Albirru stopped her steps hearing abi's voice calling out to her. He turned around and smiled at his parents.
With a slow step Albirru approached the table where her parents and Zahra were eating. Behind Albirru Zeya followed in her husband's footsteps.
Albirru looked nervous. He didn't expect to meet abi and ummi here. Albirru never thought her parents would find out about the marriage between her and Zeya so soon.
He touched the hands of his parents. Zahra's face was slightly pale. Zahra didn't think that Albirru would also have dinner at this restaurant.
"Abi Abi, Ummi."
"Waalaikumsalam ..." replied Abi and Ummi in unison.
"Sit down!" abi's orders.
Albirru sat in front of Abi and his ummi. Zeya chose to stand behind Albirru sitting down.
"Zahra yesterday said you work out of town. Whether the distance of a few kilometers has been said outside the city" said Abi in a flat voice.
"I'm sorry, Abi."
"Why apologize to Abi. You should apologize to Zahra. And who is this woman? Have you forgotten the religious teachings that Abi gave you?. Abi's voice had begun to rise. Ummi stroked abi's arm to ask him to calm down.
"Come, Ummi .. once again forgive me. I lied to Abi and Ummi."
"What do you mean, Al?" ummi.
"The woman with me is my wife" murmured Albirru softly.
The spoon in Abi's hand fell down to hear Albirru's words. So also Ummi seemed shocked by the confession of his son.
"Ummi don't understand what you're saying?"
"This is Zeya, the woman I married in series seven months ago."
Hearing Albirru's words Abi reflex's hand slapped his son's cheek.
"Abi ..." said Ummi shocked to see her husband's actions. Never once had he slapped Albirru since his son was born.
"You don't appreciate your abi and ummi anymore. You married a woman without the permission of your parents. Have you not considered us anymore" said Abi in a slightly loud voice.
Restaurant guests are careful about them. Albirru was still holding onto her heated cheek from the slap of her ashes.
"Abi, hold the emotion. Shame .. look at us as the center of attention," said Ummi.
"We talk at home. Now go with abi and ummi home. Zahra .. We go home. You don't worry, Abi will finish this."
"Well, abi," murmured Zahra.
Abi stood followed by Ummi and Zahra. He stood up and Albirru walked.
"You're with Al alone, Zahra" said Abi.
Zahra got into Albirru's car, while her parents got into their car.
Zeya stood looking at the departure of Albirru and her parents. He patted his chest which felt tight. Albirru again forgot about her existence.
Zeya's cry broke out at last. He can't hold it anymore.
"See Zeya. There's no more place for you in her. When there is a woman you are always forgotten. Do you still want to try to survive? Can you still fight? And is it worth a man like Albirru that you fight?" zeya said to himself.
Zeya walks towards a taxi. He came in and asked to be sent to where he had lived and worked.
Zey opened the door hesitantly. After thinking, he finally got off and paid the taxi fare.
Faint lights lit the streets leading to an entertainment complex for striped men.
Many eyes watched Zeya's movements in surprise, and Zeya also saw many unknown women. Maybe new workers.
"Mbak Zeya ..." The voice of someone called his name. Zeya turned her head, looking as Mira ran over and hugged her body.
"Mbak Zeya ... how are you?"
"Okay, how are you?"
"As you can see, I'm still like this. Where's my husband, Zeya. It must be nice to be married and live a decent life. Is there a guy who's gonna take me out of here someday?" mumbling Mira.
"Surely, you should not give up and give up. Later if one day there is already a halal business, you will take you away from this dirty work."
"Serious boy."
"Just pray, which aunt Angel?"
"There's in his house. Ma'am wants me to drop off. My guest is still half an hour away."
"Mdak can be alone. You must be sure and do not forget to keep praying, so that someday a miracle will come."
"Yes, mom. It must be happy if there is a man who loves and can accept our past" Mira murmured again.
Happy, yes I was happy when Mas Al took me away and married me. But it's all just for a minute. Either I was hoping too high or indeed Mas Al never really fought for me. It all felt like a dream and I was thrown into a reality unlike anything I could have imagined.
"Yes, mom. Pray I can be like mbak" said Mira.
"So I pray you get a man who is much better than your husband. And may you be happy always."
"Thank you, ma'am."
Zeya set his foot toward a house that was the last and largest among the existing houses.
From far away Zeya had seen Aunt Angel who was hugging a man.
"Good night, Auntie," said Zeya to make the woman turn her head.
"Amoru ...."
"How are you, Auntie."
"Who are you here with? Where's your husband?"
"I'm here myself, Auntie."
"Your husband knows he's not mad you're back here."
"Tante, does the room I used to occupy already have a occupant?" said Zeya.
"Yet, auntie still tidied up and cleaned the room. You go in first, auntie's coming."
"All right, Auntie."
Zeya stepped into the house that had once been a shelter from rain or heat.
"Who is it, new worker. I want the first one to taste" said the man.
"He was my son. I won't let a man like you hurt her. Go, you can come back here tomorrow. I will serve you until you are helpless."
After saying that Aunt Angel went into the house and saw a crying Zeya.
"Why you?"
"I want to work and live here again, Auntie," said Zeya.
"Aren't you double?"
"I'm tired, I'm tired. I won't fight anymore. Because I realized all this time that I was the only one fighting for him, but he never appreciated me at all. I want to let go of everything."
"Zeya, I don't know what you're doing with the other women who work for me. But I certainly love you. If I let go and let that man take you away, it's because I want you to be able to live a decent life in society. Don't be a piece of trash like me. Do you want to go back to being dirt after being taken and cleaned. Maybe now you have a problem with your husband. Don't follow your emotions. You will regret it later. I don't care if you're sure you're back, I'll take it."
Zeya sits opposite Aunt Angel. The crying broke again.
after so long together
you put him in the story
which only separates the wounds
I tried to hold back what I thought
although this is painful . . .
if it hurt me
it can make you happy
then do that
without you I'm sure I can
sincerely I love you
I'm sincerely losing you
may you be happy
with your choice
you're with him
I'm with prayer
(syllic song of love in prayer)
