"Mas, it's late at night. When do you want to sleep?" tegur Dita who saw her husband was still busy typing in front of his notebook.
"Step, Honey. Any minute. This is mumpung again there is an idea in the head, if not immediately written fear of forgetting." Rendra remained focused on the front of the notebook screen, completely ignoring his wife.
"What time do you want, Mom?"
Rendra glanced at the bottom right corner of his notebook screen, the time showing at 23:00. "Half an hour, baby. If you sleep first."
"Are there in a half hour? I feel sorry, Mas. Later if I sleep first must be Mas until the morning finishes."
"It's not every day, honey. Please, yes! Let your husband stay up tonight. Let me finish the script quickly. If there's another gini idea, I can write it down quickly."
Dita took a long breath. "Oh yeah, I'll wait half an hour. Do I need to help you with the typing to finish quickly, Mas?"
"No, honey. Later on."
Dita is confused about what to do while waiting for Rendra. The college work is done all. Finally he took a tablet and checked the cafe's report online. Usually every weekend, he and Rendra come to the cafe to check in person. But because this week had to go home to Pak Wijaya, they did not have time to come to the cafe.
Ever since Candra was appointed as the manager of the cafe, they have been less and less frequent to the cafe. Moreover, Rendra is also focusing on working on the thesis. Rendra certainly handled directly when it was related to employee salaries or related to third-party contracts. The rest of Candra set it all up. If you need something to consult usually only by phone.
Thank God sales in cafes increased since held by Candra. Many innovations he did for the sake of the progress of the cafe. Promo on medsos is also more intensified. It's not wrong to make him a cafe manager.
After being satisfied to see the cafe report, Dita put the tablet on the nightstand. The clock on the tablet had shown at 23:45, but her husband was still seriously typing in front of the notebook.
He got up from his seat and walked over to Rendra. She stood behind the chair her husband occupied. He lowered his body and hugged his heart from behind.
"It's not over yet, is it?" he looked at the notebook screen.
"Eh .. not yet, dear. Still flowing this idea. Honey, sleep first when you're sleepy." Rendra stopped his fingers on the keyboard.
Dita shook her head. "No way."
"Darling, sit here." Rendra unraveled Dita's embrace and then guided his wife to sit on her lap.
Spoiled, Dita sat on Rendra's lap and leaned her head against her husband's chest.
"Darling, tomorrow morning lecture. Sleep first yes," persuaded Rendra while stroking his wife's hair.
Dita shook her head. "I want to sleep the same, Mom."
"But I'm not done yet, honey."
"I'm temenin." Dita starts sulking.
"Yes, sit down like this. I'll finish this first, just a few more pages." Rendra re-typed again.
"Not heavy, Mommy?"
"No, no, no doubt, at the most" joked Rendra.
"Yes, I'm going." Dita was about to rise but arrested Rendra.
"Where are you going? It's just here."
"Later to be sore."
"No. I'm kidding, honey. Just sit here sweet."
Although Rendra had a little trouble typing because Dita was on his lap, he kept his wife there. He felt sorry for his sleepy but forced wife to accompany him. Not wanting to disappoint his wife while working on his thesis, he did just that.
Before long, he felt Dita's breath slow and regular. Apparently, the only woman who had managed to steal his heart had already fallen asleep. He would wait a while before moving his wife over to the bed to make her sleep more comfortable.
To be honest he also felt guilty, as he now did not have much time for his wife. Although he always took the time to drop off and pick up Dita college, but the time to chat together was greatly reduced.
Usually after college, Dita takes a short break. After that he will do household chores such as washing clothes, ironing or cooking. If nothing is done, he will immediately do his college work. Even at night, they are usually busy with their work. Only together when going to sleep, that's also if none of them are overtime.
Like tonight, for example. Either because this afternoon to the beach the mind so fresh, the idea in his head flowed profusely. Inevitably he had to immediately write down whatever was in his head. The rare thing that happened was that he could write smoothly. Usually he just flips through reference books without knowing what to type. Now without a reference book, anything that had to be typed was already in his head.
Rendra stretched her hand slowly so as not to wake Dita up. He slowly got up from his seat, carried and laid Dita on the bed. He stroked his wife's head and kissed her forehead.
"I'm sorry, honey. Good night, beautiful dream. I love you" he whispered. He then covered his wife's body. After which, he returned to the front of the notebook to finish his typing.
Crings ... crings ... crings ....
Tahajud salat alarm sounds.
Rendra awoke from her sleep. Turns out he fell asleep on the desk. He turned off the alarm and closed his notebook. He can't remember until what time he typed, last checking at 01:00. He stretched his body before moving to the bathroom to pick up the wudu.
Finished, he approached his wife who was still sleeping soundly. "Darling, wakeup. Salat Tahajud yuk."
"Yes, Mas," replied Dita with a distinctive hoarse voice waking up. Slowly he opened his eyes, adjusting to the light in the room. After a while, he got up from his sleep.
"Well, what time was I sleeping?" tanya Dita while tying her hair.
"I don't know. I fell asleep at the table. Uh, can't be angry. I'll change it with a nap, okay. Now, honey, take your wudu first, I'll wait."
Without waiting for Dita's answer, Rendra got out of bed and prepared a prayer mat for the two of them. Dita immediately went to the bathroom to clean herself and took wudu. After that they prayed Tahajud.
"You want a tadarus or sleep while you're waiting for dawn?" ask Rendra after Tahajud prayer.
"Tadarus, Mas. Later even overslept and passed his dawn," replied Dita.
"okay." Rendra took two Qur'an, one for him and one for his wife.
"Honey, the first one is reading it," said Rendra when handing over the Qur'an to Dita.
"Yes, Mum." Dita received the Qur'an and then started to open and search the page where they last read it.
"Aβudzu billahi minasy syaithonir. Bismilbornrahmanirrahim's. Kaf Ha Ya 'Ain Sad. Thikru rahmati rabbika 'abdahu zakariyya ...."
They stopped reading the Qur'an when the morning of the morning. Rendra then went to the mosque, while Dita performed the Fajr prayer at home.
