The Atrocious Duke'S Wife

The Atrocious Duke'S Wife
{Season 2} Water Problems

Previousley....

The straight blond girly man just silently absorbed and understood all the explanations given by his father.

"Even their water quality is very low, so they established a massive business with Viscount la Devoline which is famous for its area that has a very good and clear water quality" said his father.

Silence had ambushed and approached them, but before long in return for the explanation had become the payment of all silence.

"All right, Dad."

From then on, this train was unceasingly walking and moving. Likewise with my view that continues to run following the flow of the river that is not clear.

This is really weird. In father's territory, our water is still very clear and not dirty in the slightest. Is it because this is a mining area so the water is affected by the soil quality here?

But the Marquess Thrones said that they had been in business with dad for a long time, it meant that the water was fine.

Again, my eyes could not escape and my eyelids did not allow me to blink.

In an instant, I decided to get off the train so I instructed him to stop and drop me off.

I dropped my high heels on my feet, smelling the ground that was my footing.

"Lady, would you like to see the river closer?" asked a servant who was ordered to accompany me as long as I tried to find a solution to this problem.

"Yes" I answered and then he let me approach the river.

This is really bad. It turns out that the old man (Marquess Thrones) did not lie, the water was very murky. The color is brownish and not worth consuming unless filtered first.

But what in this age is there a tool or technique to filter water?

I was not as skilled and genius as it was to create such a device in a very short time.

If I were to explain it in detail, they would not believe the words of a spoiled noble girl according to them.

I extended my hand to hold the pile of brownish water while observing the texture, color, and smell.

When it was done, my netra went back to the right and to the left. There is not a single sign of a strange object that is likely to cause all these problems.

"Does this river flow in the mining area?" my many.

I'm sure it all started in that mine. The mining is what causes the water to become cloudy like this.

Although I'm not sure what the cause is.

"Yes, Lady. This river flows almost throughout the Marquess region, so the residents always use the water from this river to meet their needs," he explained to make me nod.

If so, there's only one more place I should go. I think I should move somewhere else.

"Can you take me to a mining site in the region?" my door sounds more like an order.

The waiter placed his hand on his left chest while looking down respectfully at me.

"All right, Lady."

...~•~...

A man who was carrying out an order was now jumping out of the carriage that had driven him all the way from his territory to this location.

A stiff suit of clothes stuck on his body. A long-sleeved white shirt wrapped in a vest, then lined with a robe that reaches a deep red calf makes it look even more charismatic.

Long black pants that wrap the entire surface of his feet, and pantofel shoes become a complement.

He uncovers the strands of his straight hair that cover his forehead and block his vision and then circulates his peeping gaze all over the place.

A large residence became the initial sight for him entering the territory.

Before long, he immediately walked over with the aura of a high-class noble heading into the courtyard of the residence.

The maidservants and men greeted her in, not forgetting the reverential adulation.

"My Lord, let me serve you with all your purpose here. Do you want to meet with the Lord Marquess?"

The man indeed had time to send a letter to the person he would invite to negotiate that he would visit here.

A slow nod becomes the answer. Because he understood, the waiter looked down again and opened the path of the blonde man to follow him.

After the departure of the man who had snatched away the noise, the female servants now finally gathered and took out compliments and whispers from their lips.

"I thought the rumors were just nonsense, but who would have thought that the son of Duke Floniouse was so handsome!"

"really right? I just didn't expect. He's even more handsome than rumored."

"Ah irony. Who will be his wife and the Duchess of Floniouse?"

"It's definitely the noble lady who has the same status as him. Or maybe it's just a princess from another kingdom."

So that there were almost hundreds of words intended for the sky blue sliced man. I don't know what was described for him, which surely the man wouldn't care.

...~•~...

In a forest far from her home, a girl was sitting quietly under a shady tree.

It had become a habit for the girl to go to a quiet and quiet place in an effort to calm her mind.

The sky is a little cloudy, which makes the temperature cooler and cooler. Then, the girl rubbed her arms to warm her body.

He did not expect that the weather would change so soon. Even though when he came out of the house a few hours ago, the sun still stings the skin.

Without thinking, it turns out that a cloth was thrown at him suddenly making the girl turn wide.

He immediately turned his head and saw the perpetrator who threw the warm cloth.

When he found out who he was, he immediately stood up and bowed respectfully. "Greetings, Your Grace. What are you doing here?" her sap widened her dress skirt.

The man whom the girl greeted just sat down then leaned against the broad and strong trunk of the tree.

"Sit down" he said, making the girl obey him. "Don't I just tell you to call my name?" he's a little upset.

"I'm sorry, I'm used to calling you like this, Your Majesty." The girl suddenly shut her mouth as she spoke the call again.

"That's it, there's no end if it goes on like this," the man's resignation made the girl chuckle.

"I'm sorry, Yang--"

The man immediately silenced the lips of the girl next to him using the back of his hand.

Again, the pangs sounded from the lips of the green-tinted woman. However, the man did not smile or feel happy. Because he knew, the girl's naughtiness was forcefully expelled.

He covered the girl's body with a cloth that he had thrown and said. "You got a problem, don't you?" the canal.

The girl was semoa stunned for a moment, but before long from that the blandest curdiness loomed from her lips. "What did you say? I'm the same as always-"

"Don't lie to me, Anastasia. I hate liars" the cynical black-spirited man.

Suddenly the girl turned her eyes away with a furrowed eyebrow. His lips folded, indicating that he was agitated.

