The Goodness of a Marriage

The Goodness of a Marriage
Chapter 5. Family Part 2

In contrast to the atmosphere in the residence Arion and Danira that looks so warm, in the stately house of one of the high officials in Indonesia it looks so cold. There is nothing joking in it. Just a cold gaze barely made the bones freeze, clearly visible there. Breakfast like this is not a framework to strengthen family relationships, however, only a necessity that imposes family rules.

Adzkia sat quietly beside Aryan. The man who had just officially become her husband a few months ago, was seen to be silent since entering the dining room. He knew last night was not going well, but he could not do anything about the family rule that was always in the great by the man who was beside him.

Eating in silence, really doesn't look like family. In the orphanage where he lived first, much better than in this place, which incidentally filled by a large family.

Even the middle-aged man who became the head of the family, was not once seen chatting with his grandchildren. All that has been seen for several months is far from what he would have imagined if he had a new family.

"Mas, I'm doing my job." Whisper Kia. To be honest it was still so early to leave for the office, however, it was better to be alone in the floor rather than freeze to death from the cold gazes of almost the entire house.

"I'm taking it." Reply Aryan.

"Neverything, Mas. Honey if the car purchased is not in use, redundant." Answer Kia.

Aryan just rubbed the top of his wife's head fondly. Kia kissed the back of her husband's hand before moving from the chair she was sitting on. Not to forget also he said goodbye to both in-laws and also his brother-in-law, although he did not get an answer like already.

Kia no longer had a problem with that. She did not want to muddy the atmosphere just because it was not appreciated by her husband's family. She only hopes, if Aryan will continue to love her until later, even though she is not considered there by the entire family of her husband.

Moments later, the sound of the car engine was heard into the room where the big Ganedra family was still located. Convinced that Kia had left the house, Dian Ganedra's mother immediately put the spoon in her hand, onto the table, then looked at her second son sharply.

"You told Kia, didn't you, about your second marriage?" Ask the middle-aged woman.

"Ma, I beg you. I'll persuade Kia to abide by the family rules, but don't force me to remarry another woman." Pinta Aryan pleaded. What else should he convince this woman he respects, if he can compensate for the responsibilities as a child, as well as a good husband for his wife.

"Father don't want to know, don't want to, don't like it you're going to stay married!" Ganedra. The middle-aged man got out of his seat and left the dining room.

"Pa...

"Why are you so hard to set! All this for your good, Aryan." Sela Dian's mother again with annoyance. The woman then moved, and came out of the dining room to catch up with her husband.

"Yin...

"I know, Yan. But it doesn't matter if you try to talk to Kia about this. Talk honestly to him. After all, Rika did not mind if she had to be a second wife. And the one that benefits Kia is, she can get out and be free from family rules. You can still be a couple out there. Husband and wife who love each other, without having to care about various rules." Aryo.

Aryan shook his head firmly. Whatever the reason, it would still hurt Kia.

"Usul Mas Aryo has a point, Yan. You know how Papa and Mama are. If any word comes out of their mouths, it must be done." Bujuk Anggi's.

"Bak is a woman, and also a wife. What if Mas Aryo remarries another woman?" Ask Aryan.

A couple who had been gifted by one child looked at each other, then fell silent. It was like there was something they were hiding.

"Will not take it, will you?" Ask Aryan again.

"Our marriage is just a political marriage, Aryan. There is no love in them. And I won't care about any woman out there, as long as I'm the best woman in the house." Anggi.

Aryan frowned not understanding.

"I've got a woman out there, and Dad knows it. I love my girlfriend, but I can't force her into the family. She's a girl with a lot of dreams, and certainly not a girl who can be pressured by family rules." Aryo.

Aryan. His gaze was fixed on the woman who always looked graceful and neat in front of him, however, the woman was not at all bothered by the sentence that the Big Brother had just said.

"You'll only hurt Kia if you keep forcing her to adapt to our environment." Aryo said again.

"He can do it, Mom. I'm sure Kia's a good girl, and will definitely be able to understand our family's rules." Aryan. I swear by anything, he won't follow in the footsteps of his brother.

Aryo smiled wryly. He knows how to be in Aryan's position at the moment. However, he still needs family support for the continuity of his career in government.

"It is precisely because Kia is a good girl, don't torture her for too long, Aryan. Don't keep making Kia keep all her wounds. You think he's not hurt got a cold stare from Papa and Mama, huh? It seems like you don't really love her, because you can't really feel what she's feeling right now!" Aryo said firmly. After saying that long sentence, he then moved from his seat. Likewise with Anggi, just like the mother-in-law did earlier, she also moved from her seat, following the husband out of the dining room.

Now Aryan was silent alone in front of the table that was still filled with dishes. There are even some neatly arranged menus there, just as untouched. Aryan tried to digest the sentence just spoken by the Big Brother, but his head felt like breaking. What kind of woman would you like to be in? It was impossible, Aryo and Anggi must have lied to him.
