AUTHOR POV
Daphne and Declan decide to meet in the park again before they attend the Harper family gathering at Daphne's parents' residence.
"Ckkk..for a long time anyway not to the point! Where's the guy?" Daphne clucked in annoyance as she unceasingly checked the clock on her phone.
It's been almost an hour since he waited for Declan, but the man never came. Inattentive Daphne, he forgot to ask the phone number of the man he knew by the name of Decs. As a result, the call could not.
Yesterday before parting ways, they only agreed to meet again at this park at 6am. Later Daphne and Declan will leave together using Daphne's car.
A sudden flash of bad thoughts pervaded Daphne's mind.
What if the guy doesn't come?
What if he breaks his promise?
If that happens, then certainly Daphne will not have the face to meet with his extended family.
Luckily Daphne's bad dreams didn't happen. A few minutes later Declan finally showed the trunk of his nose. Daphne's daydream.
"Hey, blonde!!" declan shouted from a distance with her grin.
"Birds! You just call me a blonde!" Daphne ruffled her waist as she shook her head.
"Your hair is blond" Declan said as he walked closer.
"I've been waiting for you since 6am, then you easily come and immediately mock my hair color! Not knowing any manners at all!" daphne Cibir.
Declan smiled back. "Basic chatty! It's also 7 in the morning. Your family's 8 o'clock, there's still plenty of time to relax."
"Little you say?" Daphne looked at the man in front of her in disbelief. "Decs, the distance from this park to my parents' residence is very far! Because the Harper family event will be held at my parents' farmhouse. Not my usual home."
Declan stuffed his hand into the pocket of his pants and snorted. "Yes let's go!"
Daphne turns around the car and is about to get into the steering wheel, but her steps are stopped because Declan forbids. "Let me drive!"
Abstinence to Declan letting a woman drive him. Not because he considered it weak, but Declan felt no gentleman if it happened. The exception for yesterday when I ran away from the party, it was Daphne who was driving.
"Could you?" Daphne was a little doubtful.
"You underestimated me. Of course I can. Driving a car is a basic life skill. Whether I'm a waiter or not, I should still be able to drive a car. " Declan was still playing his skit nicely.
Daphne finally gave up. He handed the car keys to Declan.

There's not much they talk about on the way. Even more quiet than talking.
Neither Declan nor Daphne wanted to start a conversation first. Both of them still feel awkward sitting alone in the car.
To melt the mood, Daphne asks, "Decs, what really motivates you to continue this show of our courtship? Though it could be, our business is done until at that time." he asked curiously.
"Yes, you're right. And for that I thank you. Are you ready to meet my family? There later, they will definitely find you with a variety of interesting questions. I hope you're mentally prepared." said Daphne.
"I'm not afraid. You forget I'm a waiter? It's common to get scolding from others. I could stand being insulted by your cousin at the party yesterday."
Daphne chuckles. "Alright.kamu just set how later. Oh yes, by the way what reward should I give for your help?"
"What can you offer?" challenge Declan back.
"Well, whatever I can, I'll grant you as much as I can. What matters is it makes sense!" daphne.
"All right, I'll consider it later. For now I have not thought what to want." replied Declan who was replied with a nod from Daphne.
"One more Decs.I want to ask. If you can tell, whose full name are you?" chirp Daphne again.
"Why indeed?" Declan took a quick glance and refocused on driving.
"I'm just curious. Because there's no way your name's just Decs?"
"I don't think you need to know my last name. You only know me by the name of Decs" Declan said.
Unsatisfied by the man's answer, Daphne urges him even more. "Come on Decs tell me!! I want to know!"
Declan's still tight-lipped, unwilling to tell. It could be dangerous if Daphne finds out that the Decs she knows are the sole heirs of Parker Group. Can be found out his original identity so as to make the plan he composed scum.
Talking about the plan, Declan himself did have ulterior intentions from the beginning, why he dared to offer himself pretending to date Daphne, who incidentally is a foreign woman he had just known.
Got the urge from both parents to get married immediately, making Declan must move quickly to find a life companion that if fit and suitable. He had no choice but to comply with the requests of Daddy Wyatt and Mommy Irene.
Because if not, then his name can be crossed off the list of the rightful heirs of the Parker Group wealth. Another worst option, Declan can be kicked out and not recognized his existence again as a child. That's that bad indeed.
Since there is Daphne in plain sight, Declan will make the most of this. Overnight thinking, Declan's determination was steady to live a serious relationship with Daphne. Even if the woman knows they are just playing.
Declan was already lazy if told to look for women outside there who are not clear. Therefore, he will try to approach Daphne and get his heart. Although Declan himself has no sense of interest in the woman who is beside him.
However, Declan still does not want to rush. He still wants to enjoy the process of his approach with Daphne. In addition, Declan wants to test to the extent where Daphne can survive to have a lover who has no clear origins and a steady income like him today.
"What is the significance of a last name? Does that affect you?" ask Declan.
"It doesn't matter to me, but it's important to the reputation of my extended family Decs." Daphne bowed lethargic. "They always thought that it was important for a Harper to have a partner with a clear background."
"Nearly 98 percent of Harper's family members must have married people from the upper class. There's a kind of tradition of our own, which we're forbidden from connecting with ordinary people" Daphne said.
"It's your family's thinking!" declan. "How are you? Are you targeting yourself to marry a conglomerate?"
Daphne shook her head quickly. "Of course not Decs! That's not what I'm looking for. I always wanted to be a match with a man who loved me sincerely. I don't care how the economy is. The important thing is that he makes me happy" Daphne said with a wry smile.
