The Delayed Soul

The Delayed Soul
Chapter 72

Adel Tak had time to protest with what was done by Varel because the man immediately pulled it and the atmosphere of the road was quite crowded at that time because of the weekend.

Arriving in the car, Adel stared at his hand which was still held by Varel who was taking his car keys in his jacket pocket.

"Let's go in!" varel said after opening the car door for the woman who was miserable in his heart.

"Can you let go?" adel said he pointed at his hand using his eyes.

"Eh, sorry!" said Varel who immediately released his hand with a wrong attitude.

Adel smiled and got into the car. Varel flicked his shoulder after closing the car door for Adel and got behind the wheel.

"Om out shopping?" adel asked when he saw some milk cowl in the back seat, just a stale base to drive away the awkwardness between them because this was the first time they were in a car after three years apart.

"Yes, Tristan's milk is gone" Varel replied.

Adel nodded in understanding. The car drove to a house not far from there.

It didn't take long, Varel's car entered his yard.

Adel's eyes glazed when he saw the house that became his dream home since long ago did not change much after he left.

"The house is still the same, it hasn't changed much" he murmured.

"Because I don't want to change the memories of being with someone who means so much in my life in this house. Although only briefly, but his memories remain eternal in this house," explained Varel.

Varel's words stunned Adel. It is still clear in his memory when they first met in the house.

"Why?" asked Varel who saw Adel smiling a little.

"It's okay, just remember the first time I came here," said Adel and in a smile by Varel, "Come in, Del!" bring him.

"Yes, um," said Adel. He followed Varel who walked a step faster in front of him.

"Ma! Look who's coming!" yell Varel.

"Who is that?" sahut Bu Lidya who just came from the kitchen.

"Adels... Sweetheart! Oh god!" Ms. Lidya immediately ran up to Adel, "This is really, Adelia?"

Adel smiled and nodded, "Yes buk, this is Adel" he said.

"Geez, I'm a real miss with you, baby,"

Adel immediately hugged Lidya ma'am," Adel also kangen same mother. Sorry yes, Adel recalcitrant never gave the same news mother," said Adel.

"Even your sister also never wanted to tell you the same news mother," lidya argued sadly.

"Where have you been all this time, baby?" ask Lidya ma'am, "Eh let's sit down first, until you forget not to tell you to sit down, mother was too happy because of it," Bu Lidya led Adel to sit.

"Talk with mom, yeah. I took a shower for a while, the smell of sweaty oil, not good!" varel said as he sniffed the shirt he was wearing. Adelia nodded, knowing that Varel was sweating enough to try to justify his car.

"Not long!" Varel smiled before climbing the stairs to the room that used to be Adel's room.

Adel stared at the man's back, unseen.

"It's hard to make a drink, a minute!" said Miss Lidya.

Bu Lidya's voice disperse the reverie of Adel "Not bother, buk," he said.

"No dear, just the water," Lidya left Adel alone in the living room.

"Who are you guests? Until made to drink alone with mother, must be special, huh?" ask mbak sum.

"Yes, it's special. Ghost candidate!" replied Lidya smiling. He could not hide his happiness because the possibility of his son's pending marriage was in sight. I hope that.

"Well, that's right. I wonder what kind of person can melt the heart of mas Varel. Kirain wants to hold up, buk. You see, during my work here mas Varel has never been seen to invite girls to the house, just this time," said mbak Sum.

Ms. Lidya smiled, "please bring a snack to the front yes mbak, I bring this drink to the front first,"

" well, buk. I want to see his future wife Mas Varel. Curious, hihi!" sahut mbak Sum's.

Adel was still circulating his gaze, observing the interior of the house which is still the same as all his memories when Lidya came.

" A drink, baby!" ms. Lidya put a glass of orange-flavored drink in front of Adel. Because the weather was hot enough that the drink was more than just a cup of hot tea.

"Thank you, buk," replied Adel. He immediately took the glass and drank it a little to appreciate the efforts of Lidya ma'am.

