Hearing the child's answer, for a moment made Darren speechless and envious of the attitude of his son who was so fond of Airin who had been with him since childhood, compared to him who did not know the existence of his own son.
"If papa how? Will Arka also be angry if papa is insulted by them?"
Although he knew that it was impossible, considering that he did not live or be with Arka since childhood, but Darren seemed to want to see his son's response about him being his biological father.
"Yes, Arka will also be angry, because Arka does not like Arka's parents to be insulted."
Darren smiled hearing that, feeling slightly happy and relieved. Gently stroking the top of the child's head, Darren put on a facial expression that endured his sadness when he saw the face of his son he had just met for the first time.
"Did Arka know it was papa?" Darren asked at their first meeting at the park.
Arka was silent and hesitated to say it.
"Yes." Yeah." He slowly answered a little.
"Oh yeah? But, how did Arka know that it was papa? It's it.." Darren looked heavy to continue his sentence. "Pa long time no see Arka." Further.
Arka who was sitting next to him was silent thinking about the answer he was about to issue.
"Because Arka saw papa in my mama's picture." Replied Arka then turned to her direction.
"Is he in my mom's picture?" He said a little surprised.
"Yes." Yeah." Replied Arka while nodding small.
Darren stared in amazement and was a little surprised when he heard the reason Arka could find himself only in a photo, especially the photo belonged to Airin.
So he kept my picture?
Darren must have been thinking about it, to make him think about Airin who still keeps photos of himself.
Does that mean he's been waiting for me all this time?
Darren's heart ached the more he thought about it, his guilt towards Airin grew so much that he was embarrassed to look him in the eye.
What should I do when I meet him?
His feelings were increasingly made to worry and anxiety, until the pain in the corner of his heart so disturbed him.
"Papa, will you leave again?"
Arka's call awakened her who was a little daydreaming of Airin.
"No, papa won't go again, so Arka won't have to worry about that." He said while stroking the cheek of the child.
In his lap, Arka looks a henchman and looks comfortable with him.
"Arka doesn't want to see papa go, does she?" He said again to Arka who is now in his lap.
"Yes", Arka nodded confirming.
"Papa will not leave Arka, but papa will have to go to work, because if papa does not return now, papa can be scolded by them."
"That's it." Arak's facial expression turned moody hearing Darren's reply.
"Later you will be able to see Arka again, because papa went only to work instead of leaving Arka." Said Darren trying to explain to Arka who looked moody and did not want him to leave.
Seeing his son who was so reluctant to go away, made his feelings a little happy because of it. A feeling that he could not explain in words because it was too happy. Though this was the first time the two had met officially, but Arka had already welcomed her with open feelings towards him.
....
"Papa didn't see Mama Arka, did mama not drive Arka today?" Ask Darren who did not see Airin's whereabouts and only saw Arka alone at school.
Darren only silently heard the explanation from Arka, but his expression was like understanding on Airin's busy life as a single parent.
"It's not easy taking care of a child alone." He felt a little guilty.
Although his son received it with open arms and welcomed it well, but Darren thought a little about Airin. Because it won't be easy for him to face Airin. Moreover, his mistake was too fatal to easily forgive himself.
Actually he had thought about it, and had prepared his heart and feelings if it really happened. When Airin does not want to forgive him or does not want to meet him again because of anger at him who just appeared, then maybe all he can do is resign and accept it.
"Are you not angry or hateful?"
"Arka was angry, because papa had made mama cry every night." Answer Arka honestly and with her plain face.
Honest answer from the child, make the corner of his heart full and feel stifled by it.
"Mama cries every night because of papa?" Ask the Ark.
"Yes, mom always cries every time she sees papa's picture." Honestly Arka told Darren.
Airin cried when she saw my picture?
Darren's increasingly being made guilty of Airin. His head suddenly felt pain as his past memories resurfaced.
"Papa why? Is papa sick?" Arka asked a little worried when she saw Darren groaning painfully at her head.
"Papa gapapa really, papa just..."
The sentence came to a halt when someone came and tried to call Arka's name. A voice that did not feel foreign in his ears.
"Arka."
The voice of someone calling out Arka's name, made Darren raise his face to stare at her who was currently as shocked as him.
Airin, who had just arrived, looked surprised to see her son with Darren, so close that she stood on each other.
"Mama." Arka who did not understand the feelings of her parents, called Airin cheerfully and rushed to run towards her who was currently petrified in surprise.
"That's why it's here, what.." Airin glanced for a moment at Darren who was currently standing facing the same direction as him. "Is the show done?" He said again, who now turned to look at the child.
"It is, ma. That same Arka papa has gone up on stage together." Answer Arka honestly and with a bright face.
Airin was wide in disbelief, his hand immediately closed his mouth which was so shocked to hear the words of his son. His body trembled as if responding to his shock at Arka who finally knew about his biological father.
"Who does Arka mean by papa?" With a slight tremble and an expression of disbelief, Airin seemed to be asking for an explanation from his son.
Arka saw the expression of her mother who actually looked unhappy when asking her, making her instantly speechless and glancing towards her father hesitated.
"Carcinium..."
"I told Arka about this." Darren, who had just been silent watching Airin with Arka, now opened his voice.
However, Airin did not respond to his words, and chose to ignore it by turning to look at his son's face.
"Arka's done, isn't the show?" Ask Arka and get a nod from her.
"All right, we're going home now." He said again to bring the child home.
"But, um,.." Arka seemed reluctant to go home with a slight glance towards Darren.
"Go home." Airin's words forced her son a little.
