Ch. 11 - Acedemi Phoenix
Everyone including Ling's parents and brothers, inwardly said simultaneously.
'that's so adorable.'
Silence ensued at the table, making Ling who was partly the center of attention to be confused by the situation.
'K.Why are they looking at me like that? did I speak wrong?' Inner Ling. Ling was quite confused by everyone who was now staring at him, actually what made them keep staring at him.
Ling's father coughed softly and continued the conversation to Ling to break the silence that occurred.
"Since when have you been acting adorable, hahaha." Ling's father laughed as he patted his son's back quite hard. Then the father moved his head closer to Ling's hearing.
"Ling, don't be like that anymore, your behavior earlier it can make people become hostile to you, but well just men anyway, well just don't use this if not urgent." Shoto reminded, because, harmony is good, but like a double-edged sword, it can also be a disaster.
"All right." Ling replied to the father's words briefly with a smile.
After a few minutes, Ling and his father were ready, and they walked out of the Gronth house. Arriving in front of their residence, a horse-drawn carriage was now seen symbolizing a large hammer, they were waiting at the door of the residence of Gronth.
When he had just come down from the stairs, Ling and his father were greeted by four soldiers with quite complete equipment.
"Greetings Mr. Shoto, we of the royal elite soldiers come to escort and accompany the Gronth family." Said one of the four of them while saluting and then followed by the other three soldiers.
Shoto a few seconds later also hinted them to stand, after which he let his son enter first.
Ling entered casually into the carriage, which was quite good, until inside, Ling saw the coachman who was preparing to travel.
Moments after Ling entered, Shoto entered the carriage with a large suitcase in his hand.
The curious Ling asked his father, "Dad, why are you carrying a suitcase?" Ask Ling.
Shoto did not immediately answer, he closed the train door first before answering his son's question.
"Of course it's for you to stay in akememi, and well, you know, it looks like you won't be able to get into Akemedemi Lexington first, because they don't look at money." Shoto explained. He and his wife left after Ling returned to his room.
Ling just made an o in his mouth, he then turned and opened the window of the carriage in his right intending to see the scene, actually not just that, but that, he also wanted to see his servant who was now following Ling from behind.
As Ling opened the window of the carriage, he also saw two horses ridden by elite warriors were leisurely walking beside him.
'They're all gold-level fighters, they deserve to be elite soldiers, and also, they all seem to have class fighters.' Inner Ling while looking at the two warriors who were now walking beside her while chatting with her comrade.
A few minutes later, Ling arrived at Akedemi, when he arrived there, they were greeted by several elders from Akedemi.
Ling's father went down first, then followed by Ling. Ling and his father appear to have similar characteristics, only Ling as his son is more handsome than his parents.
"Welcome to Akedemi Feniks Mr. Ling and Mr. Shoto." Welcoming an old man dressed in white clothes chime red, he also booked his body for a while and then returned to his starting position.
"Thank you for the welcome of Elder Leon, then why don't we just start the exam right away? I actually have a lot of business, too." The father said quietly as he said a lot of business.
"Alright, then let's follow me." Take the Elder Akemi.
Ling and his father followed behind, not forgetting that the servant was also following them. Not long after, Ling also arrived at a place that was quite spacious, well, no doubt, there was a match arena. But unlike the others, this arena field is only used for practice and also exams.
There was also a boy of the same age as Ling and a black bearded man.
"Queen!" Shouted Leon from below while waving his hand.
The black-bearded man, or what is usually called the Queen, turned his face and immediately saw his fellow elders.
"Ouh Leon, who's that handsome boy? and that dashing guy?" Queen asked as she walked towards them. The queen did not come down, she just barked.
Keep in mind, this arena field does not have stairs, so someone must climb it to climb, or it could be in their own way.
"Ah, introduce, he is Shoto, he is one of the most important people in the Gronth family. And also this handsome boy is his son, he's named Ling." Leon introduces Ling and Shoto briefly replacing them.
"Ouh, ah forgive me for not knowing an important figure. Ouh yes, introduce, my name is Queen Lee, but the other elders call me Queen, greetings." Said Queen introducing herself while scratching her non-itchy head.
Ling and Queen's father exchanged greetings a few minutes before Ling's father finally resigned and left the child.
"Then, Ling, take good care of yourself, I'll be back in a week." Ling's father left while waving his hands, not forgetting that his face looked a big smile.
"T..but I'm not necessarily graduating dad? what if I don't graduate?" Ling asked with a worried look. But it was just a mask, actually Ling was not worried at all, but he had to keep his attitude to look more like the Ling he used to be.
Ling's father paused for a moment and laughed when he heard his son's words, he stopped and wiped away the tears that came from his laughter, "Dad believes you will succeed, then see you next week."
Slowly, Ling's father began to disappear from everyone's sight. Simultaneously, a boy of Ling's age called out his name while extending his hand.
"Ling, let me help you." Say the boy.
Ling immediately turned his face when he heard the voice of his name spoken, he then smiled and reached for the hand of the man, slowly Ling's body was drawn up onto the arena.
"Huh." The Ling boy wiped the sweat on his forehead before introducing himself.
"Include me, my name is Kaito Shin, people usually call me Kai, or you can call me Kaito too." Kaito smiled as he advanced his hand intending to exchange greetings.
"Alright, ah yes, introduce, my name is, Gronth Ling Chen." Ling introduced himself.
"Greetings." Say both at the same time. I don't know what happened, but the two people called elders saw a fairly similar aura between them, for some reason it could be the same, but it seemed like they could deduce that Kaito was...
