Chapter 35 - Samuel's Cunning

Eve was very panicked, visible from the sweat on her forehead. But the gripping atmosphere came to a halt when it heard the sound of the door being kicked from outside. The two turned their heads, looking at Niki who was furious at the scene before him. A hasty move and a punch to the handsome face of the man who wanted to kiss his sister. "Suckers! Your scarves are big enough against the Wijaya family." 

It was seen that one corner of Samuel's lips was spitting out fresh blood, rubbing his bloody lips with his hand. Highlight the eyes that Niki could not understand, approaching her little friend. "Only this way can I meet you, Niki." Samuel smiled faintly, as the plan arranged in such a manner worked. Earlier, she found out that Eve had gone with Niki to her apartment. Even he knew, if his little friend was monitoring Eve. 

He had no other choice, inviting Niki in a normal way. 

Niki knitted her eyebrows together, she did not know the meaning of Samuel's words and tried to digest them. "What do you mean?" he said with a sharp look. 

Samuel stared at some of the servants who were in the corner of the apartment, gesturing for only two fingers to drive them away. "Sit down!" he looked at Eve and Niki in turn. While the two elder sisters glanced at each other, they were very confused by the situation that had just occurred. 

They obeyed Samuel and sat down on the soft sofa, staring at the man with the sarcasm. "Now you can explain!"

"of course! Eve's in danger."

"I know," said Niki pushy. 

"Do you know what did it?" This time Samuel was very serious, because he wanted to take part in helping Niki. 

"Did you believe this crazy guy? It could be just nonsense." Sela Eve did not want to be in the room any longer. 

"Wait first! Why do you suddenly care? It's very suspicious."

"Don't believe him! He's a very cunning man, and he can fool you." Eve keeps on pumping Niki out of the way, however, the man can't be considered a friend. While Niki was silent, thinking about the speech being heard. But he could not ignore the news given by Samuel. 

"Tell me who did it!" niki Urge. 

Samuel smiled faintly and clapped his hands to call the assistant who brought a document about the enemy who was after Eve. "You can see that report, if you're still thinking about not trusting me? It's up to you, I'm saying this because you're my little best friend."

Soon Niki takes the report on the table and starts reading it, some regarding the plans, the enemy profession, and complete with photos. Both pupils of his eyes enlarged, not believing that his opponent this time was very heavy. "Jeez, it's because I accidentally slipped. Eve was in danger, because the enemy was already surrounding her." His mind is very worried. 

"Hows it? Do you still think I'm just making it up?" Samuel glanced at his right hand and assistant. 

Li's assistant understood the code, nodded his head and left the place to retrieve the video evidence. No need to wait long, the man brought a laptop and played Cctv footage that they had hacked. 

Not only was Niki shocked, but Eve was also very shocked. Looking at a tape showing Julian killing an enemy so vile. "Gosh, she looks innocent and very awesome. It's a good thing I don't love him yet" exclaimed Eve who made two pairs of eyes glare at him. 

"Get rid of that thought!" ketus Niki does not accept if the sister likes the cold-blooded psychopath, unforgiving to his enemy. 

"That's just my assumption, let alone Julian being so friendly to me. Not like the man next to you" Eve sneered at Samuel. 

Niki doesn't like it if anyone else dares to threaten or hurt Eve, hitting Samuel in the face with a small pillow on the couch. "Don't look at my sister like that!" 

"Ck, you're just ruining the mood. You and your brother are the same!" 

"Of course, because of her mommy and my daddy sisters. What's your problem now?" 

"If it's like this, when will this problem be solved? 

"Of course we work together." Samuel Sahut. 

"I don't want to work with you" said Niki. 

"You have no other choice, your family name alone will not be enough to defeat that vicious psychopath. His wealth exceeds your family, he's the ruler of Europe and you won't be able to stand against him."

"Then? You want us to work together? But what do you want to achieve?" Niki looked at Samuel full of investigators, as he could not completely trust the handsome man. 

Samuel smiled and glanced at Eve, winking one eye as Niki let her guard down. "I want Eve to be my contract lover for just one month!"

"Damn! You took a chance in the narrow-mindedness. Watch how my sister looks, there are still plenty of beautiful women you can get."

"But I want it, just one month. I promise to take care of her, you know my nature very well. Abstain from me for breaking my promise!" samuel told me part of the truth. 

"What exactly do you want to prove?" 

The atmosphere grew increasingly gripping as Eve watched the two men arguing right before her. "Oh come on, stop this!" his weakness. 

"Shut up!" the two men snapped in unison who stared at him for a few seconds. 

Eve silently froze, replying to the gazes of the two strange men before her. "Well, can I get out of here? My hands became itchy to hit their heads using my shoes." His mind is grumbling. 

"Ck, I'm actually very reluctant to tell you this. My father continued to disturb my life by looking for a woman to be betrothed, I strongly opposed matchmaking because I did not want to get married. I just wanted to make Eve a contract lover for just a month. In return, I will help you fight Julian. We'll combine forces to fight this war, at least you have allies."

"Give me time to think about this." Said Niki who did not give a definite answer, he just wanted to talk about this to his other brother. "Come, Eve!" pulled his cousin's hand into the parked car. 

Samuel smiled smirk at the sight of their departure, walked towards the table and gulped back down the alcohol. There was laughter, when the plan was about to begin. "Niko and Niki are nothing, they're so stupid. But Alex? The man was very ingenious and it was quite difficult to influence him." 

Samuel sipped alcohol again and recalled his family who betrayed him and his mother. "I will find the right time to finish off the usurper, and the lightest punishment will be the fate of my mother."
