Chapter 37 - The masked man

Eve's feeling increasingly unsettled, she was very uneasy about what was really going on. While Liam did not understand anything, the two were drifting in each other's minds. Until the daydream was broken, when several cars intercepted them from the front. 

Liam immediately stopped his car, staring at some of the men who got out of the car with guns. "Who are they?" he muttered as he linked his two eyebrows. 

"Damn! They're carrying weapons." Umbat Eve who did not understand the words of the man next to her. 

"Do you have any ideas?" 

"For the moment there is none."

Liam let out a heavy sigh, considering that many enemies were ahead. "You wait here!" he said he opened the door to get out of the car. 

"Are you crazy?" hatch Eve's upset. "Don't get out of the car, move positions!"

"Are you sure?" 

"Don't ask too many questions!" ketus Eve who immediately took over to drive the car. Rewind the car and immediately run away from the criminals who started shooting at the rear window. 

"Geez, I didn't think you were a racer." Chirps Liam who was holding on, afraid of Eve who was driving the car. 

"Do you need to announce it using a loudspeaker?" jengah Eve who is very good at driving a car. 

"Huh, you're right too." Liam immediately turned his head back, seeing some cars chasing them while shooting. "They are so many, how is this?" panic is associated with the present situation. 

"Can you use a gun?" Eve continued to focus on driving and occasionally looked at the rearview mirror to monitor enemy movements. 

"Can!"

"Good, get a gun in my bag!" tell Eve who was smiling, at least the man was a little useful to her. 

Liam opened the bag that the girl next to him always carried, his eyes almost popping out when he saw the number of weapons in the bag. "She's a very different girl, usually the contents of the girls' bags are only cell phones and makeup tools. But, inside his bag were some deadly little weapons." His mind is shaking. 

"Have you found it?" 

"Yes, drive the car well." Liam took out two small pistols, clasping them in his left and right hands. Poking out half his body in the car window, targeting the target and pulling the trigger. 

The sound of gunfire from the two sides that are linked to each other and throw bullets, Liam did not give up even though he was alone against several armed forces. Thanks to his efforts in whispering the enemy, managed to paralyze some criminals, only they were outnumbered until the car they were riding in was in very severe condition, because one of the bullets hit an important part of the car. 

"The car is about to explode, we need to get out of here" said Eve, trying to stay calm. 

"Yes, you're right." Liam immediately took action by opening the door on Eve's side and they glanced at each other.  Jumping out of the car and the body rolled a few meters, a little injury ignored by Liam who immediately ran to help Eve. "You okay?" he said very worried. 

"Hem, I'm fine." Reply Ayu who cleans himself from the sand and dust of the road. 

Liam was shocked to see fresh blood flowing in the hands of the bespectacled girl before him, taking action by tearing off his clothes to bandage the wound. "Now you are my responsibility! I'll protect you."

"Come on!" They soon escape from the enemy's pursuit, but it's too late when a black car comes in. The two of them were glaring at a man wearing a half-face mask and approaching them. 

Eve recognized the man very well, the two dimples on the face being a sign. "That's Julian!" the murmur heard by Liam. 

"Julian the new boy?" Liam could not cover up his shock, let alone Julian having a very innocent face. 

"He's the one." Eve answered without looking, all her attention was on the masked man. 

The masked man stepped foot over the target, and some of his men surrounded them. Liam immediately stood before Eve to protect the little girl, no fear emanating between the two beads of eyes. 

"The target's in a trap!" julian who smiled smirk. "remove! I have no business with you!" julian said, unmasking him, smiling at the girl he had been looking for. 

"Step over me first." Whether courage comes from nowhere, Liam seeks to protect Eve from the enemy. 

Julian laughed cynically, mocking the man before him. "You're no match for me, get out of the way!" 

"No way!" 

Julian was furious at Liam's rejection, clenching his hands perfectly while throwing his mask in any direction. "You're the one who wants this" he said coldly, turning Liam's head to sound. 

Holding a head that felt very painful, but still maintained Eve's safety. Liam attacked Julian with all his might, but the enemy he faced was no match for him. 

"You're a very weak man" Julian kicked Liam's body to the ground, taking only a few seconds for him. Eve is shocked and immediately helps Liam, trying to attack Julian using his abilities. 

"You can't beat me, Eve Wijaya." Julian smiled faintly, only fending off the girl's attack with great ease. 

"Why are you doing this to me?" squealing Eve who wanted to hit the dimpled man, she was furious at the current situation. 

Julian pulled Eve's hand until it hit his chest that was field, the two pairs of eyes met each other and stared hatefully. He took off the glasses of the girl in his arms, also removed the hair fastener and let it wither beautifully. "You look beautiful like this." 

"Nobody can manage me nor do they need any praise from you" Eve replied fiercely. 

Liam sees the faint of events nearby, wanting to immediately stand up to help the woman he loves. However, he was currently helpless considering his severely injured condition. "I have to help Eve!" his resolve rose again. But Julian who was very observant read the opponent's movements, kicking the weak man's body to a few meters, until fainted. 

"Aren't you dealing with me? Why did you hurt him, you coward!" Eve is very hysterical with the condition of Liam who is injured quite badly, wants to approach her. While Julian clenched his hand tightly, not being able to bear Eve's words made his anger soon overflow. "That is the result if he rejects my words" he said. 

Eve tried her hardest to break away from the grip of the dimpled man, her efforts still fruitless. "Liam.Liam, wake up! Come, awake!" his yell. 

"Ck, you're so noisy." Julian cheated while gagging Eve's mouth using a cloth that had been given drugs. Gesticulating to his subordinates to immediately leave the place, before Alex found them. 

Julian holds Eve's body to get into his car, leaving Liam unconscious on the street.
