"Sri," called Lea while watching Sri who was still cool to enjoy her morning breakfast.
"Yes, Mommy?" sri replied with a full mouth while raising her head then looking towards Lea with a smile.
"How's your relationship with Sean? Is everything okay?" Suddenly Lea questioned it to him.
Sri smiled wryly while stroking her nape gently. "It's fine, Ma'am."
"Ehm, good then. I pray that your relationship will last until you become grandparents" Lea replied.
"Aamiin's." Sri then fell silent with a blank look staring at one corner of the room. Rice pecel which became the breakfast menu this time, even just stooped.
"Sri, what's wrong with you? Are you all right?" Lea was confused to see Sri's unusual reaction. Sri who was always cheerful, now suddenly became quiet.
Lea's call just made Sri aware of her daydream. He was shocked and answered his employer's call.
"Ehm, I'm sorry, Ms. Lea. I don't know why today I'm not focused" he replied with a smile.
"Sri, can I ask you again?"
"Ask what, Ma'am? Just ask, why must you ask first, like those who do not know me," Sri chuckled softly.
"Have you got this month?"
"What wallet, Ma'am?" Sri knitted her two eyebrows. He did not understand the question that Leah had just asked.
"Menstruation, dear." Lea gently stroked Sri's hand gently.
"Oh." Sri nodded slowly at the sign of understanding and then began to remember. "Just yesterday, Ma'am. This month has not been and should have been yesterday. What's the matter, Mother? How, wondering about that?" ask Sri back.
"I'm sorry, Sri. Have you bought a test pack? If not, we'd better buy it now, let's check it together." Lea explained.
Lea smiled wryly. "The problem is, you are like a man who is craving, Sri. Me and Gail even agree."
"If it's about this mango, indeed I've wanted it since a few weeks ago, Ma'am. You see, only mangoes in the garden owned by Mr. Gail that bear fruit very heavily, while other people's mangoes have not been fruitful," explained Sri, still trying to avoid.
Lea smiled wryly again. "Related, Sri?"
"Yes, Mother. I'm sure a hundred percent!" answer Sri steadily.
Sri remained silent for a while and this time her face became gloomy.
"I don't want to, Ma'am. Hope nothing happens to me. What should I do if what I fear comes true? While Mr. Sean will soon be ...." Sri stopped her speech while bowing her head to the floor.
"What's wrong with Sean, Sri? Tell me that. Who knows, then, your burden may be reduced a little, "persuade Lea.
Suddenly Sri sobbed. The half-living rice was not touched anymore.
"Don't until that happens, Ma'am. Because in a moment Mr. Sean will divorce me," he said softly.
"What, Sri? Divorced?" screeched Lea with perfectly rounded eyes.
"Bad Sean. He could think like that" Lea said.
Lea grabbed Sri's hand and then held her back. "I'll buy you a pregnancy test kit. I pray that you are truly pregnant, Sri. Let Sean not be able to give up his responsibilities to you" Lea continued.
"Don't, Ma. Please, don't pray like that. Mr. Sean never loved me. He already has a girlfriend and they are already planning to get married. Imagine if I was pregnant right now. Mr. Sean will probably hate me and my baby even more for ruining their wedding plans" Sri said with tears in her eyes.
Lea swallowed her saliva with great difficulty. He hugged Sri very tightly. "I promise I will never let Sean do anything unfair to you, Sri. Trust me," Lea said so seriously.
