The room measuring 4x4 meters was quiet even though the occupants increased. Ruby was still sitting on her desk chair, while Hiko was engrossed in her phone on Ruby's bed.
Ruby glanced at the cynical man who was in control of his bed, his hatred did not just disappear even though the phrase ijab qabul had been pronounced.
He still clearly remembered how nervous the man's expression was when he touched his crown and followed the prayer his ashes were leading. Very different from his current haughty and indifferent attitude.
"When do you go back to your own room?" Ask Ruby.
"I'm not allowed to be with my Nyokab." Answer Hiko cuek.
"I can't sleep with a mas." Said Ruby.
"Sleep in another room. You're the one who owns this house, freely donk choose any room."
Ruby silently held back the upset, kosher not burn him? Inner Ruby. Not wanting to be more upset, Ruby decided to take a change of clothes and go out of the room.
"Where. By?" Nyai asked Hannah when she saw her daughter was still not asleep.
"Ruby can't sleep with Hiko, Ummi." Ruby Whine.
Nyai Hannah covered her mouth with a chuckle, "Yes have to be made up donk, son."
Rubby shook his head, "Can't Ummi, Ruby just wants to sleep in the back room."
"By, from now on don't keep your distance from your husband, he's your paradise. Staying away from him is like keeping you out of God's heaven, son."
Ruby sighed in annoyance, without saying anything Ruby left Nyai Hannah and went into the bathroom.
After changing clothes and ablution, Ruby was very forced to return to her room. He found Hiko who was sleeping there,
The bed was big enough to be made to sleep together, but Hiko's body was almost in the middle of the mattress, making room for Ruby even narrower. He did not want to come into contact with Hiko at all.
Finally, he decided to sleep on his desk chair. Ruby used her left arm as a head pillow, her eyes had not been drowned because the water made her more fresh. He stared out the window of his room which was only covered in thin curtains.
His fingers alternately knocked on the table, at first glance he saw a silver ring that was quite snugly circular on his ring finger. Ruby smiled wryly, still asleep, taking two small boxes from her desk drawer. He opened it, put it on the table. There is one gold ring with different models in each box.
I rejected a man who really loved me and got such a bad man. What is God planning on me? Does he want to talk to me?
Ruby closed each of the small boxes where two rings were supposed to be returned to the owner but he was not sincere if he had to return them.
Long staring at the two boxes, making his eyes more sleepy until finally he fell asleep with his arms on the study table.
**********
The sound of a chicken behind the house faintly sounded in Ruby's ear. He blinked his eyes several times to adjust the retina of his eye to the light from outside the room that entered his room.. He stared at the ceiling of his room that was minimal light, trying to collect back some of his life who was traveling to several places to produce dreams that he sometimes did not understand.
He lifted the blanket that covered his legs to his waist and then sat down to pull his hands up to relieve his drowsiness. He stared at the wall clock that still showed at half-three in the morning.
She fixed her headscarf that was a little messy because of her sleep. Waitaminute! Why am I wearing this? His inner. Ruby looked at the table near her bedroom window, she slept there last night and she woke up on the bed. Soon Ruby looked to the side.
Hhufts.
Ruby let out a sigh of relief, she did not find Hiko there.
*How can I move on the bed? Or subconsciously I walked here? Or, did Hiko move me?
Ah, think what am I? How could he possibly have such a conscience*.
Ruby decided to stop all her conjecture and immediately took ablution to establish night prayers.
His steps stopped in front of the door of his room when he had just returned from the ablution. His eyes were fixed on someone sleeping in the darkness in the living room of his house.
"Why did your husband sleep there, By?"
Kyai Abdullah's question took Ruby by surprise.
"Wake him up, ask him to pray and tell him to rest in the room" Abi said then passed towards the house mosque.
Ruby obeyed Abinya's orders, she approached Hiko and took the sofa pillow that was on the sofa. He wiggles Hiko's legs using a pillow.
