The Another Soul

The Another Soul
Ch. 11

After my meeting with Ankaa, I still continued my morning run around the stadium.

But I didn't think there were two people I knew in this place.

"What are you doing here?"

I asked two people who were eating chicken porridge and hodgepodge.

"Eat."

"That's what I know, Fahrez."

Yes, the ones in front of me right now are Fahrez and Rakka. They sit on red chairs usually found in street-side street stalls.

The styles of both changed. Fahrez, who previously wore a black leather jacket, now only uses a V-neck gray t-shirt, and black jeans. Her hair she tied partially, and she was eating chicken porridge.

As for Rakka, she wears a maroon shirt and white pants, her white hair she ties a ponytail. Rakka ate a hodgepodge with her eyes staring at me.

Please remind me that Rakka is a man.

"Sergio.kraukk... Want to eat?"

Rakka asked while eating crackers.

"You guys paid?"

They both nodded in unison.

"okay, Bang! Hot tea with each other!"

"Ready!"

The brother who sold the hodgepodge replied to me. Then I walked towards the two of them. Rakka swiftly pulled the chair and she placed it in the middle.

"Thank you."

Rakka nodded.

I sat down, then just looked down at the road. The highway is still quite quiet because it is still half seven. Not many people have started their activities.

"You seem to think of something. What's up?"

I looked towards Fahrez. He still ate half the chicken porridge left.

"You know, I just met a star."

"Star?"

I looked at Rakka.

"Yes, stars. Her name is Ankaa, from the constellation Phoenix."

I looked back at the highway.

"Oh stars, they do exist. But, it's rarely seen now."

Fahrez said while eating chicken porridge.

"You're great to meet a descending star."

Rakka continued. "In our world, meeting a descending star is a great fortune. There are even various kinds of stories about stars."

"So I'm gonna get lucky?"

"It could be yes and it could not be" Fahrez said.

"You mean?"

"Yes, the constellations have their own legends. You said you just met a star named Ankaa. And he's from the constellation Phoenix." Fahrez ate a mouthful of chicken porridge before continuing.

With his mouth full, Fahrez asked.

"By the way, you know Phoenix?"

"Phoenixes? I just know oh, thank you bang."

My answer was cut short when my Gado-gado came along with the warm tea.

"Explain what you know" Rakka said.

I ate a mouthful of ketupat covered in peanut sauce before replying. "Hm... The phoenix is a bird enveloped by fire, its feathers golden red. From what I've heard, the Phoenix can't die. He's immortal."

Rakka nodded. "You're right, but something's wrong."

"I mean."

"He is indeed immortal, but at the same time the Phoenix can die as well."

I frowned, confused.

"I've fought the Phoenix, against it I felt like I was going to die right then and there" Fahrez said.

"That's great?"

Fahrez nodded. "But in the end I won. Phoenix's weakness is in the fire."

"Fahrez's right. The Phoenix Fire is the fire of life. The fire of life was given by the sun god. God Ra."

"But I don't think this fire is easy to put out."

Fahrez praised, justifying my words.

"It's true, but I have my own way."

"Oh."

"Yeah.... If you want to know more, just ask from the source."

"the source? Are you asking me to ask God Ra?"

"Why not?"

"Haha..... Rakka, you're kidding."

I laughed at his words.

Rakka who saw my response just shrugged her shoulders up. "If you don't believe, you already have. Though Fahrez also comes from a legend."

"I'm only half. Don't compare myself to a Phoenix who has pure blood."

"....."

"Back to the stars" I said.

"Oh, since you just met Ankaa, maybe your luck is eternity."

"Eternality? Is it in this world?"

Fahrez who heard me shake his head. "There is nothing in the world, but there is of course. Some even live for thousands of years."

"....."

"Oh, aren't you thousands of years old" Rakka said.

"Shut up."

"Haha.... You are always sensitive when it comes to age. So Sergio, do you understand."

I scratched my head that wasn't itchy. "Yeah... I guess."

Rakka sighed. He drank water in the bottle before he stood up.

"I'm done, I'll pay."

Fahrez nodded.

After that Rakka went to pay for our food.

"But something confused me."

"What makes you confused?"

I looked at Fahrez. "No. Its alright. Maybe I'm just dizzy thinking about what's been going on all this time."

I stared at my hodgepodge who lived half that. Suddenly my appetite was gone.

"Huh. You're just thinking too much" Fahrez suddenly stroked my head. "What you have to do now is. Accept the situation."

I looked at Fahrez. "So I have to accept my situation?"

Fahrez nodded. "You know. When I first saw you. I feel like you'll be just like everyone else."

I saw a sad expression on Fahrez's face.

"But no. You are different from the others, and I'm glad you're alive, and you seem to accept your situation. Even though it looks difficult. And I know, you're angry. Though invisible, but in your heart. You're angry."

"....."

"Sergio, forgive us both for forcing you into this kind of situation."

Fahrez said that while bowing his head.

I who saw him let out a rough breath.

"Not you two. But another soul is inside me."

Fahrez raised his head and looked at me with a surprised expression.

"If this soul does not exist, then my life will be normal. If these souls don't exist I won't meet you both."

"Sergi-"

"BUT! If this soul is not in me. I will be alone in this world. I am grateful to have met you both. I'm glad someone finally took me out of this world.  A world where I just.... Alone."

I stared blankly at Fahrez's face. What I said is the truth. If the two of them don't come, I don't know what will happen.

'Don't believe them both.'

Suddenly Ankaa's words were stirred in my head.

No. gabe. Sergio, believe in yourself.

"Sergio."

I looked at Rakka, she was done paying like. He looked at me with a hard look.

"thank you. Thank you for trusting us."

I don't know what to say. But-but

"Together."

Yep. I have to answer it. This is the first time I have expressed my thoughts so far. Ankaa said I should never trust them both. But I live this life, I'm free to trust anyone.

But, Ankaa's words continued to rage in my head.

Never mind. I can only rely on myself in the future.
