Serabai Mr. Sean's

Serabai Mr. Sean's
Chapter 13

An hour passed, but Sean still did not see the trunk of his nose. Everyone started to get restless, especially the big family of Sri who was really expecting the presence of the man.

"Fix already, he's not coming!" Without feeling the clear circle was sliding from both corners of Sri's eyes. Sri cried without a sound and she was strong enough to withstand the tightness in her chest.

Meanwhile.

"It's been an hour and as I said earlier, I have to go now." Mr. Penghulu got up from his sitting position and then prepared to leave.

"Wait a minute, sir. Maybe soon the candidate will arrive," persuaded Gail with a face of weld. While Mang Udin and his family seemed to have resigned and just waited for a miracle.

"I'm sorry, sir. But I have promised the villagers next door to marry his son," replied Mr. Penghulu.

Mr. Penghulu walked out and approached his motorcycle parked in one corner of the yard. However, just as the middle-aged man was riding on the object, Sean's car suddenly arrived there and made everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

"Look, Sri! Sean has come." Lea hugged Sri's body while smiling full of haru.

"Oh my God, thank you." Not forgetting that Sri is grateful. He was so happy that Sean had kept his promise. Yes, even if the man came late.

Meanwhile, at the party yard.

"That's her groom-to-be!" pekik Gail with a big smile looked at Mang Udin.

Mang Udin took a deep breath and then exhaled. "Oh, thank goodness. I think he ...."

Mang Udin stopped his words. He rushed to Mr. Penghulu who was preparing to leave the wedding.

"Pak Penghulu, that would-be groom has come. Please continue, sir." Mang Udin pleaded while putting on a face of blemish. Hope the middle-aged man approves of the wish this time around.

Mr. Penghulu was forced to nod his head. "All right then. We should continue the show right now," said Mr. Penghulu.

Pak Penghulu returned to his position with Mang Udin. While Gail approached Sean who was just getting out of his car.

"Where have you been, Sean? Why isn't my phone picking up?" gail asked with a serious face looking at Sean.

"And my car suddenly leaked, Gail. I had to push it a few miles away. Imagine, there is not a single car repair shop there," he said as he tidied up the suit he was wearing.

"I hope you're not lying."

"Well, why would I lie?" ask Sean back.

"Because your face doesn't look like the one who just pushed the car up for miles" Gail chirped and walked ahead of Sean to the spot, where Mang Udin was, Pak Penghulu and others have been waiting for their arrival.

Sean was silent for a moment while stroking his nape. It wasn't that easy to lie to Gail.

Arriving at the event venue.

"Sit down, Sean's son." Mr. Penghulu invited Sean to sit in front of him. While others sit on the left and right side of Sean's body to watch the path of the kabul ijab.

"Thank you, sir. Sorry, I was late because it was on the road, suddenly my car tire leaked and I was forced to push it to find the nearest workshop" replied Sean.

"Well, why don't you ask Nak Gail for help? Didn't he call you?" asked Mang Udin in surprise.

"Ah, yes. We better start the show, son." Mang Udin was excited again.

A few minutes later.

"How are the witnesses? Right?" Mr. Penghulu turned left and right, making sure to the sakti that the kabul spoken by the groom is true and valid both religiously and legally.

"Well!" answer the witnesses simultaneously.

Everyone looked relieved. Especially Sri who is now calm with the change in status. Not forgetting he thanked God even so many times.

After the Ijab kabul event was finished, now the wedding party was resumed. Sean sat down with Sri on the magnificent lap while welcoming the guests who wanted to congratulate them.

Not only congratulate, the invited guests, most of whom are villagers, asked to take pictures with them. They feel proud to be able to take a selfie with Sean, a man of mixed blood who has blue irises.

"Thank you, Mr. Sean," said Sri slowly, after finishing greeting the invited guests.

Sean snorting. "Thank you for what?" ask her coldly, just like always.

"Thank you for keeping your promise" replied Sri, who still did not want to look at the handsome face of the man.

Sean smiled in anguish. "You really think I'm going to go and renege on my promise, don't you?"

Sri also smiled faintly. "Only you and God know it" answered Sri.

Sean was silent with a gaze still fixed on Sri.

Not felt, the afternoon was approaching. Nearly fifty percent of the invited guests had already returned to their respective residences, including Gail and Lea who had already returned to the city. While the other fifty percent still survive enjoying the rest of the party event.

Not only the invited guests, the newlyweds have returned to the room to rest. Sean took off the suit he had been wearing and placed it on the back of a wooden chair in front of the makeup mirror.

"I'm tired. I want to rest" said Sean then dropped himself on a new bed that Mang Udin had bought for them.

Sri who was still busy releasing accessories, immediately turned to look at Sean who had been squawking on the soft mattress. Both of his burly hands were placed under his head and used as pillows.

"Tomorrow we'll go back to town. I've prepared a house for us to live in together. But remember, this marriage is only we know and other people do not need to know about it," he continued with a gaze fixed on the ceiling of the room.

"Yes. Alright." Sri turned back and focused on her reflection in the mirror.

"And one more" Sean continued. However, this time Sri did not want to turn her head, just like before.

"There are two rooms in the house, one for me and one for you. So, don't expect us to sleep in the same room because I don't have any feelings for you at all."

Sri smiled thinly. "Whatever you want, Mr. Sean. Do whatever you think is right" Sri said.

Sean was silent and didn't want to chim in. He glanced at Sri for a few seconds, then again threw his gaze in the other direction.