"Mas Hiko wake up." He said, his hands were unceasingly shaking Hiko's legs with a pillow.
"Hmmm..." Hiko answered without opening her eyes.
"Let's pray at night, mas." Bring Ruby.
Instantly Hiko opened her eyes, her eyes squinted at Ruby. "What time is it?" Ask Hiko.
"It's almost three o'clock, let's hunt wudhu."
Hiko went to the ablution, while Ruby went straight into her room.
Two prayer mats have been held on the floor of his room Ruby, he has put on a face and sits on a prayer mat waiting for Hiko who will be his prayer priest.
Chequek!
The door to the room is open. Hiko emerged from behind the door with her face and hair still wet, her fingers busy fixing her hair style that was limp because of the water.
"Now do you realize that I'm that good?" Ask Hiko.
"What's handsome if you don't have good manners." Ruby's lips, her admiration vanished instantly as the man's thin lips made a sound.
"Lo diem mulu's name there?" Ask Hiko again.
"Wait for me!" Ruby replied annoyed.
"Gue's? Make what?" Hiko sat on the bed, staring at the empty prayer mat in front of Ruby. "Lo didn't tell me to be your priest, did he?"
Ruby stood up annoyed, took the prayer mat she had prepared for Hiko and threw it at Hiko. "Wasting time waiting for you!" said Ruby.
"Who asked to wait for me."
Ruby let out a long sigh, calmed down and then she started her prayer. While Hiko was busy with her phone, then pulled out some clothes to change because she had to return to Jakarta with a morning flight.
***********
Nyai Hannah was busy in the kitchen with Ruby and the two princesses who helped her, Maria was not reluctant to come there. Sunlight was already peering out from the eastern skyline, preparing to roll up the dawn atmosphere.
Kyai Abdullah has been talking to Handoko and Hiko in front of the porch since returning from the early morning mosque. They discussed the wedding reception and the future residence of Hiko and Ruby.
"Since childhood Ruby has often said that she does not want to wear a reception, she said she was embarrassed to have to stand seen by many people." Kyai Abdullah. "But if Mr. Handoko wants to make a reception, I will persuade Ruby. I hope he wants to, sir."
"Hahahaha, it does seem that he's a sweet and shy boy huh kyai."
"Yuk!" Hiko chokes on the fried banana she ate when she heard her papa say Ruby was a sweet and shy child.
"Why, Ko?" Handoko patted her son's back.
"What's up, Pa." He patted his chest.
"And about where they live later, Hiko happens to have her own house. It's not too big sir, but God's Inshaa is quite comfortable for both of them to live in." Handoko.
Kyai Abdullah nodded, "Yes, sir. Inshaa Allah, if there is time, Ruby and I will stop by your house to visit."
Suddenly a car stopped in the yard, leaving Kyai Abdullah and Handoko talking to a standstill. A man in a black shirt with jeans got out of the car. His face was friendly even without a smile.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Kyai." Her speech.
"Wa'alaikumsalam, Iqbal?" Kyai Abdullah approached him.
Iqbal kissed Kyai's hand and immediately hugged her, her tears just flowing.
"I'm sorry, son."
Iqbal immediately released his embrace and wiped his tears.
"Why is Ruby this mean to me, kyai?" Her speech.
Kyai Abdullah just patted Iqbal on the shoulder. He drew Iqbal's hand, "This is Ruby's husband. "
Hiko stood up, the second time Hiko met iqbal. Hiko stretched out her hand, "Hiko."
Iqbal welcomed Hiko's hand, "Iqbal." he let go of Hiko's hand, "I pray that God bless you in all things and unite you in goodness."
"Aamiin's." Hiko Sahut. Very good people, again heartbroken still do'ain people who make him hurt, inner Hiko.
PYARR
Prahaang!
The tray that Ruby carried fell and made all the glasses on it scattered on the floor when she saw Iqbal standing in front of Hiko.
"Ruby!"
Iqbal just intended to approach Ruby, but the beautiful girl rushed into the house.
