Cliche Beginning

I was on my way home from my daily archery practice and while walking, I decided to become a master idiot and cross the street without looking. You can probably guess what happened as soon as I was hit by a truck.

After being hit by everyone-kun's favorite reincarnator truck, I woke up in a black void with a strange old man standing before me.

I tried to look around but noticed that I could somehow see everything in small circles with me as fingers. In the center of the circle was a small glowing white fragment of something that I could only consider my soul or something like that.

The old man kept watching me while stroking his beard.

Eventually I got tired of just staring at him stroking his beard, so I tried to talk but since I really had no body or anything, no words came out. However, what happened was that a glimmer of my soul shone a little brighter.

After seeing this, the old man finally stopped what he was doing.
