Summer Night's Dream

Summer Night's Dream
Episode 24 - A Plan

Nara hasn't seen Ji-Ho in a week. He feels very self-inflicted. How not, let alone seeing and meeting Ji-Ho, hearing Ji-Ho's voice over the phone is rare. This week Ji-Ho is so busy that even sending a short message is grateful. Nara is also not happy to call first, she is afraid to interfere.

Be today, on the seventh day, he was so agitated that he could not sleep all night. Because he woke up too early - more precisely awake from 1 pm - he left early for school where he would do a presentation. Usually he will leave with other participants, use the subway at 8 am, or join the committee car if someone picks them up. But because at 7 he was ready, he told the other participants to go first, alone.

Nara was standing at the bus stop, about 100 meters from their home, waiting for the bus number that matched what was listed on the google maps as she searched for directions to the school she was going to. Yeah, I don't know why he felt like taking the bus today. Count learning and seek experience.

The girl confirmed the position of her hat, dispelling the sunlight that was high enough even though the day was still classified as morning. He stomps his feet, following Ji-Ho's music heard in both ears through earphones, while occasionally turning his head to the left to see if the bus has come. As he watched bus number 470 begin to appear in the distance, he got ready, grabbed his feet and began to put up a hand to wave at the bus to stop. He himself is not sure whether he needs to wave like that so that the bus stops or the bus will stop automatically according to the existing route. But just in case, he thought there was no harm in him waving.

Nara stepped in as the bus stopped in front of her. Attach a transportation card on the scanning at the front pole of the entrance then walk inside and choose a second seat from the back, right next to the window. Nara likes to take a place beside the window, for some reason she likes to daydream while looking at the situation behind the glass. It felt calm and his mind became calmer. Maybe it's because his mind isn't focused on one problem, but drifts around depending on what he sees out there.

At the fourth bus stop, Nara starts sticking her cheeks in the window. Feels warm. The trip to the place he was referring to, Dwight School Seoul takes quite a long time, about 30 minutes by bus and there are about 20 stops. Every now and then he checks the maps on his phone just to make sure he doesn't miss his stops.

Fifth stop, he glanced back out the window. The bus stopped for quite a while, unlike at the previous stop, as there were a lot of people riding. The bus started to fill up and he started to feel bad. He quickly took 1 tablet from the medicine box in the bag and drank it.

He has to focus his attention on something else out there, he thought. And that was when his eyes caught the sight. The view of the bus that stopped at the opposite bus stop was clearly visible from the window where he was sitting at the moment. The bus's body displayed a sportswear advertisement, and the models were...Ji-ho's.

On the body of the bus, Ji-Ho puts on a smileless look with both hands holding the neck of the black parachute jacket he is wearing. With a short dark brown haircut, he looked handsome. Very handsome, until Nara subconsciously turned her body and placed her palms on the window, stunned.

Just now Nara was about to blink, moistening her eyes that felt dry as it widened for quite a while, the bus moved. Drove away from the stop and away from her visibility. Nara had to turn her body until her body was attached to the back of the chair, following the motion of the bus, which was away.

Nara sighed softly. His mind has been distracted, no longer thinking about his bus starting to fill up, but the severity of his mind being distracted misses Ji-Ho. I don't know which is better, but both of them make her chest tight.

There was no reason to look back, Nara fixed her sitting position. Her hand taps on her phone screen, returning to play Ji-Ho from her music playlist. Suddenly his phone rang. Display the name of the person he or she currently really wants to meet.

"Hello," Nara immediately received the call before a second ring was heard.

"What meda?" ji-ho's voice is heard across the street. Slowly and felt like he was smiling when he said that.

"On the way to school," answered Nara, also smiling.

Momentary silence. Maybe Ji-Ho was looking at the clock or the time marker on her phone, because after that she asked, "Not too fast? Don't you usually leave at 8?"

Nara nodded even though she knew she could not be seen. "Yes, I woke up too early, because it went first,"

"Where's the schedule today?" ji-ho asks again, set in a piano voice that is played repeatedly on the same scale. There were also two men in Korean speaking to each other. Then the sound of squeaking wheeled chairs that move to move places.

Nara looked out the window. He smiled when there was nothing interesting out there. I don't know why. She feels happy just with Ji-Ho asking her whereabouts. But if you want to think it is not so special. "Hm. at Dwight School Seoul. If it's not wrong, it's,"

"Dwights?" it seems like Ji-Ho is trying to remember something. "Dwight School's on the map, right?" guess it.

"Yes, right,"

"Then you're gonna get off the DMC High Tech bus stop?" guess Ji-Ho again.

But Nara could not remember the name of the bus stop where she was going down. He only relies on the map application on his phone and follows the point that runs in the map application. So he said, "Wait a minute," and then wanted to change the screen on his phone from the incoming call to the map application he used.

"You took bus 470, right?" without waiting for Nara's answer in the first question, Ji-Ho again asks.

