The gurgling sound of rainwater accompanied Hiko and Ruby's dinner. Silent and cold still faithfully accompanied them. The two ignored each other and showed each other who had the highest self-esteem.

Hiko immediately left the dining table after the rice and side dishes had run out, while Ruby first cleaned the dining table. After washing the dishes, he went to the room. He saw Hiko was on the balcony of his room, heard he was trying to convince someone with an occasional high note there. Ruby could guess if the man was having a fight with his lover. Ruby ignored him, not intending to steal Hiko's conversation.

Ruby's phone lying on the sofa shook. There's an incoming call from Umminya.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Ummi." Greetings Ruby.

"Wa'alaikumsalam, son. Ummi want to tell you, if now ummi is in Jakarta, in your paklek house."

"Oh Allah, Ummi. Why don't you tell Ruby if you want to come? Ruby can get Ummi to the airport." Ruby looks so happy.

"Ummi wants to give you a surprise. What are you doing now? How's your husband doing?"

His question Hannah made Ruby look at Hiko, unexpectedly Hiko was also staring at her. Soon Ruby turned her face away.

"Ruby and Mas Hiko just finished dinner, Ummi. Alhamdullillah mas Hiko is also in good health." Answer Ruby.

"Alhamdullillah if so, son. Tomorrow you come here, Ummi kangen."

"Ruby also misses Ummi." Said Ruby. somehow her heart was very touched to hear the last sentence uminya.

"We'll connect tomorrow, son. Don't sleep malem-malem, yeah. Assalamu'alaikum."

"Yes, Ummi. Wa'alaikumsalam." The phone connection has been cut off.

Ruby did not immediately put down her phone, she stared at the phone that was still in her grasp for longer.

The question that came out of Hiko's mouth made Ruby end her daydream. He looked at the man approaching him.

"I want to give you permission if I want to stay at my Chinese house?" Ask Ruby.

"Well, are you suddenly going there?" Hiko asked back, he sat at the end of the bed.

"I miss my umm." Answer Ruby. That's not my only reason, I also want to distance myself from a jerk like you. Inner Ruby.

"Gue anter lo!" Hiko stood up from her seat.

"I'll go alone, Mommy." Reject Ruby.

"Lo deliberately want to fall my good name in front of your family?" Ask Hiko. "You want to go, I'm anter!"

Ruby let out a sigh of resignation, she nodded her head agreeing to the terms of Hiko.

After changing clothes, he caught up with Hiko who had already gone to the car.

Hiko stopped his car in the courtyard of Kyai Nur's house, this is the first time Hiko entered the courtyard of the Darul Hikmah boarding school. He went down, ran over to Ruby. The release of the denim jacket from his body and used as an umbrella to prevent Ruby's body from raindrops.

Sounds authenticated from inside the house, soon the door opened and appeared Kyai Nur there.

"Ruby's? How did tumben malem-malem come here?" Kyai Nur looks confused.

Ruby and Hiko take turns shaking hands with Kyai Nur.

"Ummi called earlier, said if you again kangen, paklek. Ruby's here right away." Answer Ruby.

"Let's go in and in." Kyai Nur grabs Hiko's back and invites them in.

"Ummi, Miss Hannah. There's this Ruby." Kyai Nur tries to call his wife and sister-in-law.

Ruby chooses to go inside and look for her umminya, while Hiko sits in the living room after the owner of the house invites her to sit down.

Nyai Hannah was surprised to see the presence of Ruby, happy and confused. Alternately Ruby kissed her umminya and bulek hands. Nyai Hannah hugged her daughter tightly. Although often away with his daughter, but this time is different because now his daughter is in a new family.

Ruby and Nyai Hannah went to Hiko, while Nyai Fatimah went to the kitchen to prepare drinks for her guests.

Hiko immediately greeted his mother-in-law, "Assalamu'alaikum, Nyai's mother." Hiko looked back, "Pak Kyai isn't coming, Miss Nyai?"

"Wa'alaikumsalam, just call us like Ruby called us, Nak Hiko. Abi and Ummi." Strictly Nyai Hannah with a smile, "Abi there is still something to be done in Malang. So you can't come here yet."

Nyai Hannah sat in the other seat, "Did you let your wife stay here?"

Their conversation was cut short by the presence of Azizah carrying a tray of warm tea to accompany the conversation on this cold night. Nyai Fatimah and Fauzan followed behind him. Hiko greeted the bulek and the two nieces of Ruby and continued their conversation.

There's not much this family has to talk about, it has to be cut off again by the vibrations in Hiko's phone. Hiko stared at him for a moment then stuffed him back into his jacket pocket.

"Having been searched, my dear?" Ruby asked, not caring but rather expelling.

Hiko nodded, "I have to leave now because it's been awaited." Hiko stood up, bidding farewell to the Ruby family.

"Well, your husband gets to the car, son." Pinta Nyai Hannah's.

Lazy Ruby took the umbrella in the corner of the room, Rain fell more heavily.

"Assalamu'alaikum" Pamit Hiko before leaving the terrace of Kyai Nur's house

"Wa'alaikum..."

Hiko takes over Ruby's quails and they begin to walk under the same umbrella through the torrent of rain.

Hiko gave her quail back to Ruby right in front of her car door.

"Gue wants to stay at Nara's house." Hiko said, making Ruby stupefied. Hiko held Ruby's hand, knowing that the woman in front of her was about to leave.

"He was angry because I left him at the shooting location." Hiko gave an excuse.

Ruby brushed Hiko off and left Hiko. Hiko just silently looked at Ruby, letting herself fall into the rain. He sees Nyai Hannah still at the door, making Hiko give a smile and then get in the car.

Nyai Hannah could have guessed that something was going on between Ruby and Hiko.

Ruby slept with Umminya, in the room that had become her room. The room lights are out, the raindrops become the most perfect bedtime music. But not for Ruby, he still faithfully stared at the wall clock. His mind was being preoccupied with the conjectures towards Hiko and Nara. He had already brushed it off, but his brain still kept forcing him to think the same thing.

The touch of Nyai Hannah's hand in her arms made Ruby let go of all her thoughts. He looked at Nyai Hannah, "Yes, Ummi?"

Nyai Hannah got up and sat down, turned on the nightstand sleeping lights. "Does being away from your husband make you sleepless?" Ask Nyai Hannah.

Ruby also woke up and sat down, he leaned his back on the headboard of the bed. His gaze straight ahead, he himself confused what to answer.

Nyai Hannah gently stroked her daughter's hair, "You guys are having a fight?" Ask Nyai Hannah.

Ruby was silent again, it was not unusual for her if every day she and her husband fought. It's just that this time it's different, when Hiko says she'll be staying at Nara's house.

Nyai Hannah smiled and held her hands together, "You can't measure the level of human goodness and ugliness, son. God has the right to all of that. Not necessarily what is bad you think, bad also in His eyes. God knows best for you."

Ruby was down, she was thinking about something.

"It is impossible for God to bring you to this point without any purpose or purpose. Make him a complement to your shortcomings, and make yourself a complement to his shortcomings. If you think you are good, he must be a good man. If he is a bad man, learn to be a better man. Get to know him, son. God cannot make his servant laugh."

Nyai Hannah raised her daughter's face, "Don't*t*acabur, son. We are not perfect people. In God's eyes, we are not necessarily better than those we think are bad."

How could he be this arrogant just feel more confident and closer to his Lord. Is it because she hates her husband so much that she can't know his kindness?
