The Goodness of a Marriage

The Goodness of a Marriage
Chapter 23. Hope

The car, which had been parked in the courtyard this morning, started driving on the road to Jakarta. The luxury car that the Dimas drove continued to accelerate, splitting the road that was increasingly crowded by vehicles. The scorching afternoon burned, began to change the beautiful twilight. The yellowish color of the sun sign will soon disappear and change the darkness of the night, look so stunning at the end there.

Inside the speeding car, Alfan was still staring out the window. Exploring the buildings on the edge of the road they were passing with his sharp beads, while convincing his heart that what he did today was not wrong. The love he had for Kia, was not wrong. Everything was arranged by the almighty. This love is entrusted by the owner of life, and all this time he always tried not to abuse the care of God for his satisfaction.

Wish? Since long ago he never expected more over something that was impossible for him to have, including hoping Kia reciprocated his feelings. Because he knew, Kia had chosen to anchor her heart to others.

However, if today was his chance to fight, it was not a mistake. Kia's divorce was not her fault, but Aryan's stupid mistake wasted a woman as good as Kia. Keep a little hope in the heart, it doesn't matter as long as we can limit ourselves to things we don't deserve to go through.

"If you're meant to be together, you'll definitely stay together." Said Dimas suddenly.

Alfan, who was enjoying the afternoon air sweep through the car window that was left open, turned to his best friend. However, the man who had just uttered that wise-ass sentence, pretended not to know if he was being noticed by her.

"How is their divorce going?" Ask Alfan.

Dimas. He did not know, and did not want to find out.

"Just wait. Wait until the plan that God has prepared, will be fulfilled. Remember the word Aunt Danira, do not cross your line as long as there is still no clarity with the marriage Kia. Just wait and receive the results that will be given by the Aryan family. All we need to do today, is make sure Kia and her baby-to-be are okay." Answer Dimas.

Alfan no longer chimed in. He did not want to disappoint the mother who continued to help him. Exploring her every action today, even though the best woman in her life knew, everything she did today, not solely Kia was her employee, but because he had more feelings for the poor woman.

His gaze returned to the streets. He did not want to disappoint anyone, including his parents. However, if he could be honest at this time, he wanted to reveal and tell Kia, there is a man who is ready to accept and become a father for his son.

"Go to your apartment. I'm going straight home, too." Pinta Alfan's.

Dimas nodded, and continued to concentrate with the steering.

***

Beautiful face wrapped in hijab that has always been the target of almost all students, always beaming before he incised many wounds after their marriage.

"Where are you, honey?" Rasping. His eyes turned red as he continued to cry over his wife's departure. No, it was not Kia's departure that she cried for, but her weeping self that was so weak. If he could be braver against his parents, it would be very easy to find his wife. However, look at him, since long ago until now he could not fight for his love for Kia.

I don't know how long he kept himself in this room. The room bears witness to how great her love for Kia and vice versa. The room that witnessed when he first had the best woman, for the first time. And in this room too, he inflicted wounds on the woman he loved, almost killing her.

"I'm sorry, honey." Mumbled again. Begging for mercy, as if Kia could hear his plea.

The knock on the door of the room accompanied by a voice that was no longer unfamiliar, made Aryan realize if he had spent a long time in the room. The voice of the woman who could never accept Kia, even though her wife was already trying to be a good daughter-in-law in the family. The woman is the same as the wife, so it makes her afraid to hurt.

"Do you need to break Mama down to get you out!" Shouts in front of the door of the room that was still tightly closed, again sounded. However, Aryan is still reluctant to get out of bed as he and Kia used to spend the night.

The door was forcefully opened by security officers. However, Aryan still continued to immerse his face on the pillow.

"You hear Mama, huh? You wanna die here, huh?" Upset the middle-aged woman again as she stepped closer to the bed where her son was.

"Ma, you can't kill me. I really can't lose Kia, Ma." Aryan's tears flowed, soaking the pillow.

"You're really crazy! What are the advantages of that woman to make you up like this. Rika's been waiting for you in this house since morning, and you've been cowering in this bed like a fool!" Read the middle-aged woman while pulling her son's body to get out of bed.

"Ma, please let me meet Kia. Where Mama hid Kia, Ma. I want Kia!" Alfan whine like a child who wants his favorite items returned by his mother.

"Your unknowing wife went alone, and Mama didn't know where she was going." I was upset about Mother Dian because Aryan kept her body in order to stay on the bed. "She even filed for divorce, and was immediately granted by the court." The connection made Aryan surprised. The man who looked so sad, immediately sat on the bed while watching his mother's face closely.

"No, Kia will not do what God hates most. You must have done something to him. Tell me, Ma, where are you hiding Kia!" Aryan's eyes turned red. Her tears welled up, while continuing to stare at her mother. This was the worst news after nearly two weeks of Kia's disappearance.