"S-I really don't-it's okay," his stutter tried to break eye contact with the figure beside him.

His hand stretched out toward the girl's face, and his finger now slipped a pinch of mane straight behind the girl's earlobe.

The little-nosed woman was a little surprised at the sudden treatment of the figure beside her. For some reason, suddenly his heartbeat drove a little.

What's the matter? He doesn't usually act strange like this. Even his face was slightly heated.

"What's wrong?" Finally a voice could awaken him from the solution of his mind.

"Ah, it's nothing!" reply the girl quickly while waving her hands in front of her chest.

A pull raised the man's eyebrows upwards, a sign of confusion with the actions of the woman next door.

When he woke up, the girl was finally back down so that her stricken hair fell over her face.

"S-actually, I've been feeling a little confused and weird lately" she half-whispered.

But the man could still clearly hear what the figure right next to him was saying. He just kept quiet, allowing the girl to talk more about the things she had hidden.

"I always get annoyed when I see my two close friends. I feel alienated and considered like a bully between the two of them" he explained.

"They both look so affectionate, that I feel my emotions soaring high just looking at them."

"Did you like one of your best friends?" ask the man.

"Yes, I've loved it for a long time.  Because he was the man who became my childhood friend."

"Then, your other friend isn't your childhood best friend?"

"She's a woman who's been nice to me recently. I like her because she's like a big sister to me."

"Then what do you think they seem to like each other?"

The girl was silent. She was a little confused, did her two best friends really look like that?

"Eitherway. I think so," he hesitated.

The man looked staring with this fellow figure beside him. Not long after that, he spoke again.

"Do you feel that your heartbeat beats faster than usual when you're around a friend you like? Are you happy if she is happy too? Do you feel like you're willing to do anything for her?"

The question could only make the girl silent. He couldn't answer not knowing what it was because of.

Maybe because there is no answer to that question.

"If the best friend you like likes likes another woman, what would you do?" the man asked back.

The girl was stunned. His eyes were glared, with his eyebrows constantly furrowing.

"S-i...."

Silence seemed to wait for the answer of the girl who was being struck by doubt. His mind was completely raging, as if there were no more gaps to think.

"Of course I'm gonna make him come back to like me, no matter what," he said.

The man just watched in silence.

"I'll make him like me no matter what," he added. He continued to stare straight ahead, not caring about the man next to him who kept staring at him.

"Anastasia," call the man.

The girl immediately faced the figure beside her when her name was called.

A deep gaze was cast by the man, and the words he uttered next made the girl seem to be pierced by a spear.

"That taste of your tribe is not love, but obsession."

...~•~...

"The sun has set, Lady. Have you found a solution to this problem?"

A room filled with gripping atmosphere, became a place for Cassandra to sit and express her answer.

Marquess Thrones had been sitting with her legs crossed and her arms folded in front of her chest.

Cassandra breathed for a moment then looked for a comfortable sitting position. Before long, a few words sounded from his lips.

"For the first time, I would like to ask, My Lord. Does your mine have a lot of rocks and gems in it?" tanyakanya.

"Of course," Marquess Thrones replied straightforwardly.

"Then, have you ever gotten a rock that you thought was worthless?"

There was a look of annoyance on Marquess Thrones' face, so the man immediately replied. "I don't have time to answer all your bullshit questions, Lady," he said.

Cassandra smiled knot. "Can you just answer my question, My Lord?"

Marquess Thrones breathed a rough sigh. "Yes, we often get those worthless rocks. Then?"

"Did you throw the worthless rocks into the river?" tera Cassandra made Marquess Thrones a little surprised.

But the man tried to hide it and was as calm and intimidating as ever.

"Yes. What if so? Ordinary rocks won't pollute a river, will they?" cynically.

"Every ordinary rock will not pollute a river. But it's different if it's coal" said Cassandra.

"Marquesses. Lately you get black colored rocks from your mining activities, right? Then you throw the rocks all over into the river?" ask the girl on target.

Marquess Thrones flinched, how could the girl know? Did the people in the mine tell him?

But that was impossible, because he had ordered not to tell anything about the mining he was doing in his territory.

"It seems I was right. That means, that this whole matter is the result of your own actions. You yourself are polluting the waters in your area" Cassandra asserted calmly.

Of course, Marquess Thrones felt the wrath she made, because suddenly this little girl before him accused him.

"Whatchu mean? It's not enough you guys are not responsible with your business, now instead accuse me?! What kind of humiliation is this?!" the sergeant disagrees.

"Coal? What nonsense are you talking about, Lady?! It was just ordinary rocks. I'm calling you here is to provide a solution, instead of giving you nonsense," the hardened man of that age.

Cassandra looked tired.  "For that, you should have to lift all the coal you throw into the river, then I will try my best to clear back the water that has been turbid," he explained at length.

"Why should I bother doing that?"

"God is this guy really crazy?! If he didn't want to, who would do it?! You think I can transport all the coal in that river?!" in the heart.

How not? From the wrong start here is the Marquess herself and herself trying to help. And now, the Marquess was acting so pretentious!

The brown-robed girl's emotions had already reached the crown, but she quickly tried to lower it down and act calm.

"My Lord, please help cooperation-"

"It looks like there's a big problem here."

All of a sudden her speech was cut off when the girl heard the voice of a very familiar man in her hearing. No, he's very familiar.

He was facing backwards, and Marquess Thrones looked extremely shocked by the presence of a figure in the doorway.

"Lord Arlen?!"
