Something Beautiful

Something Beautiful
Chapter - 17

Early the next morning, Lisa stood in front of her bedroom window, looking out at the driveway. He saw a horse-drawn carriage approaching with lanterns twinkling in the darkness of dawn. "Rose!" his sigh ran out of the room, rushing down the third floor corridor.

Will opens the door just as Rose exits the horse-drawn carriage and runs up the front steps of the enormous mansion, her long red hair fluttering in the back, her arms full of multifaceted parcels, and her, his fingers gripped the edges of his hat. Upon arriving at the Roseanne terrace suddenly stopping his running and bending his legs in front of the aghast butler, the man was suspected of being an important person because his attitude was so haughty. Then in a pleading tone he said, "Please, sir, where is Lisa? Is he still alive?"

When the butler could only gawk, Roseanne turned to face the maid, bent her legs again, then asked, "Where is Lisa, sir? Please tell me!"

Lisa quickly went down the stairs and into the terrace. He immediately grabbed Roseanne along with all her bonnet parcels and hats. "Roseanne!" exclaims happily. "How happy I am that you have come."

In Mrs Kim's quiet, grave-like home, such a noisy welcome could be considered a furore that not only were the three maids drawn into the terrace, but also Mrs Kim and her eldest granddaughter.

In Morsham, Roseanne came from a humble family who did not know and did not care about manners, polite behavior, etiquette, or the judgment of people of a higher position, who never had contact with them. So, fortunately Roseanne for not knowing, and not caring at all, was being judged and laughed at by the inhabitants of the stratum, including the butlers and servants.

The girl doesn't care at all what they think, all she knows is that Lisa seems to be in trouble. "Oh Lisa!" roseanne exclaimed in an angry tone and threw her body towards Lisa. "I thought you were dying! Turns out you're in good health, even a little pale, which may be the result of living in this gloomy house inhabited by grim inhabitants." Almost not stopping to catch his breath, he excitedly continued, "In your letter you seemed so sad that Mama also decided to come, but could not because my papa was sick again. And that creepy coachman won't tell you anything, even though I begged him. He just stared at me from above his big nose and said, 'I'm sure I don't deserve to know.' Well now tell me this second too before I explode! Why are you exiled and what is the meaning of the terrible calamity you wrote in your letter, and who are these people!"

Behind them Mrs Kim said in a booming voice like a whip, "Miss Bruschweiler was exiled for going to marry the 'cheap' owner of the house, who happened to be my granddaughter."

Roseanne's mouth gaped and she spun towards Lisa. "Oh no!" Erangang, then his gaze with his gaze fearfully turned to Will, whom he suspected the owner of the house for wearing elegant black clothes. "Lisa, you can't marry that guy! I'm not letting you! Lisa, he's fat!"

Seeing the anger flaring up within her grandmother, Mingyu cleared her throat from her place on the doorstep across the corridor, where she watched the furore with a tingling annoyance. "Lisa, maybe your friend should be helped to put the parcels down and introduced well?"

Lisa jumped upon hearing Mingyu's heavy, deep voice. "Yes. Yeah, sure," he said quickly as Will stepped forward and took the parcels from Roseanne's two hands. "What the hell is inside that big package?" lisa asked in a whisper as Will turned around and started walking down the corridor.

"The medicine is made of animal innards and skins," Roseanne deliberately lied out loud, "which Mama made from all sorts of materials that could heal you."

Will's arms immediately extended forward, and the two girls tried to hold back the laughter, but Lisa's laughter soon disappeared as it came. He gripped Roseanne's elbow and squeezed it to warn her, then twisted her friend's body so they faced Mingyu and her grandmother. As soon as she saw Madam Kim's hardened face like Roseanne granite immediately stepped back, while Lisa nervously introduced.

Not minding Roseanne's stern greeting, the Madam immediately snapped at the girl with the question, "Ireland?" ask her with a disgust.

More confused than frightened, Roseanne nodded.

"I should have known" replied Mrs Kim bitterly, "And also catholic, surely?"

Roseanne nodded back.

Roseanne looked at the woman's departure, her beautiful face looking puzzled as she peeked at the woman from behind, then she turned to Lisa who introduced the tall man as Kim Mingyu.

So stunned to be able to speak, Roseanne looked at Lisa, her eyes widened. "A noble?" he whispered, ignoring the title owner who was waiting for him to bend his legs.

Lisa nodded, instantly realizing that inviting Roseanne here was an unwise act for the simple country girl.

"Real nobles?" roseanne asked as she whispered insistently, so frightened that she dared not look at Mingyu's face.

"Original," said Mingyu flatly. "Real nobles. Well, since we've all agreed on who I am, how about we guess who you are?"

Blushing to the red roots of her hair, Roseanne bent her legs, cleared her throat, then said, "Roseanne Park, sir. Uh. My Lord's. Your Majesty." He bent his legs again. "Whoever serves you, sir. Uh. My Lo's..."

"Your Grace alone is enough" Mingyu said.

"What?" roseanne was confused, her face reddened.

"I'll explain it above." whispered Lisa. Gathering his courage, he gazed doubtfully at Mingyu, who stood towering in the doorway like a dangerous giant god. Bigger than anything. Threatens. Strangely fun too. "If you allow me, Your Grace, I'll take Roseanne upstairs."

"Please" said Mingyu, and Lisa was somehow upset that the man thought they were both so cute like two puppies playing around in front of a stable.

As they walked through the sitting room, Mrs Kim's voice blared like a thunderclap, "Bend your legs!" the hardic.

The two girls immediately turned their bodies and simultaneously bent their legs towards the sitting room door.

"He's crazy, huh?" cetus Roseanne so they're just the two in Lisa's bedroom. His eyes widened with fear and offence, he looked around the luxurious room as if he thought Mrs Kim would appear like a ghost. "Is he always yelling at people with one word? Ireland! Catholic! Bend leg!" tyre Roseanne.

"This is indeed a sanatorium," Lisa agreed, her spontaneous laughter instantly stopping when she remembered her fate. "And I married them."

"But why?" whispered Roseanne, her innocent face seemed to hide a sense of anxiety. "Lisa, what happened to you? Just four days ago we were playing spears and laughing together, then you disappeared, and now the whole village is talking about you. My mom said I didn't have to listen to anything they said until I could talk to you directly, but the landlord's wife told the magistrate, who told me we shouldn't talk to you anymore. We have to cross the street if we see you coming and avoid you because now you're tainted."

Lisa had no idea she could feel as lonely and miserable as she had felt, but the news broke her heart so sad that she was powerless to protest. Everyone believed he had done a bad thing. The people he had known since infancy did not hesitate to excommunicate him, without wanting to hear the story from his side. Only Roseanne and her family still believed in her and waited for an explanation from her.
