Drrrtnt ....
Drrrtnt ....
Drrrtnt ....
The vibrational sound from my phone is heard in my ear.
As I recall the last time I put that flat object on my nightstand.
I shouldn't have activated my phone, I grumbled in my heart.
I regretted my decision to leave my phone active in the hope that Gibran would call me again.
In fact, until I fell asleep a few hours ago, Gibran never called me.
Still with the two blinds closed, I fumbled at the nightstand that was right beside my bed.
Both of my eyes were still reluctant to open, so I decided to take the call with my eyes closed.
The caller won't know that, I thought.
“Ya ..” typical raspy sound wake me up greet the caller who knows who.
“Sayang ..” contact both eye beads that were reluctant to awake, now open perfectly.
“Hemm,” replied to me only with deheman hoping that Gibran would realize that I was in annoyance mode.
“Do I disturb your sleep, baby?” tanyakanya.
It's not a question like this that I was expecting, my mind.
“Try looking up at the sky, and find the answer there,” I replied ketus.
My answer was welcomed with laughter by Gibran.
“Honey, at this time I can not think to find the answer myself,” he admitted.
“My mind has been filled by you, I miss you so dear that I can not think of anything else.” Gibran.
“Gombal! You are the best at seducing women,” reply me.
Even so an easy red tinge I'm sure it has now perfectly adorned my cheeks.
My suddenly hot cheeks were getting more and more convinced of that.
Thankful that Gibran and I are now only connected by phone, otherwise I would be ashamed.
“I'm serious baby,” he said reassuring me.
“If you don't believe, now look out through your room's window”.
My two neutrals broke through hearing Gibran's words just now.
What does it mean that Gibran is here? In front of my house?
Is he here to see me? Because missing me?
With a smile and a reddened face, I hurried to Gibran's orders.
So excited, I almost fell out of bed because one of my legs was still wrapped around the blanket.
I instinctively tidied up my appearance before pulling the curtain cloth that was blocking my view out the window.
After I thought I was ready, I immediately looked out the window and I could feel the sudden heartbeat beating two times faster.
He, the man was there, leaning against his black car, with his head staring up, at my window.
He, the man looked so handsome, was standing under the deep night sky with the moonlight shining down on him making it hard for me to take my eyes off.
“Ekheemmm ..” the dehemannya heard from the phone that I still stick in the ear, teasing me who was admiring and praising Gibran.
“Are you satisfied looking at me?”coined.
“Ka-you're really here? Since when?” my many.
“If you want to know the answer, why not find out for yourself.”
Holy hooch!
What I'm doing is standing here and stupidly letting Gibran wait down there.
Immediately I ran down the steps one by one to reach the door and meet Gibran.
At first glance I saw a clock on my phone that showed at 3 am. There are doubts about meeting Gibran to visit at this time, my house located in this residential area has rules regarding visiting hours and hours of receiving guests.
But let me defy this time, I miss Gibran too.
The sound of the door creaking echoed in the evening, my smile expanding as the figure of the man behind the door spread his arms wide.
Immediately I sprinkled into his arms. I could feel his embrace so tightly and occasionally he took a peek at the top of my head.
“You violated the rules of the visiting hours in this housing,” I said.
Gibran nodded, “I know.”
“But how else, I really miss my lover,”.
“What business are you working on until it's finished this late?” manya curious.
“Very important business dear. I hope I can finish it as soon as possible.”
Expecting completion? What does it mean that the business is not finished?
“Let it be like this first, I want to hold you longer,” the door.
I obeyed Gibran's request, I laid my head on his chest. My sleepiness seemed to pour into the air. I don't want to miss a moment like this.
“Are you mad at me for not contacting you after our last call?” tanyakanya.
I gave an answer with my head.
“I'm not angry,” kilahku. “I'm just worried about you,”.
The man laughed until our embrace finally unraveled.
“Why laugh?” ask me with a waistline.
“You don't believe it? I'm really not mad.” I asked again to be more convincing.
“Iya dear .. yes,” said. “I believe in you.”
“I believe if you are really angry,” he continued accompanied by laughter.
“Now let me make amends for my mistakes,” he said.
“How?”
“Now get ready, pack some of your clothes,”, Gibran said.
“Where are we going?” my many.
“To a place you like dear,” he replied as his one hand ruffled the top of my head.
...****************...
Not the beach, not another beautiful place. But the place where I and Gibran are, the beauty is beyond that.
“Why stand here?” ask Gibran. “Come in!”
Now Gibran and I are standing in front of a simple building that is no stranger to me.
A rehabilitation parlor that became the place where I entrusted Mother.
The place I would most like to visit from anywhere in the world.
And now, I still have a hard time believing ..Even when the sun is still shy to show itself I've been standing in that place.
“Shortly,” prevent me.
I stopped my steps when I saw the crowd that was happening in the small garden that was next to the parlour.
Ibu Ayu and the other caretakers were busy arranging the table. And what I didn't expect was Rey, Gibran's assistant also seemed to blend in very closely with the others.
Simple birthday decorations have decorated this park to look more festive.
On a long table various kinds of food were already in session. Starting from gudeg, soto, porridge, and various other traditional cakes are neatly arranged up there.
Tears inundated both beads of my eyes, as I read the inscription on the green birthday cake on the table.
“Happy Birthday Mother,” I read 4 simple but meaningful words very deep, especially for me.
I looked at Gibran who greeted me with a sweet smile.
Did Gibran have all this ready? A birthday party, a surprise for my Mother. My inner.
I don't know why my lips are usually so stiff when I have to say the word dear, now it feels so smooth.
“What's going on here, baby?” my many.
"Have you prepared all this?"
“Sayang .. I love you. Not just for you, but for everything you have. I will always try to be your loyal supporter dear, I will always love what you love, and I will take care of what you keep.”
I felt a drop of tear fall down my cheek. I was so moved to hear Gibran's confession. In my heart I pray that all the expressions of Gibran just now are not just limited to the lips.
Gibran took me in his arms.
“Ssttttr .. no tears today dear,” persuade him.
“I want you to be happy, that's all I care about.”
“Now, smile .. We celebrate your Mother's birthday with a carefree heart. After that, let's go home with him,” Gibran said.
“Go home with him?”
“Ya .. go home with him. I don't want you and your mother to always keep the sadness of missing each other. Don't you guys live apart again baby, I know it's torturing you dear.”
My tears finally broke that morning.
“Thank you Gibran, thank you for trying to understand me" I said.
