The Journey To Become The Strongest

The Journey To Become The Strongest
Chapter 26 — First Round of Daffodil Conference (2)

There were two members of the Blue Blood Valley Sect dealing with Lian Huanran. Lian Haocun immediately fended off the attack of the Blue Blood Valley Sect members, let's call him A.

There was a strong clash between Lian Haocun and A made A desperate retreat due to both his sword skills and his cultivation level, all under Lian Haocun.

Surprise could be seen on the faces of A and B who were members of the Blue Blood Valley Sect who attacked Lian Huanran for not expecting Lian Haocun to be so strong.

A and B were focused on attacking Lian Huanran, so they did not see the fight between Lian Haocun and Wu Shilin. Although there were various guesses because Lian Haocun was able to escape from Wu Shilin, circumstances made them unable to think much.

Lian Huanran immediately took advantage of the situation and released an arrow with a red fire arrow technique towards B who was willing to attack Lian Haocun.

While Lian Haocun attacked A many times causing a strong clash between the two swords that were fed by Spiritual Qi. The result A lost a landslide after several rounds and was thrown backwards to the outside of the arena.

While B dodged Lian Huanran's arrow nimbly but his arm remained scratched slightly and his shirt was burned by the fire from Lian Huanran's arrow.

B reacted quickly, tearing off his arm clothes that were burned by the fire and attacking Lian Huanran from the front at high speed. Lian Haocun who had finished taking care of A immediately helped Lian Huanran fend off B's attack.

Knowing the situation was detrimental, B immediately backed off and dealt with the other participants to immediately complete the first round. The sounds of fighting continued to be heard around Lian Haocun as well as Lian Huanran.

Tang Yelu in time quickly merged into Lian Haocun and Lian Huanran who had already gathered together. The Blue Blood Valley Sect members surrendered and looked for the other participants as well as Wu Shilin.

Unable to relax in the slightest after the members of the Blue Blood Valley Sect surrendered, the other participants immediately attacked Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu with a hint of disdain.

After all they did not pay attention to the other person's fight and only paid attention to his cultivation level and status. Eventually they were heavily defeated under the attack formations of Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu.

In a fairly short time the participants reduced to ½ to reach the number of fifty people after a fierce battle.

The voice of the host made the contestants aware, the first “Babak of the Daffodil Conference is finished! Congratulations to the escaped participants! You are welcome to rest for thirty minutes to restore power.”

A slightly sweaty Lian Haocun immediately walked out of the arena followed by Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu who were already drenched in sweat yet fighting spirit flared in their eyes. Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu were greeted by the cries and cheers of the audience.

Not a few onlookers noticed Lian Haocun who displayed an incredible ability to be comparable to the talented Wu Shilin. Lian Haocun nonchalantly returned to where the Blue Sky Sect was followed by Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu.

Shen Wenhuan visited Lian Haocun and his group then said softly, “Good work.”

Luo Bowen and Chun Ming who followed behind Shen Wenhuan and had already returned first for failing to qualify for the first round, apologized sincerely to Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu, respectively,

“Inscuse us.”

Tang Yelu saw that Lian Haocun had no intention of answering and Lian Huanran was playing with Bai and Cheng so she represented them replied, “No problem.”

Then they sat down on their seats earlier while recovering the Spiritual Qi for the second half. Elder Hong and Elder Rong rushed over to congratulate him for passing the first round and a short speech and advice after Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu sat down.

Unexpectedly Wu Shilin and his followers who were allegedly members of the Four-man Blue Blood Valley Sect walked towards the place where Lian Haocun, Lian Huanran and Tang Yelu were. Wu Shilin placed his hand on his fist to salute the three Elders and said,

“Greetings from Wu Shilin to Elder Shen, Elder Hong and Elder Rong.”

Then glanced at Lian Haocun a glance and threw a gentle smile at him. Lian Haocun who saw it only retorted back by staring at Wu Shilin indifferently.

The reputation of Lian Haocun and Lian Huanran was pressured by Shen Wenhuan to not attract those who had evil intentions hence it was rare for people outside the Blue Sky Sect to know of Lian Haocun and Lian's talent Huanran.

However the sensitive people who fought with them would definitely be aware of the peculiarities, and again the existence of a magic tool capable of concealing the original level of one's cultivation was a common thing that all races knew.

Then Wu Shilin continued praising, “The Blue Sky Sect is amazing. Tang Yelu had nimble evasion skills, none of my members were able to scratch her in the slightest.

Of course Lian Huanran and Lian Haocun are also no less extraordinary, especially Lian Haocun he is very extraordinary, very rarely do I find someone who has very high sword skills.”

Although Wu Shilin was a poison master, his ability as a swordsman was no less formidable than his skill in poison. Although Wu Shilin was better known as a poison master, he was also a great swordsman.

Shen Wenhuan represented Elder Hong and Elder Rong replied Wu Shilin, “Thank you for the praise of Young Master Wu.”
