Chapter 34 [Suspiciousness]

"Am I interrupting?"

Yula spoke again. He walked slowly to the side of the bed where Eugene sat.

Their gazes whistled at each other, staring at each other with expressions that were difficult to understand, only Eugene was difficult to set his expression while Yula looked ordinary with a smile that did not fade from her face.

The presence of Yula made the atmosphere in the outpatient room feel even more quiet and cold.

Yula smiled as usual after which she handed the white Lily flower she had brought to Eugene.

Eugene stared at the flower at a glance. It is a bit strange to see Yula carrying Lily flowers to visit the magician, because generally the flowers are brought to mourning.

He should have brought the purple Chrysanthemum flowers according to the royal tradition. But who cares? Both are flowers.

'Will he be disappointed that I didn't die or that I failed to kill Luis'

Said Yula with a worried and warm tone. Hansoo and Suchan looked at her suspiciously silently while Luis smiled at her.

Yula emphasized the word of the friend she spoke making Eugene shiver when he heard it.

Yula's hand stretched out, touching the wood on which Eugene was resting. The look in his eyes staring at the wound on Eugene's stomach with a concerned look made the empu speechless observe.

"Oh yes. Do you guys know yet? The medical associate who went with you was found dead"

Everyone who was there gasped when they heard Yula's words. Eugene clenched his hands, he felt like he knew about who was behind Shi Yun's death.

'This is a warning'

"What happened to Shi Yun?"

The one who asked was Cordelia. He was not familiar with Shi Yun, instead it could be said that they had a bad relationship due to Shi Yun's ingrained envy of Cordelia.

But hearing the news that he died made Cordelia empathize with him.

William and Suchan nodded compactly. There was a warm smile on their faces, whereas Hansoo was still silent as he looked at Luis sitting in front of him.

"What's Han?"

Said Luis. Surprisingly Hansoo did not immediately follow the steps of Suchan and William who came out of the room. Hansoo muttered, saying something only Luis could hear.

"Then I'll go first. Don't stay in the infirmary too long, you'll miss a lot of lessons later"

Hansoo passed away. Following Suchan and William who had walked first, left the four people inside the infirmary.

Cordelia still has to be there. At least, until his partner comes in two hours.

Yula left them in the infirmary. He also had another class at the moment, so he could not linger there for long. Well, Eugene was grateful that Yula had left.

As if losing her strength, Eugene's entire body instantly slumped onto the mattress, she could breathe a sigh of relief after Yula left from there like a storm had just passed.

"Who's the vampire here? Why does he have a more terrifying aura like a vampire than I do that of a real vampire? Haaa.i'm a coward."

Eugene spoke softly while closing his eyes with his hands. Cordelia was out of the room a few minutes ago, therefore Eugene could rather casually offend the topic about vampires.

In the silence of the room, Luis spoke.

"Hey, Brother Eugene"

"What?"

"Second Yula can brainwash?"

Eugene frowning. He immediately woke up from his sleep, looking at the prince with a look of wonder.

"Why do you think that?"

Instead of giving an answer Eugene asked back.

"Han said Six's behavior became strange when he finished meeting with chairman Yula, shortly after which Six was assigned his organization a mission of several days."Luis paused his words for a moment. He looked at Eugene who was sitting on the bed next to him.

"Organizations other than the OASIS won't give new students a long mission, we haven't even passed the winter break. So, why was Six given a mission?"

Eugene stunned. He had just realized the awkwardness of Luis' words earlier. In addition to the OASIS organization, no one can give a mission to students before the first semester is completed. The conclusion of what Luis suspected could have been true, but unfortunately Eugene is still not sure about his brainwashing ability.

"I don't know. Yula is a hard person to guess. And, isn't that brainwashing ability only possessed by vampires? I'm the only one a vampire can't do that"

Eugene said with his face starting to panic. If what Luis says is true, then Yula's ability is very dangerous.

Rather than reply to Eugene, Luis chose to keep quiet and think.

What Eugene said was right. The brainwashing ability is possessed by vampires. Moreover, only top-tier vampires could master it.

'Chief Yula isn't a vampire, so how did she do it?'

Although Hansoo's remarks about Six's state were brief, Luis was convinced the cause of Six's strange behavior was brainwashing. No, rather Luis could not think of anything else but that, or perhaps he did not want to suspect another possibility.
