Chapter 195 — Gather Back
After arriving at the door that had six boxes, Lian Haocun sat cross-legged in front of the door while starting to think about the meaning behind all the stone carvings that were in his hands.
It started with the easiest, fire. For Lian Haocun the fire signified a battle that led to destruction and misery.
‘Battle... What history is the key to sorting it?’ Think Lian Haocun.
The more Lian Haocun thought about it, the more he felt the idea made sense. Therefore, Lian Haocun began to recall the history of the formation of the continents, as well as what happened afterwards. Then, Lian Haocun began to search for the meaning behind each carving.
Time passed quickly, in approximately forty-five minutes, Lian Haocun managed to find the meaning of each stone carving. Lian Haocun refers to the 'circle' carving as the birth of the seven races, and was the beginning of the world's formation.
'Collapsed yarn' means chaos, which can also be interpreted as messy. 'Two swords clashing' means a war that ends with ‘api’, destruction. Then there are star carvings that can be interpreted as hope or light. Then comes the flower, which signifies beauty, which can refer to peace.
After successfully sorting, Lian Haocun started to insert the figures behind the stone carvings. Started from, 7 (Circle) – 4 (Collapsed Pool) – 8 (Two Fitted Swords) – 2 (Fire Flaming) – 6 (Star) – 5 (Flower). Lian Haocun waited, but the door he had expected to open, still did not open even after a few minutes had passed, which meant that the password was wrong!
Lian Haocun immediately found out where his mistake lay. Anyhow actually the position of ‘Bang Dangerous’, ‘Two Fanged Swords’ And ‘The burning fire’ is quite confusing, because the meaning of these three engravings is quite similar to each other.
However, an idea suddenly flashed through Lian Haocun's mind. Then Lian Haocun placed the 'two clashing swords' at the very back. And enter the numbers according to the order of the new stone carving, 7 – 4 – 2 – 6 – 5 – 8.
The circle signifies the birth of the seven races, and is a new beginning. Then, there was a war between races, as well as civil war between fellow races, which resulted in ‘Benang messy' or chaos. Then the chaos brings destruction or the form of 'flaming fire'.
After a seemingly irreversible destruction, each race experiences ‘star’, a sign of rebirth. Rebirth means change. The old self disappears and is born into a new, better self. Then, comes the long-awaited temporary peace, which is ‘bunga’, peace.
Unfortunately, the peace did not last long. After that very short peace, came a new era, ‘sword that collided’, which means competition or competition. Yeah, this is where Lian Haocun got it wrong.
Peace is not the end, but only the beginning of a new era. Endless and endless competition between individuals and groups. This was, the era where Lian Haocun and Lian Huanran lived now.
As Lian Haocun suspected, the door opened by itself. Lian Haocun stared at the scene behind the door, and stepped into the central area to the outside. He was one step further towards the area of the Core Tower now.
The place where Lian Haocun stands today, is called the Land of Jotun. The land of Jotun consists of rock hills and wilderness, which has many ferocious magical beasts, and is hidden in every unknown corner.
After closing the door, Lian Haocun directly observed the surroundings, then he opened the map given by Chao Bence. Lian Haocun estimated the location where he was, then began his journey to the border between Jotun Land and Hell Land. However, he agreed to meet with Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu at the border.
To make the trip easier, Lian Haocun climbed one of the rocks high enough, then jumped into the rocks of the nearest other. He did that most of the way, and managed to avoid various problems many times.
Because, several times on the way, Lian Haocun found many battles between members of different sects. There were also among fellow sect members who seemed to be at odds. Lian Haocun only stared at them at a glance, before continuing on his way.
Whereas on the other hand, Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu managed to solve the puzzle of the door they found, and entered the middle area to the outside, the Land of Hell. As the name suggests, the land of hell is a place that contains evil spirits, such as killer spirits, thieves and people who commit criminal acts. That said, it was a gloomy place.
This made Lian Haocun's journey longer than it should have been. In the end, the giant-sized crow had unimaginable bad luck after meeting Lian Haocun. However, from these crows as well, Lian Haocun also obtained some black-colored gems of unknown function.
After finishing the crows, Lian Haocun continued on his way. There were some minor annoyances, however, that did not hamper Lian Haocun's journey.
Lian Haocun arrived first, so he had to wait for Lian Haocun, and Qian Wenwu who was struggling through the Land of Hell. Because, every time they stepped, there would be evil spirits that disturbed them. Fortunately, no fatal wounds were obtained from the evil spirits.
After waiting for almost an hour, Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu finally met. Surely during that hour, Lian Haocun was not just silent, he hunted various magical beasts, and the spirits that harassed him to get the jewels dropped by them. After all, it was possible that the gem would be useful later on.
Lian Haocun looked at Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu who were quite messy and exhausted from being chased by evil spirits, and looked at them with cold faces. Lian Huanran noticed her brother's gaze, and immediately tidied up her clothes, whereas Qian Wenwu was only speechlessly confused.
Of course, Lian Huanran knew that Lian Haocun actually did not ask her to tidy up her clothes, but, before she realized, her body had reflexively done so.
Lian Haocun did not discuss Lian Huanran's strange actions, then said, “Let's go.”
Then they went to the Spartal Cave. The Spartal Cave was still part of the central area to the outside, and was located within the Land of Hell. Spartal Cave is the abode of a group of beautiful fairies. If likened, a group of fairies were like butterflies.
The reason why they went to the Spartal Cave was to explore. However, there could be hidden treasures in the cave, and Lian Huanran did not want to miss them. Plus their time in the ‘ realm Ancient Kingdom of Midgard’ is so much, that they don't have to worry about running out of time.
Then, Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu began their journey towards the Spartal Cave. Again, Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu had to face evil spirits that were shaped quite creepily.
In fact, they could easily defeat those evil spirits with their current cultivation level, however, due to the rush by the previous time, Lian Huanran and Qian Wenwu decided to just run.
However, Lian Huanran actually had another reason, she was afraid of such things, so, automatically, her first thought when meeting that bunch of creepy-looking evil spirits, was to run away!
