Chapter 25 — First Round of Daffodil Conference (1)

Wu Shilin, a disciple of the Upper Level Sect, the Blue Blood Valley Sect who had many poison masters within. Wu Shilin himself was also a poison master, but his cultivation was not inferior to his skill in poison. Wu Shilin was only fourteen years old with a cultivation level equivalent to Lian Haocun, Foundation Building stage 4.

Then the staff guided the participants of the Daffodil Conference to the arena of the Daffodil Conference.

There were many people clustered with juba of different sects in the square-shaped arena with a protector by his side. Shen Wenhuan who was asked to take care of Bai and Cheng said in a mysterious tone,

“Good reflexes.” Wu Shilin's comment that looked at the entire scene while looking at Lian Haocun with a smile.

Then suddenly Wu Shilin took out a white sword from his storage ring and immediately rushed towards Lian Haocun. Lian Huanran immediately reacted by releasing a few arrows towards Wu Shilin which Wu Shilin avoided easily. While Tang Yelu had to deal with the other Blue Blood Valley sect members.

Lian Haocun used his black sword to fend off Wu Shilin's sword attack. Wu Shilin was shocked in his heart,

‘Isn't he just Foundation Building stage 1? How can he fend off my attack?’

However Wu Shilin did not think too much and tested again by attacking many times at a fast speed, he said, the one Lian Haocun was repelling easily even the Spiritual Qi in Lian Haocun's sword increased as the clash made Wu Shilin even more shocked.

Wu Shilin was pushed back two steps due to the final clash of his sword with Lian Haocun's sword while Lian Haocun rushed to attack Wu Shilin after he was pushed back. Wu Shilin dodged quite quickly and flexibly, but his cheeks were scratched slightly by Lian Haocun's sword whereas Lian Haocun wasn't even injured in the slightest.

Wu Shilin moved the roots of his elemental plant intending to attack Lian Haocun secretly but unexpectedly Wu Shilin, who had no intention of attacking Lian Haocun, Lian Haocun dodged his sneak attack so flexibly and quickly that Wu Shilin even thought Lian Haocun knew of the existence of his plant roots.

While Lian Haocun was dealing with Wu Shilin, Lian Huanran had to deal with the other Blue Blood Valley sect members along with Tang Yelu. Since Lian Huanran's ability was archery, he could not fight close range with his opponents so his condition was at a disadvantage.

Moreover, despite wanting to make a distance, Lian Huanran could not make the distance as he pleased, there were participants from other sects who would somehow attack him. Tang Yelu was a little desperate yet she remained level-headed and dodged the attacks from her opponents nimbly.

Lian Haocun who managed to repel Wu Shilin, did not care about Wu Shilin anymore but rushed towards Lian Huanran who was pushed back by his opponent even though there was not a single wound on his body.
