The Delayed Soul

The Delayed Soul
Chapter 35

Arriving at home I went straight into the room, again I saw my phone which turned out to be the clock showed at 18.05 pm, immediately I took a shower and changed clothes and then prayed maghrib.

After praying I took the time to read the Holy Quran first so that this heart is calmer and more comfortable.

Drt....!Drt...!Drt....! Just finishing five verses my phone rang continuously without stopping, because it was not focused finally I stopped my cadarus and walked over to my phone.

"Dina? I thought Adam" I muttered.

"Hello Din, what's wrong?" Ask me after picking up the phone.

"Tiar! you're going to the hospital right now" he sounded agitated.

"What's up Din? answer me! don't panic me" I raised my tone a little.

"Ti Ti, she dropped it again" replied Dina nervously.

"Yeah, I'll be there soon" I said before turning off the phone.

Without thinking any longer I immediately rushed to the hospital where Dita was treated.

Tonight the streets are jammed because tomorrow's weekend so everyone's overtime and home at night.

In a panic position I drove my car alone, when near the intersection of red lights almost I hit another vehicle in front, which is in front, after passing the red light I finally decided to pull over my car and stop for a moment to calm down so that my mind also returned to focus.

Dina kept calling me which made me even more nervous because I was worried about anything happening with my best friend Dita.

I returned to drive the car when it was a bit quiet, slowly but surely because the situation was also late so this minus eye could not feel the way.

☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

"Dina!" Call me to the woman standing in front of the ER entrance.

"Whyp so long ago where have I called not picked up?" Ask after I approach her.

"I drove myself Din, it almost hit people because of panic" I replied.

"But you're okay, right? sorry, I'm so panicked about being here alone" he said again.

"Kok himself, where are your parents?" I was shocked to hear Dina's statement.

"Maybe it's still on the road, his mother was sitting home for a while, but I've been told" he replied.

"Where do you keep going?" Ask again.

"In Ti again treated with the doctor, now the condition is critical Ti" replied Dina who made me more anxious, but I did not show before Dina.

"Yaudah we go in again while waiting for his parents to come" Invite me.

Dina and I entered the waiting room in front of the ER, occasionally Dina sobbed and looked weak, I tried to strengthen myself in order to strengthen Dina.

A few seconds later, Dita's parents arrived in a hurry.

"Where Dita, I want to meet Dita" asked Dita's mother to us.

"Relax mom, Dita is still being handled by the doctor inside" I replied.

"Yeah......!!" Shouted Dita's mother in her sobs.

"Sabar ma'am, Dita must be all right" I tried to calm him, which in the depths of this heart the feeling of tightness is also very felt.

Sometimes his mother Dita fainted in her father's embrace, as did Dina who was still crying sobbing.

Some time passed by the doctor came out of the room, he approached us and told us to visit Dita because it could be his last moment.

Her mother's cry Dita and her father broke out, they rebelled blaming the doctor, her mother fell unconscious continuously, I tried to calm the situation that ran my way.

About fifteen minutes things began to improve, slowly I invited them into the room where Dita lay.

Eyes closed, bodies fitted with a lot of medical equipment made us all cry to see it.

"God, if you still allow Dita to live with us, then heal her as you have always, but if you love her more, do not torment our hearts for her circumstances, it's been quite a pain that he's endured for almost a year without even realizing from his sleep, we beg you because you're the only one who's the most helpful"

"Ufus? do you promise we want a vacation together to the city of Bali at the end of this semester? come on dong get up! not tired of sleeping?" Said Dina while continuing to hug Dita's body.

"You don't miss us playing together anymore? playing in the rain and chasing like we used to when we were kids, you remember right?" Imbuh Dina's.

"Aren't you going to see me and Tiar again? are you angry with us?" Again Dina's words made me not strong enough to withstand the tightness that I had been holding since.

"In the end, let Dita rest first yes we go out, love time for her parents" I told Dina.

We both came out of the room to give Dita's parents a chance with her daughter inside.

"You're sure Dita's cured, right, Tiar?" Ask Dina suddenly.

"Definitely dong, Dita is strong" said I try hard in front of Dina.

"If the doctor says right how is Ti?" Ask again.

"Everyone has arranged Din, the doctor only estimates, but fate is only God who determines" I replied aloud.

Dina hugged me tightly, there seemed to be a deep fear visible from her tight embrace.

"I don't want to lose you both" she said again.

"Will not, we will always be there for you" I replied steadily.

"We're conscious! please call the doctor" said Dita's mother who suddenly came out of the room.

Spontaneous me and Dina stood up to him because they did not believe what he said.

"This is seriously auntie?" I asked who still couldn't believe it.

"Seriously, get a doctor!" His order.

I ran to find a doctor in the doctor's room, without asking permission and knocked first I opened the door and went inside.

"My best friend's doctor was aware" With my breath still tight I tried to talk to the doctor.

"Calm down, this is drunk and then talk slowly" he said.

Sip.ceguk.ceguk..ceguk... I drink water given by the doctor with a wheeze.

"It's quiet?" Ask doctor.

"It's Doc" I replied.

