The Goodness of a Marriage

The Goodness of a Marriage
Chapter 31. Past Times

Three people who looked like a happy little family, stepped inside the mall building. After years of seclusion from the city that gave him a lot of injuries, now Kia trying to strengthen her legs to go deeper. Let's just say today is the first day for him to learn to start a new life. So that later, he no longer feels afraid to face his cruel past.

Escalators inside the magnificent building began to climb up towards the top floor which became their destination. Kia stands right behind Alfan who is so enthusiastic about keeping his daughter, just like a father who wants to always make sure his daughter is safe.

"Well, I can, Pa." The stubborn little girl refused the grip offered by the Papa. Kia tried to hold back the laughter of seeing the two people united by the situation arguing with each other. The man called Papa is too possessive of a stubborn little girl.

Moments later, three people who had been on the escalator had arrived on the top floor where many clothing stores were lined up. Kayra who was so excited to immediately choose clothes for herself, immediately ran. Alfan, who also did not want his daughter to stay away from him, immediately stepped quickly leaving Kia who was still following them from behind.

Long enough time they use just to walk to and fro and until now have not yet got the clothes wanted by his daughter. Unable to stand the attitude of the two people in front of her, Kia chose to wait in one of the seats available there.

"Fan, I'll wait there, okay?" Pamit Kia's. Alfan looked briefly at the chair Kia pointed at, then nodded.

Kia immediately got out of the place where the children's clothes were, and stepped towards the chair to rest. His feet were tired of his overactive daughter. Not to mention, Alfan who always followed the will of the little girl he was born five years ago.

I don't know how many tens of minutes Kia spent sitting in that chair. Look around the floor where it is. Well, this is the city of Jakarta which is nicknamed the metropolitan city. A city that is never absent by crowds of people.

After a while surrounding the room with her neutrals, Kia was stunned as her gaze was instantly fixed on the pair of eyes that were also watching her from a considerable distance away.

Body vibrates. Want to move immediately, but his knees seemed no longer able to support his body weight.

Until finally, the man who did not let go of his gaze, began to step closer towards him.

The panic is getting worse. Kia moved from her seat. Just then, Alfan came up with a paper bag as well as Kayra who was in his arms.

Looking at Kia who looked paled, Alfan immediately turned his gaze and followed the direction Kia's gaze was directed towards. And there he was, the man who no longer wanted to be met by the woman he loved, getting closer to them. Alfan stood quietly in front of Kia, protecting the body of the woman he loved from the gazes of other men. Not another man, but the ex-husband of the woman he loved.

"Darling I'm looking for you." A spoiled voice rang out in Kia's ears. She knew she must be the wife of her ex-husband. The woman he had seen once before he ended up in the hospital nearly six years ago.

Seeing Aryan being distracted by the woman who was out of nowhere, Alfan immediately grabbed Kia's hand and prepared to step away from the building. Just curse her who didn't listen to Kia's warnings of quiet men from the past of this woman she loved.

"Kija.." Lirih Aryans.

"Is this my son?" Ask Aryan.

Kia was surprised by such a sudden and sensitive question. He lifted his head, then looked at Aryan sharply.

The cynical smile on Kia's lips was seen when she found the woman who was hugging Aryan's arm was not Rika, but another woman who had no idea who.

"Suckhead." The meaning in the heart. Kia turned to look at the sexy woman who was standing next to her ex-husband, then turned to Kayra and closed her daughter's ears.

"Are you stupid? Do you think you're the only one who can get a woman easily? Don't be naive Aryan. You can only be interested in me, what about Mas Alfan who already knew me first. She, this little girl is the result of our affair. Do you think I want to conceive a child for a family that won't want my child? I'm not that stupid, Aryan. You know I'm the smartest student on campus, you should also know I wouldn't be that stupid to make a decision." Kia replied making Alfan aghast. "Come, sweetie." Take Kia while releasing both hands from Kayra's ears, and hold Alfan's hand.

"I won't believe." Alfan.

"And I don't care!" Firmly Kia while continuing to step away from the pair of lovers who were busy cheating, without looking again.

Already far enough away, Kia let go of her hand grip, yet, Alfan immediately held her back. Now Kia's hand that still felt so cold, remained in Alfan's grasp.

Alfan was still silent, even though Kia looked so strong, however, he knew this woman who was stepping beside him was frightened. Evidently with his ice-cold hands. He continued to take Kia out of the mall building to the parking lot. Not only did he no longer have any interest in this place, he also had another store he wanted to visit to buy gifts for his nephew.

"Sorry for carrying your name." Lirih Kia felt guilty when Alfan had gotten into the car. Kayra was sitting comfortably in the passenger seat.

"I'm happy, really. Kay's happy to be Papa's son?" Alfan asked with a soft tone of voice.

"of course. Buy me another new shirt, Pa." Kayra replied with her crisp voice.

Kia grunted in annoyance. There was no point in the guilt that had plagued him since. The man who made her feel guilty for her blasphemous sentence was smiling triumphantly. Not to mention his little girl who was always as serious as the man beside him.

Alfan starts driving his car to another shopping place to pick up his order for Arkana. Kia, however, looked out the car window. His heart was still beating so fast. Reuniting with a man from a past full of wounds, it does make his adrenaline rush.
