TBM CHAPTER 57 - Keiner's Threat
Keiner and Juvel slept together hugging each other. Equally as Juvel heard the door of her room being knocked, Juvel immediately opened her eyes and distanced Keiner's hand that was hugging her stomach.
"Who?" murmured Juvel as she grabbed her robe and put it on.
When Juvel opens the door it turns out that the mansion's butler is knocking to wake Juvel up because Jullian is looking for her.
"Last night like this Jullian was looking for me?" asked Juvel who immediately rushed to see his brother. There must be something wrong.
Jullian sat on the sofa with a gun in his hand.
"Julian!" call Juvel who makes Jullian stand up and hug his sister.
"What's happen?" Juvel was confused on her own. "Are you okay?"
"not okay. Irene.." -..." Jullian was very worried about the existence of the mermaid girl. Irene must be scared somewhere. "He disappeared with Chade!"
"A-what? How come?" Juvel was shocked to hear the news.
"I'm sure it's all related to your father-in-law's death and Chade's disappearance" said Jullian, who was very confident. "And also the loss of Dozer!"
"It's no coincidence!"
"You mean we were attacked secretly?" ask Juvel to make sure.
"Yes, I have to catch up with daddy to the western region, I can't stay here. So, I hope you're on guard at our headquarters let alone the main headquarters" pinta Jullian.
"Jullian, we've agreed that if I'm married then I'm out of the mafia world, I don't want to get involved any further" Juvel said, leaving Jullian distrustful.
"Juvel, you think more about your freedom than the safety of our mafia clan?" ask Jullian riled.
"It's not like that but Keiner won't allow it!" Juvel was confused by herself.
"I have to save Irene and Chade, didn't you ask me to save the boy yourself?"
Jullian stared intently at his sister. "I also wouldn't forgive myself if I couldn't save them, Juvel!"
"I'll persuade Keiner" Juvel said later.
"You don't want you to have to stand guard at the base, I'm leaving tonight, I think daddy and mommy just got to the west. I have to make plans there!" jullian.
Juvel sighed, it is true that the mafia is still the mafia. Juvel couldn't break that chain just like that.
After Jullian's departure, Juvel returned to his room with shaky steps.
Juvel looked towards the bed where Keiner was fast asleep. They should still enjoy the atmosphere of the newlyweds but there are problems that come.
Unwilling to waste Juvel's time immediately preparing for the necessities he had to bring to go to the main headquarters.
"Babe.." call Keiner who's awake. He was looking for his wife's whereabouts.
"I'm here!" juvel on the walk in closet.
Keiner rushed to his wife. "What are you doing?"
"I'm preparing your office clothes! We'll stay at the main headquarters for a while!" obviously Juvel without looking at her husband.
Keiner frowned. "meaning?"
Unwilling to cover up, Juvel tells her what really happened to her husband.
"Maybe Jullian will be able to find out who is behind your father's death" Juvel said after the story.
"I can investigate my own father's case" Keiner said grimly. "Isn't it our goal to get married so you can escape the mafia world? So what now?"
"Keiner, I can't possibly let anything happen to Irene or Chade. I know you hate Chade so much, but the kid's innocent!" Juvel doesn't want to lose.
Keiner snorted a few times as he felt even more annoyed.
"If anything happens to my baby, I'll never forgive you, Juvel!" threaten Keiner then.