"Yes," Nara's answer he meant for the first and second questions. He had already seen on the map, it was true that the destination of his stop was the DMC High Tech bus stop, from there he would walk about 20 meters to the Dwight school. The moving point on his phone shows only a third of the trip left. It seems like in a few minutes he will arrive.

"Then that's true" this time Ji-Ho muttered to herself.

Nara frowned. The voice of the man across the phone was faint and not so clear. He thinks he heard wrong. "really? Right what?"

"Ah, no," Ji-Ho seemed to wake up. "Oh yeah, I have to go now, I have something to do. See you,"

Not until 10 minutes passed, the point on the map application on Nara's phone was almost near its destination point. Nara quickly grabbed the nearest stop button and pressed it, as a signal for the bus driver to stop in his bus stop lane. Nara put her phone and earphones into the bag so as not to fall down as she came down later, then started to stand up and walk towards the exit and stand waiting right in front of her.

Soon, the bus stopped perfectly. Automatic door opens immediately. With his head bowed and his hands pressed against the sling of the bag on his shoulder, he stepped down the steps of the bus. On the last rung of the stairs, he raised his head and his gaze immediately fell on a man with a black hat who stood leaning on the pole of the bus stop. His body was instantly stiff and he did not move from his position. He didn't see it wrong, did he?

Tin!! The sound of the horn of the bus driver immediately resuscitated Nara and he hurriedly stepped out of the bus. The automatic door behind him closed and the bus drove away. The man in front of him now raised his face and answered his guess earlier. He did not see wrong. That guy is Ji-Ho.

Casually the man grinned displaying his neat white teeth. While Nara frantically pulls Ji-Ho's hand away from the stop. Sometimes he turned around to see if anyone was paying attention to them. Fortunately, the stop was not crowded. There were only a few people waiting for the bus and were busy with their own phones.

"Ji-Ho, what are you doing here?" nara asked in a hissing voice as she felt that things were safe. They were standing under a tree not far from the stop.

"My studio is not far from here," Ji-Ho pointed behind his back. "I thought I'd see you first, even if it could only be for a moment. We haven't seen each other in a long time,"

"It's only been a week" Nara argued. But in his heart he thought the same. Been a long time.

"Sunday is long," Ji-Ho whispered softly while clutching her nape awkwardly.

Nara no longer denied. He's happy to see Ji-Ho like this. He is happy Ji-Ho came to him. He is happy Ji-Ho thinks the same way as him. He was happy until it felt like he wanted to jump in his place right then and there. He was happy to the point that the corner of his lips remained raised even though he had held it.

"Because I've seen you, I'm relieved" Ji-Ho smiled gently.

Nara also smiled, inwardly, yes I am too.

Suddenly the ringing of the phone startled the two of them who were smiling back at each other. Ji-Ho's cell phone. "Basic! Though I was only out for a moment," he growled before receiving a call on his phone.

"Ney? Ne~ Arasseoy... Oh, Jankamman... Arasseo, arasseo.mdn...aniya,"

Nara watches carefully the face of Ji-Ho who is receiving the phone call. His face was tangled like he had just woken up, or had not even slept? What was clear was that the man before him had not yet taken a bath. His eyes were sunken, seemingly lacking in sleep. On his chin and around his lips were imprinted fine hairs, meaning that he had not shaved in a few days. Is it possible that Ji-Ho has never been back to the apartment?

"O, kuno!" Ji-Ho ends the call on her phone and looks at Nara. "I'm sorry I have to go back to the studio, I still have something to do" she said with guilt in her eyes.

Nara nodded. He understands Ji-Ho must be busy. After thinking about it, after looking at Ji-Ho's face well, he prefers Ji-Ho to rest if he has free time instead of going to see her. "Yes, see you,"

Ji-Ho nodded. Nara thought Ji-Ho would turn away immediately, but what she did next was beyond her expectations. Suddenly Ji-Ho pulls him into a hug.

Ji-Ho clenches her arms, unaware that the face of the person in her arms is red with her mouth open. He focused his chin on the top of Nara's head and then whispered. "I'm sorry, but I need to recharge my energy," after which he smiled and let go of his embrace. "Annyeong,"

Ji-Ho chuckles at Nara's face which is still on the verge of consciousness. The girl was still too shocked. With nothing left to say, Ji-Ho scrambles Nara's hair slowly, then steps away.

But just a few steps away, Ji-Ho turns around. "Ainara! How about we go on a date tomorrow?" her screams made Nara blink her eyes and return to consciousness.

"Tomorrow?" Nara squinted her eyes. Ji-Ho's position now that the scorching sun was shining made her unfocused on seeing. "It seems like you better take a break, you're gonna be tired,"

"Just calm. My schedule ends this afternoon. I can rest the night and go on a date with you tomorrow,"

Nara did not answer. He still feels Ji-Ho needs more rest.

"Pick up tomorrow yes, 8 o'clock," Ji-Ho finalizes her words by waving and running small away away.

Yes, then tomorrow at 8. Nara will not want to finally accept.
