The Goodness of a Marriage

The Goodness of a Marriage
Chapter 29. Not a Husband, I'm a Dad.

The little baby who was sleeping on his bed, has now moved in the arms of Alfan. The unmarried man who had been considered a father by those closest to him, stared fixedly at the tiny face in front of him, like a father staring at his son.

The baby girl looks so comfortable in her arms. Maybe he knew, if this man who was holding his body, would always make sure he was safe.

This is truly the power of the Creator. He was even able to create a drop of semen, become a lump of blood and now become a tiny baby that is so adorable.

Krena could not bear to see the little red cheeks, Alfan immediately landed his nose on the adorable cheeks, then began chanting the adhan so slowly in the ears of baby Kia.

"Welcome to a new world, son." His whisper after chanting the adhan in the baby's ear.

"It's good to be a dad." Said someone who Alfan already knew who. "Udah is a baby carrier." Kekeh Dimas joined menoel the cheeks of a tiny baby who continued to sleep in the arms of Alfan. Lucky Dad impromptu it immediately keeps the baby out of reach of the germ-filled fingers of his best friend.

"I want to touch it a little bit, Fan. To dong." Dimas whine is still trying to menoel those adorable cheeks.

"You haven't washed your hands yet." Alfan replies unwillingly if Dimas touches his baby.

"That's so stingy!" Mumbles Dimas.

Alfan stepped closer to the cot, then placed the tiny baby back onto his bed carefully.

"That's really bad." He said and touched the tiny cheek again with his nose.

"The baby sleeps." Dimas said he was still upset because he was not allowed to touch the baby even though he had washed his hands.

"Excuse me, Sir. Kia's mother has been transferred to the treatment room. I asked the doctor to go there." A nurse who had since continued to witness the silliness of the two friends, finally made a sound.

Alfan turned his head, then turned to look at his best friend in confusion. However, he and Kia have absolutely no legitimate ties in the eyes of religion, and he does not want to go any further until it will disappoint Kia later.

"Let's go. It's okay, maybe the doctor just wants to explain about Kia's health. For other problems, right, there's Bik Ida." Dimas' words broke Alfan's doubts. He wants, the man who has been his best friend for many years, to start a new step to fight for his love.

"alright. Please take care of my daughter." Alfan said, then stepped out of the room towards the other room where Kia was.

Upon arriving in front of the treatment room where Kia was, her footsteps stopped in front of the door of the room. The worry returned to disturb, also a little doubt if Kia rejected his existence.

"Come in, Den." Pinta Bik Ida while opening the door of the room.

Alfan woke up from his daydream. He stared at the unconscious woman on the patient's bed. There was also one female doctor who was checking the intravenous fluid that was hanging on the side of the bed.

"This is her husband?" The beautiful doctor asked when he saw Alfan was already in the same room.

With doubt Alfan nodded. Received the doctor's hand, and shook it carefully.

Alfan nodded in understanding. Hearing Kia was fine, for her it was more than enough.

"I'm sorry, sir, Mom." The doctor's exclamation then passed from Kia's treatment room.

after the departure of the female doctor, Bik Ida stepped towards the sofa in the room and sat there. Alfan, meanwhile, pulled out a chair and took it to the side of the bed where Kia was lying, and sat there. Kia's pale face, she looked deeply.

"You need to be stronger. Now there's a beautiful baby who needs your protection." Alfan said as he continued to stare at Kia's face. After so many months of not seeing this beautiful face, now he is more relieved because Kia managed to get through difficult times that maybe only some women are able to pass through.

Having a pregnancy without a husband is not easy. And now this unconscious woman, must be even stronger in order to always protect her daughter.

"If you will, I'd like to join you in protecting that beautiful baby, Kia." Saying Alfan again. The person he was talking to was still unconscious.

"Neng Kia would. Although not yet now, surely that time will come, Den." Say Bik Ida from the sofa in the corner of the room.

Alfan did not turn his head, and only accepted Bik Ida's sentence, in his heart.

Alfan's gaze now moved on the back of the hand that was stuck in the infusion tube. So great is the struggle of the woman he loves, to turn off his son can see the world. If only the hand was halal for him, ingi. it felt like he grasped it tightly. Giving strength through the hand, so that Kia is stronger in the face of the day.

Long enough Alfan sat by the side of the bed. Staring at Kia's face and hands alternately, without daring to touch, although honestly he was so eager to do so. Slowly the eyes that were about half an hour ago were still tightly closed, starting to open slowly.

"Sir.." Jia said weakly mixed in surprise.

"Let's lie down." Pinta Alfan's. The cold expression he always showed Kia, disappeared somewhere. Replacing the warm gaze mixed with relief, because Kia was already conscious.

The middle-aged woman who could only watch the situation in the room from the sofa, immediately got up and approached the bed. Ask how Kia feels, and what the woman who just officially became the mother wants..

"Where's my baby, Bik?" Ask Kia slowly.

"Stay lying. I'll have the Sister bring her here." Said Alfan again.

Bik Ida did not have time to answer, and was immediately strong from the room to the other room where baby Kia was.

"Thank you, sir." Say Kia slowly.

"Stop thanking me, Kia. I didn't even do anything. You fight alone." Answer Alfan.

He wants to be angry at himself with his situation. Many things he can do, and what makes him upset is, he can't keep the woman he loves with his own hands. Let Kia stay alone in the house she prepared, and fight alone.
