Astuti Request

"So, all this time you never told our son that I was ...."

"For what?" cut Astuti. "Even if I tell Dirga the truth, he will only feel disappointed and inferior" said the widow of the two children. "Over this time, we can still live even though we are not in a condition that is struggling with property" he said again.

Sudiro's wife was surprised to find out that the guest in front of her was her husband's ex-wife. It seemed like leaving the living room was a good choice, as she just wanted to make room for the two to speak.

"Pa, I go in first yeah, I have to get ready before we go later." Sudiro's wife developed a meaningful smile as she said goodbye to Sudiro, "Mom, I stayed for a while, huh. Excuse me," said the woman while looking at Astuti. Positive thinking for this situation is very necessary for the peace of heart and mind.

"Also you shouldn't behave like that, Tut. After all, I am Dirga's real father. The man who should be responsible for all his needs materially," said Sudiro protested Astuti's attitude that has kept his existence secret all along. Of course this protest was uttered after Sudiro made sure his wife actually left from there.

"Materilously? Incredibly," quipped the woman with the ivory-yellow instant veil. She smiled bitterly when she heard the words of her ex-husband several decades ago.

"Yes, materially." Sudiro reaffirmed. "I can't do much for anything else. Even though my parents are gone now, I still can't bring you to this house. You know for yourself not if I already have a wife," Sudiro said as he stared fixedly at Astuti.

Astuti can see that too. Decades have passed, it is not his fault or Sudiro's fault if they really have to rebuild the household with others. After all, Astuti felt that there was no hope for him to be able to set foot into that magnificent building.

Astuti was too sick to accept undue treatment from someone he called in-laws. Sometimes, Astuti felt that the marriage that happened between him and Sudiro was indeed a mistake. However, one side of his heart says that he must get rid of such thoughts, because everything that happens in human life is by the will of the Creator.

"Yes already. After all, I came to see you not to ask for a right or ration how much material we should receive from you. I just wanted to ask for a little help," Astuti said after a moment of silence and thought.

"What help? Justsaytheword. Don't hesitate," said Sudiro looks enthusiastic.

"It's about Dirga" Astuti replied.

"What's wrong with Dirga? I promise to raise his position. He's my son, he'll definitely get the privilege. Moreover, the performance so far is also good," said Sudiro.

"No, no. It's not about work, but something much more personal. However, I don't know if it's appropriate or not to ask for help from you. To be honest, I felt so wrong" explained Astuti slowly. Every now and then, he looked inside Sudiro's magnificent building, "can we just talk outside? To be honest, I feel very sorry for your wife" Pinta Astuti.

"certain. Let's discuss this outside the house," Sudiro asked as he stood up from his place. They then sat on a chair on the porch of the house to continue the discussion about Dirga.

"Tell me what can I do for Dirga? Why haven't you told him that I'm his father?" Sudiro was still curious about Astuti's reasoning.

Astuti immediately shook his head in response to a question from the man he once loved. "I haven't told her anything yet. Whether I should start from where, I feel confused," Astuti said hesitantly.

"Then, what should I do for Dirga? I want him to know that I am his real father, but that too if you allow. I feel like I don't have the right to tell him directly."

"I'm afraid Dirga hasn't felt ready for this" Astuti said.

"Yes, but I'm not here to talk about it. I just want to say that Dirga is currently in a relationship with a girl. Her boyfriend comes from a family. I'm confused how to do it," said Astuti looked riled up.

Sudiro was silent for a moment. Not explained in detail, he was able to understand where the direction of the conversation of the woman he had once loved. Sudiro looked slow-mouthed. "I understand. You don't have to worry," he said convincingly.

"What are you gonna do?" ask Astuti.

"You trust me all, '" said Sudiro, still looking calm. "I must at any rate make up for the time that has passed between us. Accept it or not, Dirga must know that her father is still alive." Sudiro was silent for a moment. The man looked down. "I've been looking for you everywhere, but all I've done has been a failure. Until a few years since you left, I kept doing that," Sudiro said slowly.

"If you find me, too, it won't change anything. Suratan destiny takes us on our own path" Astuti responded.

"Yes. I try to live. Now I have two children. They have grown up" Sudiro explained with a smile on the corner of her lips.

"I'm glad to hear it" Astuti responded. However, the middle-aged woman seemed to be a little uncomfortable.

"If you want, go in again. You can get to know my wife further. She's a good woman" Sudiro bargained without the slightest burden.

"No. No need. I came here without any planning. Maybe next time, on a much better occasion," Astuti subtly refused.

Before their conversation continued, there appeared a black sedan car that was about to pass through the gate and into the courtyard of Sudiro's stately home. Astuti and Sudiro both turned to the luxury car.

Sudiro seemed silent for a while. He looked at someone in the car. After that, the middle-aged man with hair that had begun to mix gray then turned his attention to Astuti who looked uncomfortable.

Not long after, a young man with a neat look dressed in three-four sleeves came out from inside the black sedan car. His face was handsome with black glasses that made the appearance of the young man increasingly look dapper. He then walked towards the direction where Sudiro and Astuti were.

"Father," said the young man politely. "Why talk outside like this? Don't you want to go with Mom?" he asked without taking off the sunglasses he was wearing.

"Yes. Your mother is getting ready inside. Papa must accept the guest first," Sudiro replied as he directed his gaze to Astuti who was smiling softly at the young man.

"Yes, but why wasn't the guest invited in?" asked the young man again in wonder. He turned to Astuti, then nodded politely. "Again, I want to come in" he said later.

"Yes, it's okay. I will also be leaving soon" Astuti said in response. He intends to move on from the presence of Sudiro and his handsome son.

However, before Astuti actually passed from there, Sudiro first prevented. "Tut, introduce me first. He's my eldest son. His name is Reyhan."
