the afterlife later,” said Mr. Ervin sincerely.
“Aamiin. Thank you, sir,” said Dita and Rendra together.
“Pak Ervin came with whom?” tanya Dita switched the conversation so that she did not become sad because she remembered Akhtar.
“Same wife, there she is.” Mr. Ervin pointed to one corner of the table. “Come, I am introducing with my wife.”
Dita and Rendra follow Mr. Ervin to the table where his wife is.
“Ma, this is Dita. My student I told you about was pregnant but still in college spirit. Dita, this is my wife, her name is Sita. And this is Dita's husband, Rendra.” Mr. Ervin introduced the three of them. They then shake each other.
“Ma, this cafe turned out to be Rendra's, her husband Dita,” Mr. Ervin explained to his wife.
“Really? We've been here a few times. But it never seems to see you guys.”
“Yes, Ms. Sita. Thank you for being our customer. Indeed, we rarely come here, especially after Dita became pregnant and yesterday had to be operated on. Now thank God it's starting to recover, so it can go out." Rendra began to be friendly after getting acquainted with Mr. Ervin's wife.
"I salute Dita though pregnant but never complain with a lot of tasks. That's why yesterday I was very attentive to him, considering my wife had also been in the same situation. Must have been very tired of college with a pregnant condition."
"Thank you for your concern for Dita, sir. Sorry I was jealous of Mr. Ervin. I didn't know you had a wife."
Mr. Ervin smiled, he patted Rendra on the shoulder. "It's okay. Now there's no more misunderstanding, right."
"No, Mr. Ervin." Rendra's face had turned bright and friendly. A smile never leaves his face.
"Sir Ervin and Ibu Sita have ordered food and drinks?" ask Dita later.
"Here it is, it is finished" replied Mr. Ervin with a small laugh.
"If any of our services or dishes are unsatisfactory, we ask for criticism and advice, sir, ma'am." This time Rendra acted as the owner of the cafe.
"Nothing is unsatisfactory. My wife and son love Mexican bread the most by the smell of that coffee. Much cheaper and tastier than the one at the mall."
"Thank God, thank you. Son or daughter where sir, how are you alone with mom?"
"She was at home with her grandmother and her cousin's brothers. The story is we are dating again this," said Mr. Ervin with a small laugh.
"Please Mr. Ervin, Ms. Sita enjoys her food and drinks. We say we want to help serve customers" said Rendra.
"Oh yes, please. I'm sorry, I'm interrupting your work."
"No, Sir. There are actually employees who are responsible. We're just a little help them."
"The good boss. Please continue with the job."
"Let's Sir, Ma'am. Excuse me first." Rendra and Dita slightly bowed in salute to Mr. Ervin and his wife. After that they returned to their positions.
Dita had asked Bella to wrap some Mexican bread that became a favorite of Mr. Ervin's family. He gave it to her before Mr. Ervin left the cafe. Although he refused to accept, Dita still forced. He said it was a gift for their son and his cousins back home.
The cafe is closed as usual even though tonight is the turn of the year. After the cafe was closed, the employees cleaned the table, chairs, and cutlery that had been used until everything was clean.
One by one the employees who entered the first shift began to arrive. As the night weather was clear, they did a barbeque in the side area of the open-air cafe.
Candra has bought beef, chicken, sausage, corn, and some vegetables that will be baked. Do not forget to also prepare snacks and drinks for them. Sweet martabak and egg martabak that was bought by Dita were also served.
All employees share tasks, some set up a fire and are responsible for grilling. Some cut the ingredients to be baked. There are those who prepare spread spices and also cocolan. And there are those in charge of puncturing the material to be baked.
Meanwhile, Dita must do nothing but prepare a table for them to eat together with Bella. A rendra? He was busy alone in his room checking reports and preparing year-end bonuses for his employees.
"Ta, I'm staying. It's not good for my friends that I just sit here and don't help them" Bella said.
"Udah is here. It's the boss's orders, don't argue, "soon Dita. "Here we serve those who need a drink and a snack during work. Just calm down."
"Said Mas Candra, you are going home so you can join this event, Bel?"
"When else can I go home tonight if not now."
"Aren't the boarding gates locked at 10?"
"No, free on new year's eve."
"Who will you go home with? It was night, uh morning." Dita looked at Bella with a frown.
"Don't worry, Boss Ma'am. Kosku is in the same direction as Mas Candra's house. The new year must be crowded streets too."
"Thank God I was with Mas Candra. However you are a girl, if you go out at night the risk is high. I'm lucky there's a husband who takes care of you, well who are you?"
"There's God, Ta. Don't forget that."
"I know (i know). If there is a friend, it will be calmer. Are you close to Mas Candra?" tanya Dita is full of search.
"Yes very close too. Ordinary aja. Kan Mas Candra set my work hours," replied Bella.
"There's nothing ordinary, too, Bel. Candra is good. He's Mas Rendra's right hand here."
Bella turned to Dita. "What do you mean, Ta? You want to mate me with Mas Candra?"
"Yes, if you love each other and fit in, please. Or can Fariz be the same?"
Bella laughs. "Since when have you cared about other people's feelings and love stories?"
"Just now." Dita grimaced showing her neat and white rows of teeth.
"What's your condition, Ta? Completely recovered?"
"Yet. If it's recovered, I won't sit this sweet like you do, Bel. I know for myself how protective my husband is. Mas Fariz said, the employees even had time to be briefed as well as Mas Rendra so as not to make me tired."
"Sister Rendra loves and loves you Ta, so he is protective. About the briefing, I don't know. I never met Brother Rendra after you came home from the hospital. Just met you two today."
"Darling, his jacket was worn. The air is getting cold now." Suddenly Rendra came from behind them. He put a jacket over his wife's shoulder.
"Eh, there's Brother Rendra. You have a friend, Ta. I help my friends first yes let it finish quickly," said Bella after Rendra's arrival.
Dita nods her head as approval. Rendra sat down next to his wife.
"Honey, if you sleep first in the office. I'll wake up when it's all ready."
"No, Mas. My show so move to sleep dong then. I also took a long nap, after all," declined Dita. He then rested his head on Rendra's shoulder.
"Mas" he called slowly.
"What, Honey?" sahut Rendra holding his wife's hand.
"Can you reduce the feeling of jealousy?"
"No."
"Keep if there were any men who were familiar with me, would Mas behave like that again?" This time Dita looked up, looking at her husband's face.
"I'm jealous of any man close to you. Can't you?" Rendra looked into Dita's eyes.
"Jealous is fine, Mom. He said it was a sign of love. Who cannot be blind jealous. Remember that Mas had misunderstood Mr. Ervin because of blind jealousy."
"Jealous as it should be. Besides, Mr. Ervin has never teased me and has always been nice to me."
"Yes, I'm sorry about that. I've also apologized to Mr. Ervin. Honey, I'm sorry." Rendra cupped Dita's face. It felt like he wanted to kiss his wife's sweet lips, but he had to hold them in because they were in an open area and the employees could definitely see clearly.
"Yes, I'm sorry. But don't repeat it, Mommy."
"I promise, I'll try (i promise, I'll try it)."
"So more affection and love with Mas Rendra," said Dita with a smile.
"To yuk's office," asked Rendra with a seductive smile.
"Well? It's already starting to burn." Dita pointed to where the toaster already looked filled.
"I wanna kiss you (i want to kiss you)," she whispered successfully made Dita blush. Rendra got up from her seat and reached out, asking Dita to stand up. He held Dita's hand.
"Mas Candra, I'll go to the office first. Wife's cold. When I'm ready, I'll be notified" he said before leaving the cafe's side yard and entering his room.