"It's a pleasure to finally get you back, baby. You how are you? I forgot to ask you about it,"

"Where there is youth, getting older yes. Where have you been all this time? What's in New York again?"

Adel shook his head, "Adel went to Korea, buk. Looking for other experiences in the ginseng country,"

"Well, when Varel went to New York, he didn't find you. All the places he went at that time. But you didn't catch an oppa-oppa right there?"

Adel shook his head while smiling. He really did not think that Varel had ever gone to New York, what to look for? Could it?

Miss Lidya smiled with relief. He hopes there is still a match with Varel.

"This is the snack, miss!" said mbak Sum who came with a snack.

"Thank you, ma'am," said Adel kindly. Ma'am Sum watched Adel until he did not blink, "Was Mas Varel willing to widen long, very beautiful this one, not in vain if finally it can be this way," muttered mbak Sum.

Adel immediately frowned when he heard the mumamna mbak sum.

"Mbak, if you have been to the kitchen, the back plants have not been flush as well" said Bu Lidya who heard the murmur of praise mbak Sum To Adel.

Lidya ma'am shook her mind to see Sum go back to the kitchen with the tray that was carried by Lidya ma'am.

"Where is it, buk?" ask Adel. He had not seen the boy since.

"Again sleep in his room, the soy sauce was gone because," replied Lidya and Adel only oh-ria.

Bu Lidya looked at Adel, wondering if Varel had been telling about Tristan or not. What needs him to tell, but also afraid of being wrong.

"What are you talking about?" tanya Varel smbik ran small down the stairs. Oria was noticeably fresher with wet arm hair, wearing plain white T-shirts and creamy chinos.

"Not many people have been talked about, anyway, just asked the news," replied Lidya ma'am.

"Emm, mama wants to see Tristan first, maybe you're up. I'll stay a while, okay?" ms. Lidya always gave time to the two of them.

"You talking, in the park?" garg Varel.

"Byeah" said Adel smiling.

"Your old mother lived here, om?" ask Adel. Now they are sitting opposite each other in the park.

"Since Tristan, my mother has chosen to accompany me here" Varel said.

Actually Adel was curious, exactly when Andini died, whether after giving birth to Tristan, or not long ago. But, to ask, it doesn't feel good.

"You extended this house contract, om?" ask Adel.

"I bought it, because who owned this house had wanted to sell this house to the developer, this house wanted to be destroyed. So I'll just buy it" replied Varel.

"It must be very expensive, surely the homeowner uses the opportunity to raise the price from the actual price, right? Why don't you just move, and buy a house whose property is reasonable, or make it," said Adel he remembered how annoying the owner of the house was.

Varel smiled faintly at Adelia's impassioned words, "Because this house is full of memories. And I still hope to make more memories here with the same person. Price does not matter" he said which made Adel immediately speechless, staring fixedly at the man in front of him. Didn't think that was the meaning of their memories.

"Anger is the same I never told you and cut off communication in any form with me? That much I hurt you, Adelia?" varel asked regretfully.

Adel shook his head, "I've never been angry and hated the same, um. Om not wrong, the situation that makes us have to choose each other's path. Didn't I decide to leave? So, I have no reason to be angry,"

"But why did it really have to disappear, Del? I almost went crazy that time,"

"I just want to give you time to accept Andini without any shadow of me that would make it difficult to do so,"

"You know, if that time you asked me to stay with you, I would do it without a second thought,"

"I know that, so I didn't do it and decided to leave. Because Andini needs om,"

"Then you, don't you need me?"

Adel was silent, he could not answer. Because in reality he was also tortured away from Varel, "Andini needed more om, at that time," he said.

Varel exhaled, "You really want to forget everything to feel reluctant to come back here?" Varel remembered Adel and Rasel's words earlier.

"Because it was Om himself who said, he will never wait for me to return,"

The deg!

Is that how Adelia interpreted Varel's words when the man felt disappointed that Adel chose to leave at that time?
