The Goodness of a Marriage

The Goodness of a Marriage
Chapter 35. Aryan's Request

A beautiful morning at the Arion family residence. The middle-aged man, seemed so enthusiastic accompanying his four grandchildren to play in the family room. Three handsome men who were busy talking about their respective jobs, were also in the same room. Waiting for the women who were still busy in the back room, finishing their work.

The beautiful breakfast is over. However, I don't know what made the women want to linger in the back room. But they know, if the men who are now sitting in the family room, must go to their respective workplaces.

The clang of the bell at the front door, did not make the conversation in the living room was interrupted. A house assistant stepped quickly towards the front door to see who was visiting her employer's house in the morning like this.

"Bang, we're going home. You'll be late." Take Daniza to her husband.

Daren, who was sitting opposite to his three sisters-in-law, immediately turned his gaze, and looked at Daniza who was ready with a small bag that was wrapped around his wife's shoulder.

"Azka said goodbye to Oma first, son." Pinta Daniza to her son.

The handsome boy climbed up from the floor with the carpet where he sat, and walked obediently to the room pointed by his mother.

Still in the same room, an assistant who had stepped into the front room, now stood not far from where Alfan and his master's children were sitting.

"What's up, Bik?" Ask Daniza.

Azam who was talking a lot with his younger siblings, immediately fell silent.

"Someone wants to meet Neng Kia." The assistant replied that made Alfan distracted.

"Who?" Ask Alfan quickly. There's nothing he can miss if it's about Kia.

"I don't know, Den." Answer the assistant.

Without waiting for approval from the people there, Alfan immediately stepped out of his seat, then stepped into the front room to check who wanted to meet Kia.

When his footsteps stopped in the room, the man he did not want to see again, was already sitting on the sofa available in the room. Making Alfan unable to not clench his hands in annoyance.

"Well, it's my responsibility now. And you have no rights over him." Said Alfan coldly.

Aryan who was sitting on the sofa, immediately raised his face, then looked at the man before him sharply.

"It belongs to you now. But the child you are with right now, is my son." Aryan placed an envelope on the sofa table.

Alfan looked at the white-colored thing in annoyance. Until a while later, Kia was already in the room with the same gaze as Alfan.

"Well are you here again?" Ask annoyed.

Aryan's annoyed look at Alfan just a moment ago, turned sad when he saw the woman he had so longed for was already standing before him with a facial expression he had never seen throughout their marriage. Kia's sharp gaze, also the look on her disgusted face made her heart throb pain. The woman who loved him first, really already had a new life better at this time.

The woman looked back. Making sure the people who were waiting for them with worry in the room, could not hear his voice. He slowly stepped onto the sofa, then sat down in front of Aryan, grabbed a white envelope with a hospital logo and opened it slowly.

After reading the contents of the envelope, Kia again placed it before Aryan carefully.

"Then why? What if he's your son?" Ask Kia streak. His face was still cold, regardless of where the friendly face he always showed in front of Aryan during their marriage.

"I have rights over him, Kia. You should have told me about your pregnancy." Reply Aryan. The disappointment in the man's face was so obvious, because he felt lied to by his ex-wife. "You even took care of our divorce, without asking for my consent." The connection again, made Kia snort.

"Truly a family of liars!" Sneaky Kia.

"It's up to you to hate my family. But that boy, is my flesh and blood. I deserve it." Aryan said firmly. Slightly annoyed when she heard Kia cursing at her family.

"Only a drop of semen that you donated, you already feel so entitled to him. Then what about me, hm? What about me carrying her for nine months without your presence? How can I give birth to her alone, without you? Aren't you ashamed?" Kia's gaze grew sharper. Seen so clearly, eyes that were staring sharply it, dewy. "Isn't your family not desiring any offspring from the womb?" The connection again was still while staring at Aryan sharply.

At the door of the room, Alfan stood quietly. Become a quiet listener among the talks that are still not his realm to interfere.

Moments later, Aryan knelt on the floor where his feet rested while sobbing begging to be given a chance to hug his daughter.

"You know I love you so much, Kia." He said in a barely audible voice. "I want everything about you." Connect again.

Kia is still unaffected. No, not because she no longer has a conscience, but her heart has been frozen because of Aryan treatment and also the family of her ex-husband.

"I just want to meet him. Hugged him for a while. Allow me, Kia." Pinta Aryan again. Netra who used to always look at Kia warmly full of love, is now filled with clear circles.

Kia turned. One tear drop he tried to hold so as not to fall, escaped wetting his cheek. No matter how much he hated Aryan and his family, he also realized that he was wrong because he had chosen to hide his pregnancy from Aryan.

"You know. I took her away unbeknownst to you, just wanting that my daughter wouldn't feel what it's like to live in the middle of your family. I don't want to, my children won't get warm hugs from their grandparents, even though your parents are still there. I don't want to, he has to obey every rule you say you have to obey. I want my daughter to live without burdens, Aryan." Kia.

Aryan was still supportive, staring at the floor on which he rested.

"Him and I are happy with our lives. Go home, your wife and children will be waiting." Say Kia again. This time it was so much softer.

Aryan immediately shook his head.

"I never touched her. I don't know whose son is in my parents' house." Lirih Aryan again.

"Sorry Aryan, it's no longer Kia's business. If you just want to meet our daughter, then later you can call me and I'll arrange a good time." Alfan immediately chimed in on the conversation when he saw Kia who was starting to pity the situation.
