TBM CHAPTER 49 - Misunderstanding

Early in the morning when Irene woke up, she did not find Jullian beside her even though she clearly remembered the night they slept together.

Irene then ran out of the room and looked for Jullian but did not find the man.

"Where's Jullian?" muttered Irene who was back feeling disappointed. Though he used to be ordinary when Jullian went away at will but now different, Irene felt lost if Jullian was far from her.

Irene tried to understand, it was better for her to prepare for Chade's school needs. Irene started cooking for breakfast and supplies Chade.

"It's fragrant" said Chade who just woke up and smelled the aroma of Irene's cooking.

"Away awake?" Irene asked with a smile. "Sister's done soon, after that you'll have to take a shower and get ready for school!"

Chade nodded his head and waited for Irene at the dining table. At the time that Irene's fairy tale book was on the table, the girl indeed took her out of Jullian's room.

"Wow, mermaid!" chade exclaimed as he opened the fairy tale book.

"You must be good at reading, right? You must love the story!" scold Irene who saw Chade from the kitchen.

Chade shakes. "I've read mermaid stories at school and don't like her stories!"

"Why?" Irene gets close to Chade because she doesn't believe the boy's words when the story is good. "The mermaid has managed to change her life's destiny, I even want to be like a mermaid!"

"Sister Irene wants to die?" ask Chade who knows the mermaid's true story.

"Dead?" ask Irene back.

"Isn't the end of the mermaid story death? The mermaid drowned herself in the ocean and froze at seeing the prince marry another woman" Chade said, shaking her head.

"You must be lying!"

"But that's the story I read! It's better for Sister Irene to read the full story in my school library because the book she had was incomplete and ripped in the back!"

It seems Chade's idea isn't bad, Irene wants to make sure of it herself.

Irene escorts Chade's school aided by the men Jullian ordered to look after them. If Irene would usually take a walk to the park while waiting for Chade to go home from school, today she wants to go to the library to read a complete mermaid fairy tale book.

Luckily the library was opened to the public.

"This is it" Irene said as she managed to find what she was looking for. Irene immediately opened the fairy tale book in the ending, Irene read carefully.

Unknowingly Irene's tears trickled down because Chade's version of the story was true.

"Jullian lied to me!" irene was disappointed.

At school, Irene invites Chade to go to the mall because she wants to make her mood cheerful again.

He got a recommendation from Jullian's men if the rides in the mall would definitely make Irene's mood improve again.

"You must have played here a lot, right?" Irene asked Chade when they arrived.

"I rarely play in malls" Chade replied with a lowered head. The boy remembered Clara's treatment of him.

"Don't be sad, we'll play together!" persuade Irene by holding Chade's hand to enter the mall.

Actually this is Irene's first experience to go alone to the mall without Jullian, she was a bit afraid if she made a mistake but Irene tried to brave herself.

But something unexpected happens when Irene walks into a mall and searches for rides. Irene sees Jullian with Chloe there, and Chloe's crazy embrace Jullian affectionately.

"Why is Jullian's uncle with Chloe's aunty?" chade asked who was looking at Irene.

Irene was unable to answer because she felt her fate was the same as that of a mermaid.

"Jullian will throw me away!" Irene Pilu said.