"Please" the doctor let me talk.

"My best friend on Dita's behalf is already aware doc" I explained.

"Thank God there's a miracle, then let's get there" he said.

We walked to the room where Dita was treated, when we got inside we were surprised by the position of Dita who was sitting leaning on the bed without the help of oxygen again, she seemed to be healthy.

The doctor walked up to Dita's bed with a still stunned expression.

"May I check first" the doctor's permission to Dita's mother sitting next to her.

"By doc, please" he replied.

After checking Dita's progress, the doctor came out of the room.

We had a conversation with Dita, there was not much we talked about because she had not been able to talk much by the doctor.

My phone rang, it was from my mom who asked me to come home because grandma was looking since.

I finally got permission to go home first and promised that tomorrow I would come back again.

☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

After arriving at the house I went straight into the grandmother's room, he was being persuaded by mama to want to sleep because the day had shown at 20:45 pm.

"What is this ma?" Many wonder.

"Then again persuade grandma to go to sleep" replied Mama.

"Jaudah mama rest aja must be tired all day to take care of the store, let Tiar's grandmother take care" I told mama.

"Aren't you tired of just getting back from the hospital?" Ask mama.

"Engga dong, Tiar is still young" I replied lightly.

"Can you ah, oh yeah how is Dita darling?" Ask my mom again.

"So he had dropped ma, continues now to be aware" I replied in a happy tone.

"Alhamdulillah, hopefully soon to recover yes" he said.

"Amin, yaudah there mama to the bedroom kept sleeping" I asked.

"Mama stay first baby, good night" Mama passed away after giving a kiss on my forehead.

"Grandma why haven't you slept?" I asked my grandmother who had been watching me and my mom.

"Grandmother is waiting for you, want to sleep together" he replied.

"Judah if that Tiar temenin sleep yes" I reply.

Next morning.

"Honey woke up early" said mama woke me, I saw grandma was no longer next to me.

"Grandma where ma?" I asked my mom.

"In the park, he said he wanted breakfast there" replied Mama.

"Mama wait at the dinner table, yes, you quickly keep showering down" said the mother who passed away went out of the grandmother's room.

I looked for my phone in the bag, it turned out that the clock had shown at 08.07 am, I immediately headed to my own room to take a shower and then dropped breakfast.

When I eat at the table I often choke on either the drinks or the food that goes into my mouth, it feels like I feel bad.

Because the food was not comfortable so mubasir because it did not run out, I left the mama who still ate the food and walked to the grandmother in the park.

Today grandma is spoiled once, eating also asked to be fed by me like never before.

"Tiar, your phone is ringing there's a call from Dina" Call mom.

Spontaneous I immediately stood up and ran towards my mother.

"Well dead" said my mother as soon as I got to her front.

"What did she say ma?" Askaqua.

"Mama hasn't had time to lift baby" he replied.

"Nih rang again" Mama handed me the phone she had in hand.

"Hello Din, what's wrong? everything's all right, right?" Asking me worried.

"We dropped again Ti, and now it's getting critical" Dina said occasionally sobbing.

"Every night is fine, right?" My toot.

"Mending you quickly here and see for yourself" replied Dina and then turned off the phone.

I rushed in and answered the car keys that were behind the entrance, it turned out that I answered the keys to Pajero's car owned by my mother, without lingering I immediately drove the car to the hospital.

☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

"Where's Dita?" I asked Dina.

"There's inside" he answered briefly.

"Sister Dita's family" Call the doctor who just came out of the room.

We all rushed to the doctor.

"Where's my son's condition?" Ask Mother Dita.

"We have done our best, but God willed another, brother Dita we declared dead Friday at 09.45" said the doctor.

"What doctor do you mean?" With the emotional tone of his father Dita pulled the collar of the doctor's shirt.

"Om please don't be like that" I'm holding Dita's father out of control.

He loosened his grip and then fell to the floor.

The cries of the four of us broke outside the room, Dita's mother fainted hearing this painful reality.

#Funeral procession

Dita's body was brought back to Palembang where she was born because her grandmother and her entire family were there, mama came to serve while still in the hospital because she could not come to Palembang because the condition of the grandmother was also not good.

Only Dita's old friends, me and Dina who accompanied Dita's body, in the car does not stop we cry because we still do not believe in Dita's departure.

Dina was the hardest hit, because Dita was her best friend from childhood.

Until at the funeral home, the whole family swarmed Dita's body, her mother was unconscious from coming until the procession of praying the corpse even until Dita would be sent to the funeral of her mother should be carried by her father.

Dita's funeral procession went smoothly, as well as the weather was very supportive, bright but dim did not rain as well, it seemed like nature understood and accompanied her departure.

After the mourners came home, we and our extended family stayed for a while to read the letter of jasin around the navel.

☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

Dina and I were in Palembang until the end of the seven daily study, we were welcomed by her family before we finally decided to go home.

We both said goodbye and took time to visit Dita's grave first.

Dita's parents chose to stay because it was still hard to leave their own children here.

To return to our City, our trip was taken by plane to arrive sooner because tomorrow there will be a final semester exam.
